Hakeem (The Dream) Olajuwon. He had Quick Moves like a Guard. Shooting Range of a Small Forward. Cat Quick (Steals) Hands. Power of a Power Forward. He Was waaaay Ahead of His Time. Best Center Ever!
If it “wasn’t close” then the time they was in the finals it would not of made it to a game 7.Remember, he swept Shaq but Pat had them in a game 7 and if his number 2 on his team didn’t go 3/17 from the field we probably have a different story to tell. I also think if you lined the rockets up vs the Knicks the Rockets was a better team so I just can’t buy it’s that far apart
Patrick was never surrounded by players capable of winning a championship. They all had holes in their game. He is not given nearly enough credit for taking his flawed team as far as he did each year. Look at what has happened to the Knicks since he left.
this is true, but i hate to say it as a ewing fan, but hakeem was a bit better skills wise in the post and had better hands. ewing destroyed his knee his rookie year, I wonder what he could have been like if he could jump like he did in college. he could jump in the NBA, but the knee injury took a little off.

His team was better than Hakeem. The Knicks took it to 7 while Ewing got shut down
Ewing treated Hakeem for lunch when they played.
Hakeem!
Pat Ewing...
