As a Russian-New Zealand adoptee, adopted at the age of two from an orphanage in Arkhangelsk, Russia, I share what I've been learning on my journey with my upbringing here in New Zealand, my current life, and how I connected with my birth family. I also share what my bloodline means for me with those connections from Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

I had been taking a rest and a small break, so it's not a super long video this week. I had been able to spend some time to rest which has been good, and we do all need that sometimes but I am back into it all and I look forward to sharing more of my journey! I am an Orthodox, so is Russian Easter for me as well, loved the video, here in my place we do the same, going to church in the Easter evening to take light❤️
My trip to Russia was one amazing experience that I will never forget. I hope to return one day.

The church service was lovely, do you eat the cake afterward? How nice of Alexis to ask you to lead, what a beautiful memory! And Vera is baaaack!
This is so interesting - a side of Russia that we don’t see very often (if at all) in Western media.
The church brings back memories of attending Russian Orthodox Easter service in California of all places. With everyone leaving the church and walking around it. Also, Alex, if you listen to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, you will hill Russian Orthodox choir singing at the beginning.
This makes me want to go to Russia so bad😊 it looks beautiful there, the food looks 5 star to me hhhhh.. such an interesting place. Im a kiwi who lives in Aussie and my best friend is Russian 😊

We have similar market places in Israel as you have in Moscow - in Tel Aviv we have Sarona and in Jerusalem, we have Mahane Yehuda suq. It's formed the same way. Love those markets.

I really want to come to Russia especially in Moscow, however it still pandemic (NO Tourist visit yet in Russia) and the e-visa of Russia is not yet operational because of Pandemic. I would love to come there and see the beauty of Moscow and Russia as a whole.
That was a nice area and very interesting how it was transformed from an old train depot.

Absolutely love your videos. Keep making them. Did you know Russian is a slavic nation and there are 75 slavic tribes. I am half Croatian also slavic and similar to Russian

Is the GUM department store still around in Moscow?

@@TheRanaro its size is the same, but inside are mostly luxury brands boutiques.
