    Thanks for the sharing! The pessure gauge isnt working at my sand filter. When I unscrewed it off, there was non-stop water flowing out from it. Did I miss anything?

    Love your channel but you should never tighten the gauge by the face use the brass flats so you don’t rack the gauge

    Mark, first I want to thank you so much.
    Spending my whole vacation week on my inground pool problems….🙄( leaks to find, etc), decided to change the pressure gage, and….overthight, tiny crack in the housing, tried silicone it, no good, anything else you suggest as a patchy job? Beside changing the whole housing on my Hayward filter?
    Thanks in advance from Montreal, Canada

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  ปีที่แล้ว

      If the multiport housing is cracked then you need to replace the multiport. The valve is under pressure and patching it is temporary at best, and usually does not work. Thanks for watching.

  • @bigonebikes

    Hi Mark nice video. If I wanted to clean the glass visual piece next to the gauge, does that just unscrew? I have same multiport as in your video or close to it.

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies

      The pressure gauge can be installed on the side of the multiport. On some filter systems the gauge can be installed on the filter tank itself. Thanks for watching.

    My Hayward multi port gauge opening is leaking due to treads being ruined on the multi port no matter how much tape I put on it it will still leak and suggestions.

    • @HallmarkPoolSupplies
      @HallmarkPoolSupplies  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the multi port is cracked or the threads are stripped the best way to repair is to replace your valve. Sometimes sealants can be used but this is a temporary fix.

      If this is a new gauge then make Teflon tape was wrapped around the threads or it’s possible you may over tighten the gauge. Check for any cracks in the valve body.
