A couple tricks I use is on the upper trim front, release the outer 1 or 2 clips and pull (slide) the trim gently towards you and they slide right off. remove the sides as usual and leave the lower long trim in place. Cut seal on top and sides and and push out glass. pull remainder of seal and you can see the clips to release the lower trim. Same with the rear except slide the whole trim upper trim off and then do the same steps as front. This way prevents any damage to trim. Try it! This method has worked for me for 30 years! Looking forward to this build.
Hi, really helpful throughout and regarding the floor panels, - I would not have the confidence to take out the whole floor at home in my garage but (proving the tunnel area was still fairly sound) I think I would be happy to fit new half panels. Great tips on carefully extracting the very old glass! Thank you buddy 🙏

Ever give any thought to using a spot welder for more of an original look? Personally I love your restomods. What are your preferences for equipment?
Well, the cowl on my 66 is rusted in the same areas. I'll be interested in seeing how you go about patching them. I did remove my upper and lower cowls. Found that the lip of the firewall was rusted away in the same areas as the cowl. Wondering if the patch duplicate the original shape of the rusted areas ?

Appreciate you going to the basics! Have a question for you, I bought a 2000 mustang front and back seats for my 67 convertible and was wondering if you have ever done something like this? I know the fronts will be straightforward but my question is on the back seat. I know dimensionally it will fit but how hard would it be to make the top part fit and what would need to be modified? Thank you for any tips/suggestions
I believe the overall width of the seats are different. Convertibles have the top to account for on the sides so I believe the coupe seat is much wider

Sorry to keep asking, the market seems flooded with many in that condition and not many people want to dive into something even in this shape so prices are all over the place, Also I don't want to go to Cali and back and probably pay double what one is near TX and still have some rust issues. I just wanna drive it man hah!!

If you ever have a hard time with the window molding clips mopar clips are a slight bit longer and save a lot of time

,uhm HUH?... A 1 pc 66-68 floor pan with seat risers shipped is over $1,000. I wound up using an 82 foxbody parts car floor in my '68 because of that.
With shipping cost yes, cjs is around 550 and I just pick up from their warehouse. 1 benefit of being close to them
