Thanks that is very interesting. I have a blue eyed Lucy 15 months old. Love temperament. Her last shed was not good and In bits and we had to help her. Humidity now better but I'm struggling to keep it right. The other day her hide over the heat pad was very wet inside
I keep a couple of dumerils since 23 years. These snakes getting realy big. Mine are about 2.5m and 15kg. I've been in south madagascar and saw even e bigger one in the wild.....
I saw one once that was over 3 meters and built like a blood python. Theres a guy on youtube who seems to be an animal educator. He has videos of a dumerils boa that will blow your mind. I cant seem to find his videos right now, but im sure they are still on youtube. Most of his videos are of him and his 2 female assistants talking to crowds outdoors on a very small stage. He has burmese pythons and stuff too, and his Dumerils is even bigger than his adult burm. Granted, it wasnt the biggest burmese python, but STILL. It had to be more than twice the weight of any other dumerils boa ive ever seen. He was talking about how unusually big she was in his video too.
I found the website a while ago by chance, and having found out it is in RSA that made it better cause I am looking at the dumeril which really struck my attention
I mean maaaaybe for a very small male. I'd feel a lot better putting them in a 6x2 though. For some of the bigger females id go even bigger. Try buying HDPE from farmer supply websites. You can buy the huge panels that they use to line barns and make custom enclosures out of it. It ends up being a lot cheaper than it costs to buy a big custom enclosure. Im working on building 2 10x4's and 2 8x4's rightnow. It only costs about $2000 in materials for all 4 giant enclosures, as opposed to paying about $3000 per cage to have someone else do it.
PLEASE HELP, I have had several snakes over 30 yrs and I have my 1st Dumerils Boa, she is fantastic but at 14 month she stopped eating. I have tried mice and rats but nothing some times she'll kill it but won't take it, her cage is 82 degrees ambient, hot side 84-85, cool side 76-78 with humidity 45-65. She hasn't eaten in 3 months but her shin is smooth, I don't see any mouth rot, mites I have a vet appointment in a couple days, do you have any suggestions. TX Ozzie
I think the dumerils community would disagree with the good feeder comment. They are known for being problematic feeders. Also they love to burrow so newspaper wouldn't be recommended. But other than that good video.
Please don't ever keep them on newspapers/paper towels. They love to burrow, it makes them feel safe. Give them lots of substrate and you'll pretty much never see them again unless you go digging and pull them out. lol
On here it say it reach 6ft but I hurd it's more 8-9ft avg . How often can it feed on rabbits ?
Now thats a pretty thumbnail!
Thank u man I’m trying to get a Dumerils boa and this info helps
I've been eyeing them on the website for quite some time, and hope to get one. Thanks for the video
Awesome glad to hear😊👍🏻
Nicely done bud, great video and very informative.

Thank you. Been thinking of getting one. I have 4 ball pythons and owned a red tail before. Love your channel so far.

Awesome Vid as always
Thank you very much😊👍🏻
Nice video!
Thinking about getting one.
Thanks😊🙏🏻
Cool vid but one correction: Dumeril's belong to the genus Acranthophis, not the genus Boa.
@Bishop Zain Well, I give a damn, and apparently so did at least 4 other people. Also, do u work for InstaPortal👀 I lowkey wanna use it

ボールパイソンより模様は地味だけどかっこいい。こっちのほうが好きだ
Amazing stuff ❤️
Thanks! That's what I looking for 🥃🍻👍
I read somewhere that a 4 foot tank is suitable for a fully grown Dumerils Boa. Is this accurate?
That’s minimum sizing! For a truly happy life something bigger than a 4x2x2

Are there any known morphs (anywhere in the world)?
Hi there, apparently there is a Hypo morph Dumeril's Boa being bred. I personally don't know of any other morphs, thanks!
There are albinos

Hey, really cool video but can you please consider putting subs for people with hearing problems :)
