Hey mate thanks for the video about to buy a 100/90 /19 K760 Just to confirm this fits on a stock 19 inch talaria wheel? or have you got aftermarket 19 inch wheels? also what size tyre have you got running on your front?
Thanks bro! So the stock sting R has an 80/100-19 tire, the one in this video is a 100/90-19! All very confusing! The best for a stock power bike is the 80/100-19 fortra tire! For an upgraded power bike the kenda trakmaster 100/90-19 is my favourite! The first number is the width, second is the height and third is the rim size. Hope this helps 🤙🏻💪🏼
want 100/90 19 Bridgestone x20 for the rear wheel. and the standard rear 80/100 19 CST instead of the front 70/100 19. I have a Talaria 5500. Can this be done or would you recommend something different? Do the side checkers on the wheel need to be cut off? Thanks a lot!!!!
@ this tire is extremely wide for its size even 90/100-16 doesnt fit well you would need to cut all the knobbles off or dish the wheel fully over and cut half. I wouldnt advise it in that size. The stock 80/100-19 is more like a 70/100/19 its very narrow you cannot judge it by the size written on the side. A x30 70/100-19 is the same size as the original cst rear.
What do you think about the tusk ground wire tire combo? I want a good year round tire. It gets muddy during the winter but there's also a lot of rock and hard pack where I ride. Any suggestions for front and back tire would be appreciated 👍
Never used it bro! Cant find them over here in the uk. After this video I jumped to a 19/16 wheelset and never looked back my man! We have a similar tire here called the fortra 80/90-19 but it’s still a heavy beast to install to a stock bike!

Awesome riding! Looking at purchasing this tire but I'm reading that for 100/90 tires, it's recommended to have a rim width of 2.15-2.75 in. Are you running the Kenda K760's on the stock Talaria Sting rims? Just curious, because I'll order rims too if needed. Thanks man!

@@stingyrogerrhell yeah, thanks for the info man! About to place my order! Does a 3.25/3.5 inch tube work? I think the one in the stock tire now is only 2.75 inch
@ch40440 you wanna use the stock tube. Thats what I did, if you enlarge the tube to a 3.0+ you will find it super hard to fit the tire without pinching it as you’re governed by your rim beads. These tires work tubeless too so the size does not really matter!
It fits in stock bikes. This was stock wheels in the video. You can fit it without cutting if you dish wheel using spoke tool. Or just cut a little off side knob with a stanley knife to clear the chain like I did :)

It would fit but would need more trimming than it does on Talaria, the width of the talaria rear wheel is a bit wider than surrons wheel as well as having more clearance with the chain. If you are looking for a tire that goes on without trimming or dishing which is wider than most other mx front tires then the 80/100-19 fortra tire is better (google it - plenty of UK sellers you may have to import) The 70/100-19 mx33 fits on the front just fine yes . Good Day. I have similar DIY bike based at qs205 (12-15 kW peak) and thinking to change my narrow rear wheel (2.75 19) Same as you, I am looking at 100/90 19, but also thinking about 90/100 16. I want to ask you one thing, Is it much harder to pop up front wheel compared to stock one, I believe it is smaller in diameter? (I am saying not about wheelie like a continues process, just about popup a front wheel) Thank you.
Thanks for watching! My bike wheels are both 19” wheel and are stock, the rear tyre hasn’t made any difference to being able to lift the front wheel! A 16 inch rear tyre would drop the rear down and therefore make the front feel higher in comparison! This would make it easier to pop the front wheel as you are asking! Thanks for leaving a comment hope my response helped ! 🤙🏻

Hey, comparing to the stock sprocket, does the 58 tooth sprocket make the power come too fast and does the rider have to be more careful when increasing the throttle? Reply
Hey man! You’re absolutely right. It does all of those things and at low speeds can catch you out! I dont recommend going any more than + or - 6 teeth than stock, my talaria is actually running a 48t rear as it comes with 44t from stock! I tried higher but didnt like it ! I’m going to make a comparison video between sprockets soon so stay tuned!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I am interested in more technical slow speed riding over obstacles(rocks, logs), creeks, tight turns etc. How would you set up the Talaria R for that?@@stingyrogerr
I do a lot of that type of riding also but I don’t record it as it doesn’t look as fun on camera! I think the 48T is perfect for this! It still has lots of low down torque but it allows you to be a little bit clumsier with the throttle without trying to buck you off! It also gives you a bit more power in the mid range for when you want to lift the wheel over 25mph 👍🏻
@@stingyrogerr Hi Again, I ask another guy the same question. He said best to change the controller if I go with a much larger sprocket .. 35-40 mph top speed is what i'd like with better low end torque. I'm 205 lbs.
@@stingyrogerr absolute legend mate. I'm getting a brand new sting r end of the week so trying to get as much information absorbed as possible. So I don't need a KO motor to achieve 70mph. Stock motor with just a KO controller and a 42t sprocket will get me 70mph
No bro! it is an upgraded battery. You will not get 70mph without upgrading the battery. You will have 8kw of power and 45ah but you need approx 12kw to get to 70mph! This is gps speed so the stock display says 79mph. With the stock battery you will only get to 54mph gps max!
Thanks for watching! You cant space the chain unfortunately but that would be handy! To make this tyre fit I used a stanley knife blade to remove 3mm off of the knobbles on the chain side. 3mm is such a tiny amount you cannot feel it or see it. The K760 Trakmaster tyre comes up pretty narrow for a 100/90-19 so its one of the very few which you can make fit! I am making another video soon with another great tire option which is slightly smaller and lighter for stock power bikes so stay tuned! 😎
Which front tyre is this? I didn’t found the video where you recommended this. So I search for a recommendation for a good front tyre for standard 19“ wheel.
Have these tires just the slimmer version as I'm on stock If you look at these and the stock cst they're the exact same pattern these are just have MUCH more traction due to quality
@@stingyrogerr yeah I'd certainly go thicker if I wasn't on stock power atm. These are really good tires but certainly are off road oriented, I've used the shinko 241x3.25 and they were very good on the road compared to these. Much heavier tho - imo they are pushing it saying these are dual sport but they're still suitable for the sur ron I can still feel safe on the road with these that being said
I would have to agree with you! I think the compounds are what allow them to be ‘E’ marked or road legal in simple terms! Mine get a bit squirelly over 60mph but cruising at 40-50mph they feel fine, ill probably switch to a more trials oriented tyre this summer as the grounds stiffens up and save the k760 for winter! They wear lovely too- ive done approx 600 miles on this tyre and its hardly worn at all! I agree with you though I would say these tyres are 85% offroad 15% onroad 👍🏻
Hey, thanks for watching! I use my Iphone 14 pro in cinematic mode on my insta360 flow gimbal! For my action cam shots thats my gopro 11 black 4k 60fps 🤙🏻 More surron/talaria content to come weekly! 🎥
It sure does! My bike has 11.8kw when fully charged! I managed to get 67mph out of my bike GPS yesterday at 55% charge! I couldn’t be happier with my extra power! Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
No problem, You have to upgrade to an aftermarket battery and an aftermarket controller! In the UK to upgrade both will cost around £3000 - £3500. Big expense but worth it for me, it’s easy to get carried away when you start modding the bike doing suspension and power!
Yes, stock motor is okay up to 14kw. At 12kw holding 67mph for 3 minutes continuous I never had the motor overheat. When you get to 14kw your motor can overheat and cut power if you ride for hours on end at high speed. 10 to 12kw is sweet spot for stock motor no issues 🤙🏻
Thanks for watching, Im running 18psi front and back with 2.75 & 3.0 inner tubes respectively. I have also added approx 200ml of sealant in each tube and never had puncture since 💪🏼
Hey ! Thanks for watching! I made a mistake here! A few brands do make 80/100-19 tyres, thats actually the size of the stock talaria rear tyre - also the trials style tires that are 3.00 wide by 19 are the equivalent of an 80/100-19. What I meant to say in the video was 70/100-19 and thankfully they are much easier to find ! A great option to avoid spending too much money to go for one of those 80/100-19 is to go for a 70/100-19 Geomax MX33 as it comes up SUPER wide! I run that tyre on my surron with stock power and its lightweight and grippy whilst looking chunky. The Kenda Trakmaster K760 in this size is also really highly reccomended. Most MX tyres come up much wider than the surron & talaria’s stock tyres and their respective size would suggest! Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

careful when increasing the throttle?
Reply
@@stingyrogerr Hi Again,
I ask another guy the same question.
He said best to change the controller if
I go with a much larger sprocket .. 35-40
mph top speed is what i'd like with better
low end torque. I'm 205 lbs.
Hi bro! Yeah you could try a 52T sprocket. This should provide you with what youre after! 58t sprocket will be too much!
What Motor and controller you upgraded too? Also what's top speed now with that upgrade
Stock talaria motor, KO controller, 60v 63ah battery 12kw at the time of video 73mph gps with 48t sprocket.
@@stingyrogerr absolute legend mate. I'm getting a brand new sting r end of the week so trying to get as much information absorbed as possible. So I don't need a KO motor to achieve 70mph. Stock motor with just a KO controller and a 42t sprocket will get me 70mph
@@stingyrogerr is that 60v 63ah battery you mentioned stock or an upgrade
No bro! it is an upgraded battery. You will not get 70mph without upgrading the battery. You will have 8kw of power and 45ah but you need approx 12kw to get to 70mph!
This is gps speed so the stock display says 79mph. With the stock battery you will only get to 54mph gps max!
@@stingyrogerr do you have a link for that battery bro be much appreciated
so, to make the wheel fit (100/90-19), do you need to grind the outer teeth?
are there any spacers to move the chain outwards?
Thanks for watching!
You cant space the chain unfortunately but that would be handy! To make this tyre fit I used a stanley knife blade to remove 3mm off of the knobbles on the chain side. 3mm is such a tiny amount you cannot feel it or see it.
The K760 Trakmaster tyre comes up pretty narrow for a 100/90-19 so its one of the very few which you can make fit!
I am making another video soon with another great tire option which is slightly smaller and lighter for stock power bikes so stay tuned! 😎
I dished my kenda track master, instead of trimming the knobs.
Good idea! I have some new wheels coming soon which should make for a good video, have a size i’ve never seen people on the TH-cam using! 👀🤙🏻
Is this tire size really that bad on stock power? What would be the downsides?
Would feel like bike has less power 👍🏻
how long can you ride with a battery en these trails?
Nice Vid btw❤
Thank you for watching! This battery will do 60miles at 25-30mph on a single charge !
I appreciate the support!
Hope this helps 🤙🏻👍🏻
Question my guy I got a 100/90-19 for my back could it fit my front?
@@adplayz4349 no it would rub and hit your forks
Is this still the tyre of choice for a 19" stock talaria rim?
For me yes would be my go-to
@@stingyrogerr I just installed it 😍😍 it looks mean 🤟🏾🤟🏾
Which front tyre is this?
I didn’t found the video where you recommended this.
So I search for a recommendation for a good front tyre for standard 19“ wheel.
Favourite for standard front wheel in 2024 is dunlop mx33 & mx34 70/100-19 tire 💪🏼
Thank you very much for the recommendation 👍
will this rear tyre fit on the standard talaria sting rear wheel?
@@harveycross2705 yes it’s on a standard wheel in this video as mentioned
What website did you order the tires from mate?
Ebay mate! as will all my videos the link is in description to buy :)
Is that a standard talaria or have you upgraded it looks faster than a surron
It was upgraded! Check out my latest content to see my new additions!
What tire do you use in the front?
Used to be mitas terra force mx but now i prefer mx33 by Dunlop 👍🏻
Have these tires just the slimmer version as I'm on stock
If you look at these and the stock cst they're the exact same pattern these are just have MUCH more traction due to quality
Good to hear ! Thank you for watching!
Im guessing you went 70/100-19?
Appreciate the info! 🤙🏻🤙🏻
@@stingyrogerr yeah I'd certainly go thicker if I wasn't on stock power atm. These are really good tires but certainly are off road oriented, I've used the shinko 241x3.25 and they were very good on the road compared to these. Much heavier tho - imo they are pushing it saying these are dual sport but they're still suitable for the sur ron
I can still feel safe on the road with these that being said
I would have to agree with you!
What camera setup do you use for HDR?
Hey, thanks for watching!
I use my Iphone 14 pro in cinematic mode on my insta360 flow gimbal!
For my action cam shots thats my gopro 11 black 4k 60fps 🤙🏻
More surron/talaria content to come weekly! 🎥
@@stingyrogerr So, you used ProRes on the iPhone. The file must be huge, but its an eyes-candy on my Mac. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! I have it set my phone camera to ‘RAW’ also! Looks good but It certainly chews up space!
I appreciate the support! 🫡
Did you say you're running at 12kW? Does double the power make it a whole new experience?
It sure does! My bike has 11.8kw when fully charged! I managed to get 67mph out of my bike GPS yesterday at 55% charge!
I couldn’t be happier with my extra power!
Thanks for watching! 🤙🏻
@@stingyrogerr if you don't mind me asking, what did you have to upgrade to get this amount of power?
No problem, You have to upgrade to an aftermarket battery and an aftermarket controller! In the UK to upgrade both will cost around £3000 - £3500.
Big expense but worth it for me, it’s easy to get carried away when you start modding the bike doing suspension and power!
@@stingyrogerr stock motor still?
Yes, stock motor is okay up to 14kw.
At 12kw holding 67mph for 3 minutes continuous I never had the motor overheat.
When you get to 14kw your motor can overheat and cut power if you ride for hours on end at high speed.
10 to 12kw is sweet spot for stock motor no issues 🤙🏻
Are these on the stock 19 talaria wheel?
Yes! In a 100/90-19 size !
🔥
Thank you for watching!! 🫡
What psi tire pressure are you running ?
Thanks for watching,
Im running 18psi front and back with 2.75 & 3.0 inner tubes respectively.
I have also added approx 200ml of sealant in each tube and never had puncture since
💪🏼
@@stingyrogerr Thanks for answering back, amazing riding by the way. You were ripping hard thru those trails even full speed wheelies. Sik
Thanks bro!! More to come🤙🏻
Is that a stock rear/front rim?
Yes it is in this video! Stock wheels!
@@stingyrogerr thank you sir!
@taxpayertroy thank you for watching 💪🏼
Thank you! One last question? What’s the model size of your front?? I need to get rid of the trash front tire too
@taxpayertroy front is 70/100-19! But an mx tire, the mx33 is best for front! 👍🏻
Oh, how I hate riding in muck like that!!! Nice Video though! : )
Just dish your wheel after no issues with chain touching
Well that fit on a talaria xxx
Not sure. We dont have many in the UK as they cost only 300 less than the mx4

You know it bro!
Does anybody make a 80/100/19?
Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Also here is a Link to a good 80/100-19 if you still want to go for that size
