    This clip doesn't mention that when China retaliated against Trump's tariffs by buying soybeans from Brazil instead of the USA, USA soybean farmers were devastated by the loss of Chinese business and Trump gave USA soybean farmers huge subsidies to make up for their losses.

    In the Chinese market, American companies, especially high-tech enterprises, make the most profits. Whether it’s brands like Apple or Starbucks, they earn enormous profits in China. For example, the iPhone is sold globally, with components sourced worldwide and assembled in China. However, 90% of the profits go to American companies, particularly in high-margin areas like chip production, while the profit from manufacturing and assembly in China accounts for less than 5%.
    Now, claiming that China’s trade practices are unfair is a blatant lie. Many investors behind Chinese products are actually Western companies, not domestic Chinese enterprises. Using trade as an excuse to suppress China is nothing but a cunning tactic.

      You’re actually asking a very similar question. If Trump is hypocritically exploiting production in China, it’s because it’s way cheaper to do so for profit. Why is it cheaper to produce in China has largely to do with cheaper labor. Why is labor in China cheaper? Because China has lower minimum wages, a large pool of available workers, less stringent labor regulations, and a government policy that often prioritizes economic growth over worker rights (just to name a few). Which American political party is the bigger hypocrite?

      @@TheOne1One1One1One That's because you don't think. Obviously, tariffs increase the cost of goods for consumers of those products as the cost of the tariffs get passed on to the consumers -- as the video said actually happened. Many of those consumers are business owners, corporate executives, and landlords themselves who are greedy and so simply pass-on their increased costs to their own customers and renters in order to compensate for their paying higher prices for the goods they want and need. This eventually results in their workers (aka labor) demanding higher wages themselves to keep-up with higher prices and cost-of-living expenses. In order to meet labor's demand for higher wages, businesses simply raise prices even higher. Therefore, you get INFLATION.

    Didn't watch. I KNOW how the dollars played out in both the US and China during trump's last term. Money left the US and went into China. It shouldn't have happened that way because the US economy was on FIRE when he came into office, as in there was plenty of work and wages were already trending up and inflation wasn't bad.
    FDI is tracked around the world (Foreign Direct Investment). Foreign investment left the US, while it grew to a historic high in China during trump's term and it's very understandable simply listening to trump bash everything, including entire countries and our own allies. A lot of foreign investors pulled their money from the US because of the continual bashing by trump for one, but also the instability that was being created by budget issues and the continual threats of govt. defaulting or bankruptcy. That's a good way to get investors to leave YOUR country which is what happened.

    China is not the problem. Corporations being allowed to move the jobs from the US to China is the problem. US corporations are not penalized for moving the jobs, so more and more of our products are being made by overseas companies. US corporations are not US corporations anymore. They have been allowed to become mostly international, so they divide their spending accordingly. Labor is bought cheaply in a communist country, Profits are managed in a country that the Republicans are trying to make a tax haven. The problem is that they are not sharing the benefits of this wealth with anyone who is not already wealthy.

    • @ericbartol
      @ericbartol หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Corporations being allowed to do this is also a NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE, and we learned this during the pandemic, when N-95 masks were in short supply and not manufactured in any quantity in the US because labor is cheaper when the workers are duly compensated by communists, and the corporations that reap the profits of communism are freed of taxation by the government that allowed those corporations to leave the citizens they were elected to protect jobless and/or underpaid.

      @ericbartol หลายเดือนก่อน

      Corporations now want to pass this assholery on to you via Donnie Trumpie! Trumpie has vowed to equalize through TARRIFFS. The ones who's income is supposed to cover their COST OF LIVING.

    • @ericbartol
      @ericbartol หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yet their battle cry, when you want compensation for the sacrificing of your job security is "SOCIALISM!" when you want a little security in your life. "COMMUNISM!" when you band together and form labor unions to protect what little you have left, and are striving for just wages, benefits, and safe working conditions. Yet they support the elites, which is exactly what this country was fighting when it was founded. True patriots fight elitism.

    Harvard University has reportedly begun limiting the admission of students associated with the tens of thousands of academic programs endorsed by the People's Republic of China (PRC). This measure is being taken as part of broader efforts to protect U.S. national security interests and to safeguard the nation’s commitment to freedom, democratic governance, and the protection of intellectual property rights.
    Officials have expressed concerns that the increasing presence of individuals with pro-Beijing affiliations in critical fields, such as law, could facilitate the erosion of U.S. democratic institutions and the suppression of freedoms essential to American society. These developments mirror the PRC’s actions in Hong Kong, where autonomy and civil liberties were systematically dismantled and replaced with centralized authoritarian control.
    This initiative reflects a strategic imperative to preserve the United States' foundational values of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, which are essential to the stability and prosperity of the nation. By securing academic institutions against foreign influence that seeks to undermine these principles, the U.S. aims to maintain its leadership in the global democratic order and protect the integrity of its educational, legal, and economic systems.
