Got to meet you after the race & took a pic and you signed my shirt- told you to keep digging and you said we absolutely will. You got this man! Keep on digging
You have a great dad he makes it happen no matter what
These are the times that make what you're chasing, so hard to accomplish. Most quit when times seem overwhelming, but those who keep showing up and keep pushing forward rise to the top eventually.
A good heads-up decision to bring it in instead of staying out and tearing up the car. Live to fight a different day.
Glad I finally had the chance to meet you and the crew. Thank you and Carly for signing the Carly shirt for me.
good on you carly!
Tanner and crew a huge thumbs up for the effort getting a new car ready for another race. Great decision made to call the evening. I have been involved in driving and race prep and lessons are learned.
Your fan from grants pass 👍
Keep digging man, hold your head up high, you got a lot of key board cowboys that act like they are the number one sprint car driver in the nation but they have never drove one.
Small race crew out on the road exhausted, pushing hard, day after a major crash, at a major race, hectic prep, ALL reasons why little things can get missed, in this case you ruined someone else's Kings Royal as well. Things do happen, but its up to you, as the professional you are, to learn the lessons and put them to good use so it doesn't repeat itself. That I know you can do, and we're all behind you. Criticism is warranted, you screwed up, but that's a part of the process, don't be afraid of it, use it and move forward with a checklist, something (or add something to the existing one :) ). Keep diggin brother! 😁
Tanner, appreciate your content. Would love an end of year financial recap if you’re willing to share. Would love insight into the economics of racing
No matter what anybody says I know that you have what it takes, hang in there Tanner you have it‼️👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
When it rains, it pours. Hopefully your luck will turn around soon. You stay safe out there.
Hey tanner! Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy life to give us your perspective. I got to see you this particular weekend at eldora. It was my first time experiencing sprint cars at eldora. WOW! I’m hooked! And ready to commit. Coming from the asphalt world out west and a few years experience working on race cars I was curious what your advice on how to approach working on race cars? I asked quite a few people on this weekend and majority of what I collected was it is all in who you know. Given I don’t know anyone on this side of the Mississippi what are some ways I could get involved? I am currently packing my things up in Ohio and moving to the Charlotte area to pursue my dream, to hopefully show my self and others I would be an asset to a team.
Thanks in advance and best of luck this year!
Man, my brother was there. Being an Ohio Native and big dirt car track family, we grew up going to the Big E to watch the Kings Royal. I had my brother stop by your cart to pick up some merch (since I'm in FL now). Shake it off, I want to see that 18T start to press for that top 10 WoO show spots! You are a good driver and being aggressive is gonna sometimes land you in the turn upside down...but when running with those Outlaws...you gotta be gutsy! Keep it up Tanner and hope to see some good finishes in 2024!
Need to ziptie the wing slider lines to the roll cage
Keep crankin tanner you cant have all good nights ,, nobody does,, thats racing dont listen to the bs your doing fine that was a serious job gettong the spare car all put together but nothing is imposible with carly on your team!!
Good words tanner sleep and live it stay at it keep pushing keep thinking better just that little bit here or there
I was sitting in turn 4 is was fun to watch you race.
Lesson learned. The backup car needs to be completely tested and functional with the baseline setup in it before you pack it up into the rafters. Sucks to hurt equipment but it's part of the learning process when you travel and race. Keep chugging along!
That was a tough weekend, was there Fri & Sat. Keep your head up Tanner. Hope you can make it back to the Big E again. I want a Crew Chief Carly shirt autographed. PS, quit bending race cars, Carly was working herself to death.
You should go to the iron man in Pevely next year
I'm really shocked at the number of nasty comments in the string. I usually don't see that underneath Tanner's videos. Keep going, Tanner, you're doing a fine job.
I noticed that too. Trolls and bots. Let em hate, report em, block em and ignore em. Lots of jealous and bored people in the world.
Hes not good! Hes ruined 4 cars in 2 days and 2 of those were his, absolutely horrible, he should not be racing 410s
@@maverickedmondson5229 why don't you try and race a 410
@@NaraXGT I wouldnt without experience thats the point!!
@@maverickedmondson5229it’s called racing and wrecks happen quite often and sometimes it happens more often than not. He owned up to and took responsibility of the last crash and things like that happen. He is just trying to do his best just like all amazing drivers out there, they all had bad years and learning is part of the process of becoming great.
I’m just wondering if it’s the chassis flexing too much, or too much high speed rebounding in the front shocks. I feel like if you could have had that front end more planted through 3 and 4 it would have sped you up a ton. I think you should keep trying some front suspension, and maybe get a frame jig and experiment on stiffening up a chassis in the off season. Just my .02c( just a fan, not a driver) I think you were driving great and had good power. Just seemed like to me the suspension wasn’t keeping up with you.
I see alot of "ill report this" like if someone says something you dont like or disgree with fine. Theh have just as much right to criticize and dislike as you do to like and praise. One thing for certain is yes men will get you no where criticism is a good thing. If you do t like a comment move on, i promise you Tanner is gonna do just that. Keep plugging my man keep working. The reat of yall of you do t like the comments then stay out of the comments
I agree and if they don't want criticism they should not post anything
You can tell the folks who as kids were the "Umm I'm telling my mom on you" types; even if it was only over saying a rude word.
The best motorsport Channel on the internet. Period.
I don't know about the nasty comments about Tanner, but his safety and others have been talked about with the fuel cell ruptures.I think there were four at Eldora, and one became separated from a car and the week before there was a couple punctures. This same fuel cell technology has been around forty years, same cells, and same bumper. You do not see ruptures in indycar today they are designed and built different yes but you still can have Kevlar tank and double lined fuel cells, and the rear bumper just collapses when back it into the wall. We have a Hans have Butler seats, and we have some of the best helmets in the business. But from what I have heard is that fuel cells are never SFI certified why. Because maybe you have an aluminum cell, plastic cell, I don't know, but a guy has been burned this week from a fuel leak. I don't know if it was a crash or what
But it has to be addressed before before the end of the season.
A full fuel bladder doesn't rupture and the full doesn't compress. If you back it into a wall early in a race there's a good chance the cell will get crushed and the pressure blows the fuel lines out and that is what causes the fires. Maybe there should be a mandatory empty air space to give the pressure somewhere to go.
@abpob6052
It just depends on the lengths of the race, but a fuel bladder, empty or full, will rupture. I'm just trying to say that they can possibly make the bladder or the tank better, maybe carbon fiber tank or the bladder built with carbon fiber weaving. And maybe the bumper should have a bar underneath going to a spud welded to the frame. I do know some pavement sprints run them. Just thinking maybe Kevlar lined lined tank. Something better than catching on fire. Just thinking.
Hey give ching lee a break he was having a off day when he welded that rear clip on because his older brothers 11th birthday party ran past his bed time and he didn’t get a full nights sleep (triple x chassis are built in china as cheaply as possible). But kidding aside in a big wreck the best place for the fuel cell to be is as far away from the driver as possible
11:39 Tanner...I know you have heard this before, but it needs repeating....If racing in general and Sprint cars in particular was Easy....all the negative Karens that have posted in this thread would be on the track showing how talented and marketable they are. NOT!!
Stay the course Tanner, you've got this even, though recently its been a struggle. Thanks to Carly your Dad and those close around you who understand the struggle. 🏁🏁🏁🏁 are coming - soon!!
I was there when it happened
Keep your heads up tanner. Tell your sister I said hey
Glad to see your ok, going to make it to Husets this year?
Are you coming back for the world 100???
I love Eldora, hoping to make the Kings Royal weekend next year. Can anyone offer info on where fans stay? I know there's campgrounds but I'd be flying to Ohio. Hotels close?
Hotels are usually booked about 45 minutes to an hour in every direction from eldora.
@@peterdagon5530there's hotels East of eldora you can Google it to get #
@@AEyerly i don’t need to book a hotel, I’m not the one going
👍
Do you have a 410 Sprint there @matableman ???
Adrenaline Rush...
It really sucks that I don't have you're schedule. Could have got over there in 3 hours.but guess you can't give that information out ???
Well if you followed his youtube channel you'd when and where he's racing. He's always going through where he's racing next
It's also on his website I believe
🤪
Rough weekend. Prolly didn’t make many friends.
Im all for creative thumbnails to get views, but this one gives off the impression that the car cost $175k. TH-cam racers are already cagey and sercretive about payouts and costs of participation, but to give that impression muddying the waters even more isnt a great vibe. Love the videos as always
Take the wrecked car home and they can put a clip on it
A triple x that wrecked at eldora (or any for that matter)ain’t worth clipping
Time for a checklist when building up the spare car at the track if you guys don't have one, or one not detailed enough. Not checking the steering lock could have ended up much worse than it did.
Kinda what happens when the entire crew and the driver have no clue what they’re doing
you cant win with your rig...
What's that mean?
You are a COMPLETE WASTE of OXYGEN! @matableman.
Reported.
What a prick comment! What do you know about running a sprint car yet alone driving one.
@trickster6831 why? It's his opinion, don't report it just because you don't like it. I don't agree with it either but it's their right to believe it and say it.
You are best to go back out home and stay a top 15 car. It's embarrassing, the money you're throwing away. Great equipment, under qualified. Stay in your own backyard and stop messing up the big boy racing. Learn more, then try. So dumb to waste money, sponsors will not help for long the way you jerk around. 😢
How do you expect to get better if u don't race faster people.
Take your own advice and move along....
How are you supposed to learn how to run at eldora without running there? West coast tracks are so different than tracks back east. Only way to do it is to get out there. Just like fishing. Only thing that makes you better is time on the water.
Tough break Tanner. Keep on it man. Most people don’t give it their all when chasing a dream, they just give it as much effort as they think it should take and then quit. Then walk around and tell everyone that they gave it their all. But did they really?? Nope. I bet anyone on this thread being negative has never chased a dream in their life. Good news is the bad luck is out of the way. Hope you guys make the most of the rest of your trip. Tomorrow is a new day, keep on it brother. Much love to you and your family and crew from Hanford.
F this guy how do u think all those other drivers got there u think they got the track and was fast asap David gravel once stalled on terra hout cuz he was blowing up and was Yung didnt pull off and a driver hit him and he was paralyzed and look at gravel now your a d bag
Sell all that bullshit start fishing
Is that what you did johnboy ???
