They show instantaneous speed for each boat, but it would be far better to show 2 or 5 second rolling average speed. The numbers jump around too much and don’t tell us much of anything. Really don’t need tenths of a knot, either. And finally, I’d also like to see 5 second rolling average cyclor wattage output from each boat. Would help us understand how hard they work during each phase and how it affects boat speed. 😊
Who cares about the wattage of a non sailor pedalling a hydraulic oil pump? It's like rooting for a battery, or cheering on the tension in a wire. Has absolutely nothing to do with sailing.
@@irtnyc I do. Just putting in my vote. And with the AC75, the cyclors have everything to do with sailing since it requires such a Herculean effort AND, as I’ve already explained, the skipper (big tough sailor guy) has to manage his resources in order to win, which includes a TON of non-human technologies such as computer programs, comms, and the weird articulating arms and wings and sails. So again, I care, and if comments here and elsewhere matter, a whole lot of other people agree. And to be clear, I’m not “rooting for” or “cheering” for cyclor wattage. I’m interested in how it contributes to the actual race. As such, it has EVERYTHING to do with sailing the AC75. Sir…
Ces engins sont fantastiques. si Éric T. Voyait ce que sont devenus les bateaux à foils !😮
Quand tu confies la barre à des amateurs...
Solid win for Americans . French were desperate today and really needed the win to hang around .
What happened to France? I thought early reports were that the French boat was very fast.
