Ultimate Exotics Reptiles thank you so much! Solar eclipse has settled into the family rather nicely! It’s fun to watch them be so explorative at night and honestly despite being a baby tolerates being handled fairly easily after the first panic of being picked up. I truly love the little one and am looking forward to watching solar grow!

@@Khi420 they are doing super well! They have a wonderful food response and in my opinion are less squirmy than corn snakes. This species also loves to burrow and climb so they are really fun to watch. I actually fell in love with this species so much I now have a t+ albino as well now. Both are doing fantastic. Only skips a meal when they are in blue. Their temperature control and humidity is easy to control. They are a very hardy smaller species of snake. I absolutely recommend!

I have a few questions: when you mean at night to turn all light off, does that include heat as well? at night, do you turn the heat totally off? the hide closest to the heat, was that a humidity hide? are you supposed to keep it in direct light, or just enough to keep it warm? I've seen lights that are dimmed to a blue shade at night, but brightens the cage a little bit so you can see. is that alright for them? and, even though you said they have no specific light or anything, what type of light do you use for them? how do you maintain the humidity at 40%-60% in the terrarium? out of the house snakes you've owned, what is the average lifespan? How do you know the heat light is maintaining 30 degrees Celsius? is there usually a special setting on the light?
