I dont understand when i should do this and when i should not can u please explain. I have this in my graduation project and the beams sizes are just absurd because of the torsion load, please explain in details if possible it would really help me a lot, or if you could refer me to the source of info thx.

The purpose of this video is only for showing the tool to ignore torsion in beam design. We need to follow the design code to know if we need to include the torsion in beam design.

Depends on the Tu and phi*Tth. You can compare them and decided whether you can ignore or not.
