Do you use the express payouts at all?
Never. 1.5%/$2. Doesn't matter what platform it is; it's still a bush league move.
Never
No
Nope. Ok I did Saturday because there were some good yard sales but it was a free express.
No. I do not.
Thanks for the heads-up. I've now changed mine back to daily, instead of instant.
I choose weekly just because often they take the shipping label cost later, so to limit my bank account transactions I set it to weekly
I thought of doing express when ebay first introduced it. Glad I changed my mind. I'm happy with my daily payouts then I can decide where the money goes. Savings, invest, etc.
I used to do daily payouts now I do weekly payouts. Easy to keep track of and It motivates me do have a higher payout every week
I do weekly payouts bc I'm a small seller. I used to have daily payouts but switched. I honestly forgot about daily.
Why not daily.. it doesn't matter your size. There is ZERO benefit to letting ebay hold money
Just like payday lenders, it is a way to exploit people who live hand to mouth and have no savings or emergency fund. I would imagine some new sellers who don't have a regular job are in that position sadly.
Yea, I'm switching to bank withdrawal. The express is pretty quick. I did it yesterday and it was in my account in 30-40 seconds. Anyway, usually just cost under a buck when I do it. Not anymore! Lol setting it up tonight, switching off express.
We do weekly. Etsy pays me on Monday EB pays me on Tuesday. Works great for us.
But why? why not daily
Thank you for the clarification I’m tired of getitng charge 2 dolar fee, it truly erks my life
If you do daily withdraws without express you wont get charged
Yeah i just changed over to daily withdraw so hopefully it stops this 2.00 fee nonsense. I had mine set up weekly before this and thought inwas ceasing thw 2$ fee… i was wrong. Thanks dude!
I use daily deposit. I like to get my money daily, because I'll use it to source with. The money hits my bank account by 6pm everyday, Monday through Friday. Whatever accures over the weekend will hit my account first thing Monday morning. As long as its not a holiday.
The only selling cost would be store sub which will come out of your method of payment if not in balance..so no big deal. imo
I do daily myself as well. I don't want Ebay holding my money just in case something happens.
Exactly
I have my payouts set to weekly. Makes for simpler bookkeeping. So what if eBay make money on if it sits there for a week. My checking account doesn't pay interest. Interest rates on savings accounts isn't worth mentioning. Maybe it's different if you are pulling in tons of money every day.
Simpler bookkeeping? You can link accounts to bookkeeping and its no more work
@@RockstarFlipper All my accounts are linked to my bookkeeping program.
"For convenience" They are all instant for me. Literally. Anyway this hurts smaller and newer sellers. Not a huge hit but could add up fast.
I receive payouts every Tuesday, and I am good with that.
But why? Why allow ebay to hold money for ZERO reason? There is 0 upside to it for you.. only for them
@RockstarFlipper For me, I do Ebay as a side hustle and have not spent a single dime on my profits. I just started selling on January 1st of this year and have other sources of income, so I don't need the money. Therefore. once a week is good for me.
I always have my sales deposited in my bank acct. it’s usually always there the next day.
So to do express is kind of throwing away money in my opinion.
Exactly
The 1.5% is worth it if you are a high valume seller. For those who aren't its not worth it. I feel bad for them.
We do weekly payouts. Pay ourselves payroll monthly so the additional work on bookkeeping isn't worth the additional work. Perhaps eBay intends to charge for withdrawal on all funds eventually. This is a test to see how well it is embraced.
It all depends on your bank how long it takes
Hey if express works and they dont mind the fee fine otherwise I agree just do the free one.
I do daily payouts no need for express I just have payouts everyday into my acct I don’t want eBay holding my money any longer than necessary.
As a dropshipper, we need that money to pay our suppliers.! For a $500.00 payout it's worth the 2 dollars!🤗
How do you drop ship on eBay I was trying but the shipping days are only 2 days
@@vqnplaya I don't understand your question!
@@tomjm8047 because you only get 2 days to ship something in eBay before it’s to long
Thats exactly where I am. I just started back on ebay and I am not even getting my money to purchase the product. I don't know if its because I am a new seller or what. But I sell small inexpensive things also, so I don't knw what to do. I guess I'll play it by ear and when I sell something for a decent price next I will see if customer service will give me my money sooner.
@@Debra-lc1zx just keep at it and adjust your prices, you'll do fine!👍☺️
I get mine daily (not express) but I hear some people say they do weekly as its so called easier they find for bookkeeping reasons. Why let someone make money for holding your money?
I HEAR IT EVERYDAY, And it makes no sense to me
Not in MT though 😢, understandable that you can only do soany states in the time allowed, but will definitely shownupmid you ever get the xhance to be in MT.
My express payout stopped working. It says a problem incurred and to try again later. It started a few weeks ago and I’ve called twice and they have no idea what to do. Please any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
This doesn't bother me I don't use this service. I just used a regular managed payments and I'm happy with it.
Same
I am a buyer & use American Express to pay. Are there other payment options to use on Ebay so I can still use my American Express? Perhaps off topic but kind of related with money issues. thank you
You could link your Amex to paypal and use... but you won't get the points the same i think.. maybe?
I will check it out thank you for your time & trouble@@RockstarFlipper
They had to raise the money to pay off the steiner lawsuit somehow, of course, grift from the sellers...who else?
It’s cheaper over $133….
So frustrated with EBay !
??
I used to do daily, but switched to weekly because I knew I had a return coming and I wanted the funds there to cover it. Then I discovered that I kinda like weekly; it's like getting a paycheck, and it makes it easy to compare income from week to week.
Is there a video for how to turn instant payments off? I accidentally turned it on, not knowing there was fees. I cant seem to find out how to go back to daily.
Try your Seller Hub and look under Payments
This video... click on the payouts and choose daily
I do daily
I do monthly withdrawal. Makes billing easier. And keeps me motivated to spend less and make more.
But your letting money sit somewhere else you could be using it
@@RockstarFlipper yes but I know my habits and I tend to spend on things I shouldn't and when I need it... it won't be their. I've done the everyday payouts... but I always spent it on things that ain't goona make me money like going out to eat. Or buying things I think I need for the store... but really didn't use it. I get your point. But for me this works best for now.
Hello new here. I was wondering if anybody had this message when accepting a counter offer from a buyer.
"There is an issue processing your request."
How do you resolve it? This is happening both laptop and cell phone I've tried clearing cache as well.
Ty so much
Temporary glitch.
@@RockstarFlipper Hope so it's been almost 24 hours.
I do weekly, daily junks up my transactions history.
So leaving your money in for a week is better than a digital transaction history?
Soooo let's just say you "hypothetically" don't want the ebay sales to go into your bank account....with Express Payouts you could send money to your debit card.....using a PayPal debit card the sales would actually never hit your bank account. Don't all the haters gang up on me at once....but is this really now an option with Express? Am I missing something, because I don't see this as an option with scheduled payments.
Yes you choose a "card" so technically a paypal card SHOULD work
I don't think that's correct. I just tried to add my PayPal card and it asked for the statements and all that. So it seems it is the exact same as always. The only change is the fee went from 1.5% to $2 Flat Rate
I wanted to do the same thing as you but it didn't work for me
Please let me know if you were able to do it
I have done express it's always instant within seconds of initiating the transfer
Nice! sometimes it CAN take longer but good to hear its going quick at least
Mercari is $3 for instant. $2 for 4-5 days.
LOL mercari is so bad
Mercari also did away with seller fees.
@@RockstarFlipper Listed 40 items on both eBay and Mercari. Got instant views and sales on Mercari. No views or sales on eBay.
@@zanegraham4103 That helps!
If i switch from daily to weekly to test out the Express Payments and then i want to switch back to daily, does it take a few days to go back to daily? Or is that also instantly?
I think 24 hours, i could be wrong on that
The only reason I am remotely interested in this is because I am not getting paid at all, until the item is shipped or longer. i just re-joined ebay after years ago. I had the impression that as soon as I sold something I would immediately get the money so I can purchase the item and ship it. This is causing me a great deal of problems. So if this card will give me my money so I can do purchasing and shipping, I am all for it. But if I am to pay 2$ a pop then I need to stop selling 5$ items. I am confused. When are we supposed to get our money after selling a product if it is set to be paid daily without the card? Are we supposed to have to wait till the customer receives the product? Hopefully someone here will give me some insight that I desperately need.
@@Debra-lc1zx you don’t get it instantly. Example. A customer buys the item Monday morning. If you have daily transfers set it’ll transfer Tuesday, and you’ll get it Wednesday on average depending on your bank
Back in the day, you could get PayPal money into your account instantly.
Now you CAN for $2 transfer instantly out of eBay. But you don’t have to.
Pay for your inventory yourself. Your relying on other people to fund your inventory purchases
Are the instant payouts automatically sent for each transaction?
Or are they paid out only when the seller initiates it?
I have always done daily payouts.
As long as the cash just keeps rolling in, I am good.
Only when you do it
❤❤❤
No,thanks Ebay, I'm good :D
Hey man i sold an item for $2k and was able to withdraw after receiving positive feedback but now i cant do it anymore. Saying it will be on hold for the whole month. I have bills to pay and food to get. What can i do?
Depends why they held it....could be high risk, could be anything they will tell you.
@@RockstarFlipper does neutral feedback cause money to be placed on hold?
@@SimonGonzalOS no
❤️
Hey please help me....can I add my debit card for payouts as a new seller on ebay??my card has been rejected on ebay over and over again so I'm failing to sell on ebay as a new seller they keep saying they can't verify my card
Ive been on ebay 20 years and my card gets rejected. No clue. I just do the normal bank account daily payouts
