@@jutandebanath960 because it’s a turbo; they will make that sound; whether you hear it or not depends on a few things but it’s fine, they’ll always do that, just certain air filters and intake system designs mask the sound out
Not sure what you all have been smoking but there is nothing wrong with this engine noise, it sounds healthier than ever, it sounds exactly what a Peugeot 1.6tdci is supposed to sound like.... the video I think was intended to show what the engine is supposed to sound like not that there is something wrong 👍 so I find the comments very funny....
Totally agree! People do not know this emgine, has a lot of strange noises but as long as it is not a strong tickling or whining or gas leaking (like a spraying) noise, it is pretty ok
Nu știu dacă ai rezolvat problema până acum, dar exact zgomotul asta îl aveam și eu la turbina in decelerare. Am schimbat electrovalva de la turbina și s-a rezolvat.
Nu a fost din cauza volantei ? Si la mine e zgomotul ala, clar nu e de la turbina fiind am schimbat o, insa volanta imi bate de ceva vreme, si la tine se aude bataie odata cu pornirea motorului
My 2009 1.6 tdci focus just started making this exact same noise, it's like a flutter sound, so I'm looking up about it and trying to figure out what it is before I have a bigger problem. I hope it's not the turbo but it drives fine and no other strange noises so I don't think so. If anyone has any ideas what could be worth checking that would be great. Look at auxiliary belt tensioner vibrations - it should't vibrate at all. The cause is probably the torsion damper wheel (or crankshaft vibrations silencer wheel as some call it; this engine looks like there was no dual mass fly wheel yet (before 2010))
I have the same engine sound (not turbo whistle) from around 44k km its becoming a little bit louder. Now my car have 344k kilometers driven and nothing bad happen😬

I don't think it's normal. Literally mine just started making that same noise today, almost like a turbo flutter sound, it varies a bit when it makes the noise and how loud it is. So if you have the same noise I wouldn't say it's normal something is off for sure. It hasn't effected how my engine runs or drives either but I'm sure something is failing or on its way out 😅 how long for who knows 😅

@@zamirshehu9968 No, it’s not ..... there is a sound still I can hear.. 1 month ago my car was limb mode and engine check light was displayed. I went to mechanic and he said that it’s because of DPF. He cleaned DPF and said to me that my DPF is very weak and suggested me to drive always with more than 2000 rpm to burn off DPF . I was doing the same how he suggested. Few weeks later, I started to listen this sound and I drive to home over 700 miles. The sound became louder. I went to same mechanic and he said now it’s because of Turbo. I asked him, to repair turbo, how much it will cost and to replace new one how much it will cost. He said to repair 200 dolors and to replace new one almost 300 dolors. I requested him to replace with new one turbo. And he replaced with new one. Mechanic said to me that I have strong and new turbo and weak DPF . DPF may not take the pressure of turbo that’s why DPF can be fucked off after few weeks again. Is this true ? Is it possible? Any knowledge please???...... after this I took my car and started to drive. I am listening this sound again now but this time it is less louder.... I don’t know why ? Any idea please?
@@jutandebanath960 what you mechanic told you is so wrong. I encounter such mechanics everywhere. 1- dpf fails from age and from bad diesel injectors that smoke. A bad dpf(filter) does restrict engine power, and driving with that reduced power a long time can damage turbo and engine. When car shows error codes of dpf, you should replace it or remove it.
Sounds perfect i don't know why people think that there is a problem , the engine are like this noisier

The flutter is the blow off valve it's perfectly normal.

Check high pressure pipes from turbo all the pipes connected to the intercooler.

Nah it does have dual mass. Had to replace mine and was expensive af (december 2008)

If its the pffpffpff, mine does the same noise since I changed the DMF and clutch. It is annoying but after 150.000km it's still running.

Had same problem with mine, it was the intercooler pipe was ripped, that is the noise when pressure build up and tubes flex

@@jutandebanath960 driving with high rpm is wrong, regeneration happen at every rpm, as long as spped is 40-90kmh constantly
