Really appreciate your work. I've been a hobbyist but after watching you i'm inspired to build devices and start to distribute it to my friends and eventually make a business out of it.
Thank you you are most welcomed, I wish you the best in your endeavor. All the code is CC, so you are most welcomed to use it. Also have a look at the latest videos where I modularize the code to make it even easier to reuse. I will be posting new tutorials from the end of the month again. Should you feel inclined to help the channel, there are links available in the description.
I agree with the others. Great content and tutorial. I was struggling with the volume of information on ESPHome and the lack of tutorials beyond simple setups. Thanks for your efforts.
A great series of videos, well done! I watched you set out everything using a breadboard: what might be useful is to see how you would connect things more permanently. I'm struggling with soldering at the moment and tend to favor "neater" looking solutions, but I'm also trying out some cases for my ESP32s as well.
Thank you, Phil, your kind comment means a lot. My reply to you became so long in a good way, I will rather make a video about it as well as the future or the channel as it stands, so look out for it. Please keep your suggestions coming they are pivotal for the future of this channel. -- Pascal
hello. I would like to make a suggestion. Add a ws2812b LED strip that changes color depending on pollution with five or six LEDs. Depending on the pollution, more LEDs would light up and change the color from green to a dark red. that way you could know the level of contamination just by looking at the sensor without having to look at the phone
That could be added indeed, an automation that sends a message to your phone or smart speakers could also work or adding a screen to the sensor as mine works. But I am wary of putting too much information in one video, to keep it shorter and more digestible. Baby steps, if you get what I am doing. But thank you, I’ll definitely keep it in mind. Please, keep the suggestions coming
is there a list of devices available to use in Home Assistant? like the DH22 or the BH1750 etc. I've learnt so much from you, on how to use the ESP32 and set it up. And following your examples, helps build confidence to try things out. I'm always keen to watch the next one. Very much appreciated.
Hi Michael, The ESPHome document site landing page is the list you are looking for, I refer back to it often. I am glad I could help, thank you for your kind words.
@@homeautomatorza Thanks. I knew I had seen it somewhere, but searches didn't seem to find it for me. I have hopes to use the SDM220, meter, I see it is not listed, but others are, so will try one of those, and see if I get anything sensible. I can remeber setting the SDM220, on an arduino many years ago, and it was a mission, sorting out modbus, and then doing something with the values. ESPHome, seems to take out a lot of the head ache. Thanks for replies, it can be really annoying when channels ask for questions and input and then it's ignored, but I understand as the channels grow, it could be overwhelming.
Thank you, you are right I will eventualy need to change the way I reply but for right now, this is it. I am working on getting a Discord channel up and running but I hit a couple of snags. Lastly, I am working on a Q&A video right now, and your question features in it ;)

As usual great Video Pascal.
Thanks Miguel, the next one you’ll like I think. It’s a weekend project.
Pascal, Another great video, sir. Thank you for the clear explanations and guidance.

Can you make a video on voice recognition that runs locally on esp32?
In time for sure
Please, no eCO₂, they're super inaccurate.
What would be really cool tho, is the Sensirion SEN66, which should be released soon.
We will see
