Dan , i' m adding to your comment on new holland hay bine. Their is a track that controls the teeth on the reel. This track helps feed the hay into the crimper rolls. I've have a couple Heston mower conditioners myself. A few little changes , I get the same results! I hope you have a good father's day!
We cut a lot of our hay with a 3020 gasser too. Sometimes we use John Deere A. Rake with the ZB. Actually it is a good time to do some meditative cutting. I like the synchromesh transmission too. I thought it was kind of unique.
JD 3020 is a good tractor. Especially the diesels. Shifter is a bit of a challenge when it gets worn and the controls aren't in the best locations but very dependable and economical.
a John Deere? I still have my grandad's John Deere No.9 mower that he used 40-45 years ago. new holland had a hay conditioner (not sure what model) that he pulled with a MM Jetstar to follow where the No.9 had cut.
Another great video Dan! I really enjoy seeing that old iron doing the jobs they were designed to do.
Very enjoyable video Dan. Nice to see the New Holland Janine in action. Thanks
Good explanation 😊thanks
I love the smell of fresh cut hay.

I’ve never seen a cutter/mower like that. In Oklahoma everyone we knew used Sickle Bar mowers.

Should see what the grass looks like at Western Minnesota steam threshers reunion grounds. Should just cut it for hay
J.D? Blasphemy. lol. Thanks for explaining how this contraption works.
