A 100m and 200m sprinter was tested positive on banned drug in March 2024. However, he was cleared by USADA on grounds of food contamination to compete in the Paris Olympics. Yet no media outlets talk about him. FBI has not investigated him. No fellow athletes complain about him. The 23 Chinese swimmers were cleared by WADA, World Aquatics, IOC/Olympic Authority as well as by domestic sports authorities in China to compete in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and international races thereafter. Since the food contamination incident (noting urine samples collected in early January 2021, six months before the Summer Olympic in Tokyo), these Chinese swimmers were not tested positive - before, during and after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. Even being subjected to extreme drug testing - 7-10 more than their counterparts in other countries - in the Paris Olympics, these Chinese Olympic swimming contestants have not shown any positive tests to date. And they have won swimming medals despite enormous physical and psychological pressure stemming from these unfriendly drug tests and public pressure.

Have you seen his latest inverview where he explained how he practiced hard to control his record at the WC to 46.80? He said he wanted his opponent to think that 46.80 was his limit so they would train for the olympics using this as target, while he new he could swim much faster! So Smart!

@@hqs9585 Actually, that's the narrative that certain medias are pushing. If people do just a little research, they would find the opposite unless they are in denial. There are reports/stories that for some reason, almost the whole entire USA swim team has asthma making their asthma medication exempt. Food for thought.
Great technique and great disciplines to synchronize his powerful kick and the 'glide'. Compared to the other swimmer he 'glides' with stretched arm like a glider plane as he kicks forward. Very efficient combination of legs and arms movement. Amazing.

Look at Lance Armstrong and Marion Jones, they didn't get caught for years. Just like the others.
Pan is a 100 free natural. What supreme techniques he's been exhibiting in the swim. If he couldn't win in Paris, others in the field must have doped, esp. those beefy guys......
All these innuendos about his honesty as a competitor. If all is proven that he is, we can appreciate that Pan is a swimming phenomenon of this era. If anyone can appreciate swimming strokes, you will realize that his is very efficient and hence effective.
Some of the worst racist and biased comments seem to come from the female gender - which shocks me as I have always thought that they would be fairer in judging others. This is what I find even more bothering.
Yet American, Australian and French athletes who make up 63% of all of WADA TUE's can freely take tons of medication for Asthma, ADHD and many "supposed" medical conditions are never questioned for doping whenever they break world records. Folks like Kyle Sockwell need to apologize for their initial reactions questioning the legitimacy of Pan's world record performance. Period.
One of the things about the gallop style of freestyle is the uneven cadence of the arm stroke. The breathing side arm stays extended just a bit for a slight pause, then when you start the pull, the recover arm is a quick pull. This results in the undulation that adds to the 'drive' forward and you are actually submerged a bit which reduces the drag, part from surface tension and part from reducing the bow wave. All of the male swimmers do this. Katie Ledecky and Summer Macintosh both swim this way. Ariarne Titmus swims an even cadence and breathes on a 2, 2, 3 or 4 beat arm stroke count. To date, no one has done an in depth study/explanation of the gallop style of freestyle.
Thank you, @Fares, because i believe that this video of yours… you’ve explained how Pan was able to swim so fast even though some others had said that his fast was “humanly impossible”, notwithstanding that Pan was already the WR holder prior to Paris 2024!
Pan broke the record and by doing so also exposed a lot of bigotry & prejudice trying to paint a picture about doping which only revealed the following interesting facts. 1) USA athletes have been caught 6x more than Chinese in doping. 2) Chinese swimmers were tested an average of 7 times a day in Paris on arrival, including random tests midnight to 2am which completely disrupted their sleep. Imagine how hard it is for Pan to swim having needle stuck into his arms that many times for blood draws. 3) Over half of US swimmers, including all the Paris gold medal winners are conveniently diagnosed as ASTHMATICS. Which allows for them to legally use bronchodilators which is a stimulant and gives significant advantage in how much air you can breathe in and out. Think trying to breath through a thin straw vs a fat one. 4) The supposed scandal from 2021 where some Chinese swimmers tested positive for a banned heart medicine was cleared by two separate independent investigation. Tests only showed microscopic traces of the medicine. Consistent with food contamination.
if Su BingTian can have the fastest 60M in any human history in 2021 Tokyo Olympics why can’t Pan do a fast swim without accusing him doping by many people without proof
You need to zoom in and show it in slow motion, side by side, what he’s doing differently versus his oppenents. All these techiques are not that easy to grasp.
My thoughts, as well. I love and I'm seeking out as many videos that analyze his technique. As a complete dead weight in the water, my layman eyes can still notice how smooth he was traveling in a straight-arrow line. Meanwhile my untrained eye can also detect the choppy progression of several swimmers beside him. I'm seeking out as many videos that analyze his technique for expertise insights but I suppose with NBC's strict protection of its copyrights over full footage of his full performance (don't know how Fares was able to scrape enough scenes, as another youtuber mentioned NBC shut down his video and a few others are tapping into his swim from Doha instead), we're not getting the best frame-by-frame (yes slow motion would help for us noobs) or full coverage from start to finish in a continuous coverage. (Hope when Peacock pulls all the Olympics videos off its site, NBC might treat its youtube videos for public domain use). Would love an analysis of a side-by-side with David Povicic, who appears to be his closest competitor. I've read comments the two are also quite similar in technique (I personally don't know).
I noticed two other key aspects, Fares:. at 1:42, his right leg seems to be hyperextended on his kick? Also, I noticed how quickly his arms recover quite low over the water, allowing a minimal time to begin the next stroke.

I realized that as well, he was like sliding through water, his stroke was slower but he keepts moving, then I started looking at his feet how he paddle
Who invented the pulse stroke technique in your opinion? Popovici also had a pulse swim where it’s two strokes and glide. What is the difference in number of breaths taken between Pan and Popovici? Why has no one broken down oxygen strategy between the different top level sprint freestylers? How does Pan manage to get his skull out ahead of all other swimmers in every race? after he rises he might not be first all the time but he is almost always got a full head of length ahead of everyone in the first fraction of a second after the gun, as if he is first to hear the gun or else he is doing some insane neck-speed drills. Thanks for pointing out his extended glide on his breathing arm (i think he’s goofy foot) it really is prominent. he definitely gears up and pulses into it while his kick seems a constant motor-boat.
Just see this video analysis. I noticed that in the Pairs Olympic 4X100m final, Pan's strokes generated significantly less splash around his head and shoulder compared to the US and France swimmers.

When you convert to 100m you can see that Marchand if he focused on 100m freestyle would be anywhere between 44.44 seconds (linear speed decay) and 46,51 (exponential speed decay). Evne with the 4% speed decay for short pools. And it is not even his main focus.
If im not mistaken he also broke the record again in the 4*100 mix relay? he went by 45.96... Its insane
Does not count officially but was hella fast ya!
It is his technique that won the race. Especially his lower body that almost kept unflipped, stable as real fish, so that reducing water resistance to him, and made up the speed. Comparing with him, the others flipped their low body with wide angle when using strength.
Yes! he just won Paris Olympic 100m S again with new world record!
历上第一位亚洲百米自由游奥运冠军及世界纪录保持者!
Pan became Asia's first Olympic men's 100-freestyle champion since Japan's Yasuji Miyazaki at the 1932 Los Angeles Games.
He does it again!

Have you seen his latest inverview where he explained how he practiced hard to control his record at the WC to 46.80? He said he wanted his opponent to think that 46.80 was his limit so they would train for the olympics using this as target, while he new he could swim much faster! So Smart!
This guy is phenomenal.
beat a group of asthma patients is not a big deal? can Pan compete with normal atheletes in the pool? why don't US and Australia send normal athletes to Olympic game, rather than a group of asthma patients? it's totally unhumane to send patients to the olympic game!
They have been doping for decades under the guise of asthma medication. Worked very well for them for years. Why change the plan?
What is asthma medication do?
@@roy_yyyy normal athletes are druggies even more and most of them are drag queens now.

The HUMAN RACE should be amazed at this, why the hate and jealousy, we are human afterall
Americans are not
Human race is filled with a bunch of haters. No competitors like to lose or get their record broken, but if records isn't broken, how do we, as a species, advance? USA held the 4x100 streak since the event started. Can't say I'm surprise by the uptick of haters. To be honest, I would like to keep seeing the beauty of records being broken.
Because the history of chinese and Russian cha\eating so many times in sports. He was likely doping.
@@hqs9585 🤡👈🤣
@@hqs9585 Actually, that's the narrative that certain medias are pushing. If people do just a little research, they would find the opposite unless they are in denial. If we talk about confirmed case where the mdeal were stripped, Russia is up there at No 1(by far), while USA is at No 4 with 10 medals and China being No 7 with 4 medals. If we include all sports, not just olympic events, well....MLB would make everyone look like baby talk. So the argument of China having a history of doping while conveniently leaving out USA is laughable. If we are talking about accused, that can go all over the place. There are reports/stories that for some reason, almost the whole entire USA swim team has asthma making their asthma medication exempt. Food for thought.
No secret, just hard work. The skepticism and condescension of westerners have only fueled his determination to succeed.
Thanks for the video analysis. They are always instructive.
Cool, Pan Zhanle❤! Keep it up. Unbiased commentary Fares Ksebati, applaud!
Good win for Pan.
Great technique and great disciplines to synchronize his powerful kick and the 'glide'. Compared to the other swimmer he 'glides' with stretched arm like a glider plane as he kicks forward. Very efficient combination of legs and arms movement. Amazing.
Some just can't concede that Chinese athletes are winning
Some Chinese just can’t concede the number of massive performance enhancing drug scandals and the scale of them over and over and over again. But congrats because you are second to only Russian but ahead of East Germany in this regard.
US is lier .In fact, most of the world's stimulants are researched and produced by Americans.
@@rogerc23 Western countries interpret doping as an individual doing it. When it's done by the Chinese, they say it's done by a group. They don't believe that the Chinese are some kind of individual people. The biggest dopers in history are the Americans. They're just very good at not getting caught. Look at Lance Armstrong and Marion Jones, they didn't get caught for years. Just like the others.
@@rogerc23pls prove ur argument. Chinese team had most doping test in Paris, 10 people had 200 test and ZERO positive.

All these innuendos about his honesty as a competitor. If all is proven that he is, we can appreciate that Pan is a swimming phenomenon of this era. If anyone can appreciate swimming strokes, you will realize that his is very efficient and hence effective.
Fares, please do a comparative analysis between Popovic, the previous “best technique” swimmer and Pan. Thanks.
I'm really bothered by the blatant racism against him and the other Chinese swimmers.
Some of the worst racist and biased comments seem to come from the female gender - which shocks me as I have always thought that they would be fairer in judging others. This is what I find even more bothering.
So am I, it’s pure jealousy!
Great analysis, thank you so much!!🙏🏽
PAN IS THE MAIN CHARACTOR OF THIS GAME.
the main enemy,,,and also by definition he must have cheated as he is not white...
he just did
Great break down. Cheers
He did a 45.92 split on the 4x 100m medley relay. Crazy shit.
To date, no one has done an in depth study/explanation of the gallop style of freestyle.
love to learn more about it!!!
Thank you, @Fares, because i believe that this video of yours… you’ve explained how Pan was able to swim so fast even though some others had said that his fast was “humanly impossible”, notwithstanding that Pan was already the WR holder prior to Paris 2024!
You know, they also said a lot of stuff against the late Bruce Lee too, you know.
Great video and analysis 👍🏻 👌🏻 👏
Thanks for watching :)
Perfect technique.
Who is after WR in Paris Olympics
Great observation and analysis!
3:25- Look at those beautiful powerful kicks really like a mechine 😱👍
No worries bro….
We outside of the racist 🇺🇸 nations😂😂 know exactly how far USA 🇺🇸 sportsman have fallen behind 🎉🎉🎉
Good analysis. And Fares is right, Pan did win gold in the Olympics
Congrats Pan!
The kid's form is perfect.
if Su BingTian can have the fastest 60M in any human history in 2021 Tokyo Olympics why can’t Pan do a fast swim without accusing him doping by many people without proof
Cuz he isn't repping the USA or AUS. He's repping CHN
and unlike American swimmers, Pen doesnt turn purple after swimming.
Does anyone know Brett Hawke? Send him this video. That guy calls himself an expert and doesn't believe a non-white can swim this fast!
This video deserves more thumb-ups.
Thank you for your insightful analysis!
Great analysis
I noticed two other key aspects, Fares:. at 1:42, his right leg seems to be hyperextended on his kick? Also, I noticed how quickly his arms recover quite low over the water, allowing a minimal time to begin the next stroke.
Americans who can see Pan Zhanle's swimming news and follow Pan Zhanle's swimming news are lucky Americans. I noticed that the major media in the United States did not report Pan Zhanle’s swimming news. When I see your Western comments on Pan Zhanle’s swimming news here, I think you are a group of sober-minded Westerners, which shows that there is still hope for the Western world. Both China and the Western world are blocked from news by capital-controlled media. To the honest, kind and brave people all over the world, we are a front, fighting against the forces of evil together.
He's simply a born genius that surpasses anyone's talent, one may just envy but cannot learn; and of course plus training/hard work as any swimming athlete does.
Before Duplantis appeared, who believed that pole vaulting could reach 6.25M?
Top shelf athlete, second to none. Also good 100 Metre runner.
Pan has long arms and a phenomenal kick. That's his trick.
Not an expert at swimming by any stretch but Pan's arm strokes dont splash the water as much as compared to the other swimmers besides him.
No - his arm strokes look as though he is actually grabbing whole handfuls of water in front of him to pull his body forward.
there is an interview where he mentioned he created s smokescreen to make his enemies think he could only do 46.8 at best . so that they focus on that timing .
I only smell sour grapes after Pan won the gold medal
I realized that as well, he was like sliding through water, his stroke was slower but he keepts moving, then I started looking at his feet how he paddle
His strokes look as though he is grabbing a whole handful of water in front of him to pull his body forward.

Thank You!!!
Go China show the world how good Pan is ....the best of the champions ...
What an analysis of Pan’s swimming technic.
His secret is GRIT. His secret is his competitors’ nasty behaviors. He unleashed the beast in him after being disrespected by CHALMERS.
Congratulations on Pan success. His success because of his hardship training.
I think this might help me against Hobson West.
Yap, US and Australian swimmers are beatable! Thank you Pan for showing the way.
He actually beat all those other swimmers who are doping with their purple faces using asthma drugs. lol
Total Immersion + turbo kick.
DUCK! I can't believe that he did it in 45s.
Just see this video analysis. I noticed that in the Pairs Olympic 4X100m final, Pan's strokes generated significantly less splash around his head and shoulder compared to the US and France swimmers.
