Howzit! Thanks for the great video!👍. I come from Joburg but living in UK. When I lived in Joburg I kept an egg eater but cannot find any here in UK. Also Brown house...not seen these before they are lekker. I'm keen to also do something with Baird's snake. Do you know of them? Incredibly underrated. Good work keen to see more progress.

What kind of incubator do you use to hatch all your baby snakes in because I'm in the market to find a rack system for my ball pythons and an incubator for the eggs

Can you show us a video of the breeding facility and how you keep everything as a breeder from South Africa, because we only basically see facilities from the us and things?

Do you feed live with this snake

The babies often need to take live and can then easily be transferred to frozen/thawed😊👍🏻

I have a year and a half year old male Lineatus (Henri) and he used to be a fairly regular eater, occasionally live pinkies/fuzzies, sometimes frozen/thawed every week or every other week. But now he goes 2-3 weeks or even longer without eating. Is this normal? It's been 23 days now since his last meal and his last one before that was 11 days earlier. I've heard this species is more finicky than other Boaedon species

I thought most snakes did that, as they got older. Babies need more sustenance & can usually find smaller prey animals to fit their mouths. As they get bigger, they’re going to eat bigger things that likely take more work to catch. And more energy & time to digest. Which are more reasons why I thought their metabolism slowed down, across many species; not only Squamata but amphibians & other herps, as well... Also it’s a seasonal thing as well.. has to do with natural prey availability, hibernation and/or brumation cycles (if they have any), natural mating seasons… even if they’re captive bred.
Also, I had a pair of African fat-tailed geckos, and the male would annually stop eating and sleep 24/7. Like, for a long time. And they’re already a very dopey, sleepy gecko, even compared to similarly related leopard geckos or even cave geckos. Fat-tails are definitely some of the slowest reptiles in the world. But I digress- Not eating for months at a time and sleeping all the time. Doesn’t that sound like some sort of hibernation cycle? Haha. Yet I was freaking out… So much in fact that I donated him to the Reptile & Amphibian Society here in San Diego. After eight years lol. After that l realized, first of all, he’s older. And then I thought, oh yeah, it’s probably a seasonal slow down every year.. But I understand it is annoying and stressful

Hey my Brown house snake won't eat. She's 7 months old and I've had her since she was 2 months old. She hasn't eaten in 3 weeks and it's starting to stress me out. She's in a 60cm×45cm×45cm enclosure with sphagnum moss substrate and always ate. Heat spot is 30°C but she's always in the cold spot. Any advice?
