I think Smylov said "I will play 40 moves and if my opponent doesn't make a mistake we will draw". It let's them take chances and save themselves if it goes bad. Right now Carlsen has a huge advantage because he can draw every game and retain. Nepo may have to overextend and be vulnerable.
Still haven;t fixed your gdamn Stockfish instalation. That is IF that clueless bar onscreen really has anything to do with Stockfish, which I doubt very much. Your other stream with Judith has Stockfish working boringly normal as it should. It's not Quantum Physics.
Show the engines moves, they should show them on the screen, and forget about all the fluff talk about their clothes, their body language, what they had for dinner...

For better or worse, there you'll get ALL the analysis--Giri going over every single possibility--and almost none of the entertainment.
Both are just amazing players. It´s more than a pleasure to see this happening

Agreed. If you don't lose against strong players and beat the ones who are lower your success increases.
