Hope it’s more enjoyable than challenging now! I do find them a headache for transport to an event; but just for around home they are great…and everyone has cereal bowls they can borrow 😜
I legitimately stopped the video halfway and ran out and cut 3 bunches of stems to arrange tomorrow, thank you for getting me excited to design something new based around my nasturtiums!
Yay! Hope you have fun with them today! If the nasturtiums give you trouble, part them out (less leaves per stem) and you can also soak them immersed in water in a cool place and they will hydrate nicely
The videos do take so long to edit! I find that I have a bottleneck getting them out to you all; but thankfully I’m getting quicker and hopefully improving in quality as well 😄
Oh my goodness, you are inspiring! Out in the rain! It’s just water right? How you select your material, I love seeing how you use all sorts of things they are just in the garden and then the design…it’s so beautiful! I have so much to learn! I feel my arrangements look like a mess! I keep learning though. You position things and spend the time, I need to do this. Focusing on the direction of the flowers. Thank you 🙏 I feel I’m in too much of a hurry. Thank you so much because I am learning. 🙏🙏🙏
In hindsight I shouldn’t have filmed this one because it would have been a 20 min project if I hadn’t whereas filming triples the time investment so I was absolutely drenched 🤣. But oh well, it’s just a water like you say hahah. Glad it was helpful to you!
@@floristsonfarms well the arrangement I did for my client that I felt was a bit of a mess after watching you do your arrangements, turned out to be adored and loved! She rang me and literally cried she was so thrilled! I was given her vase which was not the easiest vase to work with plus the brief was Proteas and Waratahs which are both heavy stemmed flowers, and I added Alstroemerias with another Heather type bush flower that gave me the dainty element and the right coloring but it was challenging to do! I couldn’t tape the vase, the elements were too heavy, I was given a glass vase with a wide neck, and tall! I couldn’t use wire. So I did a bouquet in my hands, tying off a couple of times so I could manage the weight. So when I finished, after working on this arrangement for a couple of hours, I kept changing and taking my time…. I was feeling like it was a mess! But she was so thrilled and grateful so you know, the power of flowers is amazing and so I keep going 😂😂 Now I think is was probably beautiful and I was being a bit hard on myself. It does take practice and refining. And your video was very helpful so thank you for doing it even if it was in the rain and I appreciate the time factor…! Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
Just found your channel today, and have ahead subbed after watching the first video. I like your vibe! I grow close to 200 dahlias, and absolutely love them. I really like your low arrangement with your dahlias too. Looking forward to watching more
I condition and I recommend to always condition, although some like sedum don’t need it at this stage in the season. Some, like the nasturtiums, definitely need it. I merely didn’t mention that process in this video. 😄
Thanks Shelley! The nasturtium blooms don’t last a super long time, fine for event work or to be enjoyed in your home; but I would not use them for everyday florals 😄
Also the Sedum you used, we call it here in Australia, Sedum Desert Black. I don’t know the botanical name, sorry.
Thank you! I will pin your comment, I tried to look up the sedum with image search and there were SO many different ones, I gave up 🤣
Thanks for including the specific varieties - so helpful. Your arrangement is just lovely!
Thanks for noticing that extra detail! Glad it’s helpful for ya!
Absolutely gorgeous, a bowl of pure joy on a rainy day ❤
Awe thank you and yes it was! 💖
Love the form and the importance of the leaf textures. Thank you for the explanations.
Glad to help and inspire! 💖💖
Super helpfull! I always thought bowls are rather dificult to work with but you make it look really simple. I`ll try it!!

Very beautiful! Love the colors and the small bits.😊
Thank you! I love small flower bits too 😄
The in curving tip was so striking, an aha moment for me! Thank you for the inspiration
Yay! Those 💡 moments are the best 😜💖

Fabulous, I absolutely love all of the textures!!
I’m a sucker for fall textures 💖💖💖
Loved your video! Excellent instruction and information!! Thank you- I know it must have taken so much time to label each plant for us ❤

Very informative. Can’t wait to try it. Thank you
Enjoy! (And I hope it’s not raining for you when you do haha)

So helpful and inspiring! And beautiful! Thank you!!
You’re so welcome. Glad you enjoyed it!
So beautiful and inspiring! Those are great tips! Regarding the sedum...maybe 'Blade Runner'?
Oooh that’s a definite possibility!

Awe thank you Jessica! Glad you found me! That is a lot of dahlias, you’re my kinda flower farmer haha! Hope you get lots of healthy tubers!
@floristsonfarms I've binged watched most of your videos, still have some more to go!
❤❤❤
🤍🤎
Stunning! I am inspired! thank you
Awe thanks Suzanne! Enjoy your own floral adventure!!
Thanks!
Thanks so much Wanda!
Wow that’s beautiful. Super interesting. How long will the flowers last? Will you pull out say, the dahlias as they fade?
Cut flowers all have their own lifetime! The dahlias will probably outlast some of the other things 😄
Love your channel! I just discovered it recently. May I ask where you buy all your various flower seeds from?
Welcome! Glad you’re here! I have sourced seed from local gardeners, William Dam Seeds, Incredible Seeds, West Coast Seeds…
Can we grow Dahlia is southern California
I believe so! Try finding a local dahlia society for growing info specific to your area 😄
How come you don’t condition any of your ingredients? Many of these without conditioning droop almost immediately for me.

@@floristsonfarms :) thanks! I've used the wonderful vines, but take off the blooms
