In our NSA training course at www.notary2notary.com, we have all loan type packages for you to review and study to get more comfortable completing loan closings.
So we do not explain the docs but if they have questions they I do answer some. So we can answer the what questions but not the why questions. Most signers do already have the main idea of what they are signing before you arrive.
No, sorry we are based out of Virginia, but we do offer 1 on 1 coaching and we do our sessions through Zoom! We can help you too. Head on over to www.Notary2Notary.com and let us get you to where you want to be!
Thanks Vanessa! So on this example, you didn't do much explaining of the documents to the signer. Is this typical for a Reverse Mortgage, or is this pretty much how you go about every loan closing? Thank you so much!
This was an example of how I do the closings. If they ask questions, I will tell them the "what", what the document is, and explain to them I can not tell them the "why".
@@Notary2NotaryUSA Awesome. I only ask because I come from the LSS program, and Mark teaches the point and sign technique, where you point out pertinent information. Whereas you show that you just state the document and show them were to sign, which seems to go much smoother and faster. I'm very interested to see how you would go about having a borrower fill out forms, such as PCOR and Certification of Trust. Being that you have a fast presentation of the document, I'd love to see your style of walking through the instructions to the borrower so it doesn't take so long for them to understand the form. Do you have videos like this? Thanks for the great content. I'm learning a ton from you :)
This is referred as a “point and sign” signing. The notary doesn’t have an understanding of the documents at all. The notary is only reading off the name of the document. Not preferred by most professionals. The video is not educational at all.
@@jds0084 this video is very helpful. I have never done one and it shows the general of idea of how this should go. If you didn’t find it helpful that’s you. I found it to be very helpful. I’m not as apprehensive about doing it now.
It’s very educational because it give the general idea of how this should go. It’s not our job to explain. You are supposed to read the name of the document off and if they have questions then they are to contact the lender. I’ve never done one. I’m new. But this helped me a lot. Speak for yourself. It helped me be a little more confident in doing one
Thank you so much vanessa..you are amazing..thank you to your signer he did great..we appreciate him❤❤❤💓😄😄😍
You are so welcome!
Thanks you made the reverse mortgage easier then it looks
Your welcome!
Where can I get a reverse mortgage package ma’am
In our NSA training course at www.notary2notary.com, we have all loan type packages for you to review and study to get more comfortable completing loan closings.
So you don't explain any of the docs? How often are the signers ok with signing all these papers they've never seen and don't know what they say?

@@Notary2NotaryUSA So you just say sign and date such and such page. Review and keep it moving correct?
@@Jujukinksncurls Essentially that is basically it.
I was thinking the same thing. She did not explain or even provide a brief description of any of the docs.
Brief description of the document
If there is no Notary verbiage on a reverse mortgage, where should we stamp or should we attach a document pertinent to our state and stamp that?
Always sign/stamp exactly where it is asking you to!
Now, I see what I am doing that takes me 2 hours at my refinance. I will do exactly this from now on, say name of document and where to sign.
You got this!
I dont know what state that you are in, but in CA we are not allowed to photograph someone's ID
Im in VA, but yes always follow your specific state handbook. Some states do have additional rules that you will need to follow.
I know I’m in PA. And we are allowed if they don’t have a copy of their ID already. We are supposed to ask them to make a copy before we get there.
Where can I receive copy’s of the forms you were going through. I’d like to follow along page by page and make notes.
In our notary signing agent course at www.notary2notary.com !
Happy Signing!
Are reverse mortgages the only "signing" we don't personally sign anything and stamp?
You still notarize documents in a reverse mortgage. This particular lender just did not have many requiring notarization.
Great info and nicely down video, thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!!
Thanks Vanessa
Your welcome :)
Will I be the one who's prints off the papers for signing
Yes the NSA will usually print the closing package.
Great video. I’ve never done a Reverse Mortgage Signing. 🤷🏼♂️
You can do it!
Very helpful thank you. Are you located in FL? Looking for a mentor, just got into this business and would love some guidance.

Do you always give a copy inside a Manila folder?
Yes for the borrowers copy but it is my personal preference to do this.
Good morning Vanessa
Great morning!!!

We tried to do a simple signing for beginning learners. We go into more detail in our course. Thanks for watching.
You are able to show them their numbers and how much money they are getting if they chose to get money at closing
Exactly. I did not get the point of this video at all. A child can point and say sign.
