    The best tutorial i have ever seen on a card game. Insanely well done ! Just ordered my Roselia Deck to start playing. Your series really tipped me off the edge and made me start.

    Got here a little late but you've really helped me understand the game a lot more! I recently got interested because I saw Hololive was getting Weiss Schwarz sets. I initially just wanted to collect the cards but I thought what a waste it would be to not know how to play. Watching many of these guides from you and others have motivated me to play. I've only played pokemon tcg long ago, and not for long nor played by officially rules, so I'm pretty much going in fresh. I noticed that there's a Weiss Schwarz supported card shop nearby so I'll be looking to see what's up. Thanks again for the help!

    Thanks for these videos, I was indeed *that guy* and this series gave me the info I need.
    Shame that the PMMM cards I want to build and play with are so ancient and OOP! xD

    This was a really informative video, thanks! I gotta say though, not being allowed to mix and match different series is really disappointing. Since, with it being a crossover game, I'd love to mix Gurren Lagann with Nanoha or something like that.

    Dang was really hoping I could combine my rent a GF/ adventure time cards. While there is still a game style that does it sounds like the official tournaments use single universes. That’s okay I’ll have 2 decks to choose from. Maybe if you know what kind of deck your opponent uses you can choose the best deck to counter. And build each deck with diff qualities

    I've always thought that cards with the same keyword on the bottom can be played together in the same deck or is that a different format that no one plays?

  • @JoshuaPAMployee

    Easier to understand what cards can mix, each card has letters before their number so HOL-01. It can be played with any cards that follow HOL-XX.

    Can I play a climax without having the color on board??

    • @ThreeSixCancel
      @ThreeSixCancel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      To play a climax, you'll need to have its color in your clock or level zone, but you can play them at any level!

    • @ThreeSixCancel
      @ThreeSixCancel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@OmegaX7XYes, no matter what, you can perform the trigger on a climax when you reveal it as an attack trigger!

    You clearly know more about the game than I do, but from what I can tell, not mixing animes is just one of the 3 possible rule sets? The other two being “anything printed goes” and “don’t mix Weiss and schwarz.”
    At least that’s what I saw on the website. Maybe I’m understanding it wrong?

    • @ThreeSixCancel
      @ThreeSixCancel  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      While their may be alternative formats, I'm unaware of any specific tournaments that run those rulesets. All sanctioned Weiss tournaments that I know of/have attended just run the "don't mix titles" rules set!

      As in many games, there are multiple formats and game modes. What 36C describes is called NeoStandard and the most widely played at stores and at big events. At home or in local groups you may find people playing the other formats but if you are heading out to play with some folks in an established scene it's safe to bet on it being NeoStandard.

    Does level up take priority over deck refresh?

    • @mannoroth0913
      @mannoroth0913 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You get to pick which to choose if for example you clock yourself for 1 when you're at 6 or take one point of damage with your last card. So if there are no climaxes in your clock, you can refresh your deck first before leveling to avoid putting all those cards into your waiting room first.

    Just a quick question. I'm just starting to look into this game and I decided to buy a goblin slayer trial deck and an attack on titan trial deck. Those are on the way in the mail, but I was wondering, are there trial deck exclusive cards, and can you build a deck from just the contents of one 20 pack booster box?
    I was looking at the booster box from an older set thats fairly cheap, but it's trial deck is hard to find and expensive online, more than the booster box itself it seems, so I'm not sure if I can just get the booster box. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm mainly interested in the game for collecting or just casual play.

    • @ThreeSixCancel
      @ThreeSixCancel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! So, if you're looking to build casually from the ground up, a trial deck is one of the best places to start being it comes with multiple copies of important cards, and already has a set deck structure. I'll tell you that buying one or two booster boxes just on their own probably won't build you a deck, as you'll only get a single copy of many of the rares and double rares that you'll want. But if you buy 3/4 and then single out with stuff you'd like to have more of, that's a great way to get into a 'set' overall. Trial decks, while not necessary, are a great way to help that process. A trial deck and 1 or 2 boxes is a great way to start deckbuilding! Though, for older sets, trial decks are less helpful because older trial decks just weren't that strong unfortunately (with some oddball exceptions, like the original Disgaea starter decks, which are different from the modern trial decks, but also more expensive). Opening a booster box is fun! And it definitely helps you get into the game- but if you're looking to build a deck or get started on the cheap, singling out from older sets (depending on what you're looking at) can end up being a lot cheaper than buying boxes :) This also varies GREATLY depending on the set you're looking to get into, so I'd really encourage you to shop around! I hope that helps :)

      @@ThreeSixCancel Ok, thank you so much! That's all very helpful. I think I will play around with what I have on the way already then, the two trial decks, and learn the game with those, and maybe get a friend interested if I really like it (no one plays this game near me unfortunately, at least not in my local game stores). I'll probably wait to really dive in and build my own deck until the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure set gets an english release. I think it was at the end of next month? I saw it on their website. But that set alone is a huge part of what caught my attention to the game. I kind of stumbled into finding it a couple of days ago, and I have heard of this game before but never looked into it until then. So I jumped down the rabbit hole and now I'm definitely excited to try out the game and even just have some cards to collect for now, and your videos have certainly helped with that! I haven't watched all of the how to play videos yet just because I plan to wait until I can get my hands on the cards first and take a look at the rule book, but after that I'll certainly finish watching them to get a more thorough understanding of how it all works.
      I'm a huge fan of the Jojo series, both the manga and anime, and I'd love to collect some cool shiny cards for it, so if I want to buy a trial deck and a couple boxes or so to get started with playing more or deckbuilding (I do love openening packs, even if it isn't the most cost efficient), then even if I don't end up finding people to play it with near me I won't mind having all those Jojo themed cards to tinker with or just look at for a while.
      Anyway, thanks again!

    The 'real' way to build a deck, is to play a deck that u like with the characters u like while also getting over the level balance and effects.
