I have several turntables, including 3 Regas (P3, RP8, and P8) but I wanted to contrast the belt drive and the Direct Drive. In the comments I have read here, several individuals asked why spend $2,500+ on a turntable that can be purchased in a vintage version for up to 1/3 the price. Well, technology has marched forward and the DP-3000ne represents two major leaps forward: one in the dedicated power supply and second, in the noise ratio and pulse control of the turntable itself--it's dead quiet and with a less than 0.006% wow and flutter, it is accurate as well. The VTA adjustment makes the new 3000ne infinitely adjustable with almost every cartridge, MM or MC on the market today. That's why you spend $$$ on a turntable-Denon's happens to be a value at that price point ($2500+). The bottom line is, before criticizing Denon's new flagship--give it a listen- a quiet, neutral sounding table with this level of refinement and adjustment could easily sell for $4,000.00.....With a Hana MC cartridge, this Denon sounds better than my Rega P8-and that's not an easy feat.
The problem I have with the Denon deck is the lack of platter access. Sometimes I need to spin a platter by hand to check for record centering. I can do that on my 1210GR very easily, but it looks like manually spinning the Denon platter with an LP on it would be essentially impossible. I regard that as a serious design flaw.
Someone please tell me again why I need an expensive ($2500 US) turntable that does no more than the vintage tables that are available now for 1/3 the cost? I'll wait right here..... And please don't come at me with "warranty or reliability" claims. The table I have now has been working hard for over 40 years without a hitch.
it´s very nice but i still have a similar to this allthough better looking stoped since 97 i had bought it in 93, so i avoid buying new turntables ,i have a denon from late 70´s and it works perfect today , the 90´s one didn´t work for much years and it was expensive ,i when looking to it at a hi-fi store i notice the decrease on built quality but bought it anyway
Will stay with my Japanese quality built Technics 1200, dont like the look of it either, Chinese built meh, suspect quality, older Denon tables were excellent though.
There is a review where guy has his own sl1200g and compares that to this. Technics ofc wins, but for the money this Denon is great. And it doesnt look like DJ stuff
Technics is better I've been using them for over fifty years, l must admit the Denon is nice though, but don't say it's better than technics I've been into hi-fi for over fifty years and I'm still learning!!! the proof of the pudding 🍮 is in the listening, blind listening 🎧 test etc 😮
come on, there is absolutely no way this is worth the money, its just a beefed up hanpin chinese parts bin - yes, they have made a nice looking tonearm, but just cannot ever take this seriously for the money. There is far better credibility and pedigree in the Technics

Agree w/you 100%, have had it with AT MC cartridge for 1 month now or so and it looks & sounds great 👍
Denon's Masterpiece
Chinese junk
I love Denon. I have their DP-400 and it's a great table for the price. I'm really curious about this table.

You are right
Let's hope they produce the modern equivalent of the superb DP-80 and DP-100 transcription-level turntables.
Made in China and not Japan is a disappointment considering it’s a flagship
So what, it is designed by the Japanese! You don't like just don't buy!
Have a look at Denon flagships from the 1970s and 1980s and maybe then you will understand my comment Mr snappy @@anthonywright9357
I just purchased one, beautiful looking and sounds wonderful with Hana ML!
Strange people still underestimate China!

Yes, considering more than 90% of all our electronics (globally) is sourced from China.
Beauty 👍🏻

100% agree.
Will never buy that chinese junk. My japanese vintage denons will blow that out of the water
Useless comment.
@@dockausik No, yours was useless. It added nothing to the conversation
The direct drive motor is the same as on Hanpin's super OEM , Reloop RP7000MK2 for instance.

I'll keep my Technics sl1200 MKII (made in Japan) produced over 30 years ago over this hanpin Chinese deck.

❤ Denon
Well. I can say that I’m very jealous.
I have several Denon products made in Japan and would buy this as well if it was made there.
Made in China
Denon is a mark up product just like Bose Products.
Oh don’t get me wrong Denon makes great receivers but you need a doctorate degree to program it.
It’s a great turntable but not better thank the the technics 1200g maybe in par to the 1200gr
There is a review where guy has his own sl1200g and compares that to this. Technics ofc wins, but for the money this Denon is great. And it doesnt look like DJ stuff
Looks nicer than the Technics, however I doubt it performs as well. It’s quite a bit cheaper
Does this have the opto-electronical motor stop/arm up function as older Denon decks have, for example the DP-1200 ?
Platter ind side is same as Reloop rp7000
why does the tonearm drop onto the record so quickly?
This is the way.
Because incorporating a cueing dampening system is apparently not do-able in a $2500 turntable. LOL!
@@SinnerSince1962 slowly costs $25 000
I have the avca1h avr, will this pair nice with this turntable? People slate denon for 2 channel music but i think it sounds brilliant
Yes! Get a Denon cartridge as well

Agree, it is not better. Aesthetically it is nicer. 5:07
I like the looks better than Technics, but I'm more of a belt MF.
It does not convince me….no balanced connections, the underside of the platter is screwed….made in China, at this price?
China is a major source of turntables these days.
....and 78 speed?!
