No offence, Neceros, but this is just a horrible place.

I was asked by Neceros to give this map a try and after playing two other maps of his, this one doesn't disappoint.
This is the raw footage originally meant only to be viewed by Neceros so he could watch my progress to see if he wanted to make any changes to the map and just to see how someone attacks the map. But to be honest, the map does most of the attacking.
But, we thought others might like to see this adventure, too. So here it is - enjoy!

I find it interesting that literally nobody I've seen play this map has touched those ore planets (Aside from a little redstone, or tiny exploring)

FINAL DEATH(s)
Okay I didn't... I didn't expect the dragon to come find you. In my tests she stayed at home until I approached.
Survivor, not chicken. Sometimes you are a super survivor though, I admit. 😁
Being as the dragon attacked you, I cannot blame you for trying to fight her before exploring.
There is a button to go back, but you have to find it. It's hiding in plain sight... kinda.

Sure - you forget we can't sleep. Well, no matter - I just won't make that mistake again.
I think people probably stay away from the ore planets is because we have way more ores that we need so there is really no need.
However, now that I think of it, the redstone did have a sponge in the middle of it. So, of course I'll have to check the others.
Well, that and the ghasts make it a risky venture. Still, when I return I'll investigate them all. I know I won't want the series to end after this dungeon, so it'll be a way to extend the game.
My thinking at this point is the dragon has to go first. She's going to be a constant pain in my side, or from above, I guess - so she's got to go first.
When editing the episode, it amazed me I didn't die trying to escape the spawn-in platform. I thought I was falling and for the life of me I don't know how I recovered. I know 'fall' is the first part of flying so once I was doing that all I had to do was jump. But for the life of me I have no idea what my fingers were doing. I think I was scrambling in panic and sheer terror.

Alrighty then, here's are some thoughts I've had since playing.
I'm going to focus on the dragon, so I'm thinking of building up from one of the taller towers and rain arrows down on the dragon below. She doesn't seem to be bothering me in the villager building and I don't know why. She comes close sometimes but has never come in.
Those damn fireballs of hers are a real pain.
After she's gone, I'll get rid of any ghasts spawners I find on the side of the towers. I know there's one, so I'm pretty sure there are others.
I want to use the obsidian towers as my bases. I'll clear a floor and connect them with bridges. They seem to be centrally located on the island so I'll be able to get around quickly and safely. I'm not going all the way to the top to make my bases, I'll just go up a dozen rows or so.
Up and away from any skeletons.
And I'm sure you have a wither in there somewhere and my presence will trigger. Not looking forward to that, but it will be always on my mind.
Then the plan is to take out those skeleton spawners.
Those might be hard to get to because they seem to be at ground level and with the trees above, they might be hard to see.
But, I have a plan. And you know I really hate destroying the landscape more than I have to, but some strategically placed buckets of lave could make short work of the trees and create clearings.
I know lava could possible destroy useful things, so I will be careful where I place them.
I may try and keep a creeper spawner, or two if I can find them close together. Mining creepers for gunpowder, and then growing sugar cane for paper, will keep me in a supply of rockets.
I don't know if I need rockets, but if I do, I'd like to have them.
And while on the subject of rockets, I think I'm going to spent a few days perfecting my flying - or at least practicing so I can get off the ground when I need to. I see guys just run and fly all the time. I can't seem to get my fingers to work on this.
So it may be a few days before my next episode, but I will be working on it.
And, of course, any of these plans could change at any time depending on what happens as I go along.

I don't think there's much you can do to stop the dragon from destroying parts of the island, so it's not a big deal if things happen, like the exploding bed. I know you'll rebuild it when you have the time. 🙂You could use endstone to build safe paths and tunnels. But I'm sure you can and will do it your way. And I'm really looking forward to it and can't wait for the next episode!

Falling off that island was definitely a panic situation and I think it was more luck that I was able to get airborne.
This is a pretty scary place, with all those spawners everywhere. I think the worse is not knowing what to expect - like the exploding bed.
