Because the game was meant to handle one final smash at a time. Having two different final smashes makes it so that the last person to get the smash ball gets the effect, and therefore causes that the graphics not to show up for the earlier person. This causes some character's final smashes to freeze the game.
It's hilarious how captain falcon looked like he was getting his own cool entrance, but it was just for somebody else, and then Falcon is slid in at the end like an afterthought.
I didn't even realize the guy who makes all these amusing FE;A videos happens to be the guy who made the first youtube videos I ever watched about how to dodge final smashes.

... that's Ice Climber's up b at 4:49. Unless you mean the "Grab, throw forward, Nana forward air" at 4:54. Press the jump button to make Nana jump while Popo is grabbing someone. Tilt forward and press A to forward Air with Nana just as soon as Popo throws them forward because of tilting the control stick.

I would be a fool to make such an intensely false statement. I would be immediately vaporized from the sheer manliness, as any false facts about the Great Captain Falcon is enforced by the very air we breathe.
Because if you read the description or that annotation when Lucas's was shown with Jigglypuff, you would see that I said "one of their starstorm sets won't show up".
@agubokwu Yoshi vs. Diddy is actually doable. Marth vs. Zelda would have a possibility of freezing. Doesn't matter since they won't hit each other. Unless there are other players. If that's what you meant, Marth and Zelda's WILL cause a freeze. Yoshi's and Diddy combo is actually practical.
