The point you mentioned about note taking and writing it in our own style and not copy paste it is the most important thing ever! Thanks for the good tips
let's say you are learning something completely new and don't have pre-material before. Isn't copying + pasting just necessary at the very least to save the 'information' so that it don't went forgotten?
Yeah, if you dont have prematerials that you can easily access then I think thats reasonable :) But always writing it in your own words later on helps consolidate your learning
I dont have time to make handwritten notes, so i am searching for digital notes, and studying 3 degrees at a same time i dont have the time to make 3 different books for ecery sem, imma just write notes on my one note since one note is much easier 😅. It can be really organized and you can just type one topic in one page and you can type on chapter only in one page in one note, Notion is reallly really complicated.
I agree! I wish i have some time to figure notion out because it sounds like it can be a very robust tool. But if you're studying 3 degrees..... notion is a big time investment
@@eunjint exactly!. It takes time to operate that and it is really complicated, I think it's only best to arrange your schedule and meetings and what not in a college setting and in an office setting but it's not that well for note taking!. One note gets the job done and you have an extreme level of freeness in one note, you can start and type from anywhere and it can be adjusted , moved and what not but in notion it's not that free compared to one note. Besides with all its categories , leader board and whatnot, for first time users it's quite complicated. I am not bashing notion but me as a beginner in digital note taking, it is complicated. I am used to one note because I did make some notes in it for my exams when I was preparing for med school, it was time efficient and easy to use. I did not have to waste my entire day understanding which thing led to what and how it was. So yes if you are not studying in a group setting with a large number and you are studying for yourself only...I think one note is best , you don't have to follow a trend just because everyone raves it's the best, do what makes it easier for you and is efficient to you.
I'm a med student and don't really take notes, I love reading and usually read a topic on 3 different books and for me that's way faster than note taking (my learning is very emotional and note taking distracts me from the book and makes me feel like a robot + I'm lazy), but some drs make us write notes for evidence or something and this is really helpful ❤
Hey i saw a client proposal of this channel requiring a better video editing than the current one. I personally feel this is decent what you really need is a better voice quality and good color grading that's it, I am a video editor myself (part time)

Hi. I have few questions. 1) how much time does it take for making notes and formatting excluding typing speed for a topic eg - lung cancer for medicine(including histo, patho, pharma, micro) 2) Is it better than traditional notes(been taking for 24 years) How hard is the switching phase? 3) What about adding stuff after rounds/presentation to notes? is it difficult? 4) If money is not a problem than what app/device can you suggest Thank You
Great video, i would recommend upgrading your microphone because that is something that i noticed. The editing is very good and impressed me a lot for someonoe with only 4.6 k subscribers. Keep it up :)
That was so helpful I just wanted to know answers to all of my 20 questions I got it in one video thanks 😜 I hope more people see this.... (This video) Best regards Seky
I read that one note only has 5 gb free storage, do you think this is enough for taking a lot of notes? and thank you so much that was a very helpful video!!
Hi! Where do you usually store pre-notes like those annotated presentations? I struggle with this and create nested notes for each lecture, which kinda confuses me later when I try to revise. Also, in which way do you usually write notes based on the existing notes - do you use split screen or switch between tabs?
hi! I usually have them separate from my onenote tbh. I have them annotated. on pdf files and saved on the computer. Then I write notes from these annotated pdfs on onenote - attaching the pdfs for reference. I usually do split screen :)

My hand cramps and my handwriting js ass and also I prefer being able to actually pay attention to what the lecturer says than still writing a long ahh note.
Great video, but something didn’t make sense. You said you spent all your time writing notes, with preparation before and post lecture summaries; with special emphasis on how to use them. But then proceeded to say that you basically just downloaded someone’s else’s deck for active recall, did past exams, and mind maps under exam conditions. Did you even use your notes?
@@eunjintI think they meant using a drawing tablet. I was curious about that one too. For most people the main difference between laptop note taking and tablet note taking is that one uses key inputs and the other uses actual writing. Lots of people prefer the latter. I think some of us were hoping to see a method to get written input method onto a laptop when we clicked on this video.
Nope, Microsoft words are great! Taking notes has many different way to do, some have cons some have pros, and of course it depends on how you taking note. If Microsoft Word serves you well, then no need to change it!!! It is easy to organize, has page number, easy format, table, columns,... they are awesome.
