When you put yourself in other's shoes, you gain compassion. Compassion then becomes showing grace towards other. Supporting people where they are is the key.

Sasha, greetings from Toronto, Canada. I got to learn about you during the self-confinement lock down and had come to enjoy your videos and sympathize with your need to find your birth parents. I am thrilled to see that Mikael and family had embraced and genuinely welcome you as their lost family member. I can tell he loves you very much. I admire your maturity and decency from the fact that you seem to understand Tatiana’s feeling and unique circumstance without judging her and still care and love her deeply as best you can- for the sheer fact that she is your birth mother. You are kind, generous, loving and a decent young man. I congratulate your New Zealand parents for raising you that way. Do not neglect them even after you’d found Mikael and Tatiana. Just let your birth mother know that you love her deeply and unconditionally and will always be there for her when she needs you. You’ve probably done so already. Continue to be a long suffering buddy to Mikael for I know he needs you in that role (I can tell from watching your videos even if he never said that to you). Last, whomever is lucky and fortunate enough to love you and to have you as a life partner will be a blessed person.

Alex, I dont know if you realize this....but your Mother Tatiana most likely saved your life by getting you out of Russia and letting you be adopted. Human Traffiking is a huge issue, especially in Russia. Id be willing to bet your poor Mom saw or experienced the brutality of that reality in the 80's hence why she gave you your best chance. Ask your Father, as exmilitary he probably knows about that situation at the time. Russian gov has been fighting it for a long time, but they can only protect so many. So glad your Dad went with you. Good on you for not judging, only loving her. You both deserve peace and happiness. Be blessed.

Also, be grateful to your adoptive parents who gave you a good life. You have grown to be a wonderful and intelligent young man. Sasha I really enjoyed seeing the footage of you, Tatiana and M. I feel for her very much. Just put yourself in her shoes. You can never forget the child you give up for adoption, being a mother myself. She had a difficult life no doubt but she can still smile. She made the ultimate sacrifice, something which I could never do, death would be easier. She had to bury the pain for all those years, not knowing whether she would ever see you! She numbed it I guess but she loves you dearly and tries to cope with all the hardships and guilt. I empathise with her more so than most as I have a deep understanding as a mother of two. I cannot judge her as I was not in her shoes. She needs unconditional love most of all. People should respect her for being her own person and dancing to her own tune. You are a good solid son and she must be very proud of you. Much love to you all from South-Africa 🥰

I love how honest and open you are! That is so rare! You should come to America! My daughter goes to a specific private school for youngsters that are really advanced. There is only 8 kids from grade 1-6 and I think it’s hilarious that 7/8 kids are all part or all Russian! I love them singing happy birthday in Russian! We had exchange students from China this year to learn English and to teach them Chinese. I think it might be easier for your sister to do a study abroad program like that where someone could interrupt for her if she couldn’t ask it in any language other then Russian. My husband’s sister is adopted and I know she struggled a lot growing up. I even heard people ask her why she didn’t look like my mother in law which I found to be hurtful. Her mom cried when she asked to find her birth parents so she didn’t. I hope one day that changes before it’s to late. So much love to you. You are such a kind and warm person and it’s a pleasure getting to know you! Sending you and your beautiful family so much love!

How wonderful it is to have double the parents and able to love them all, I always wish parents would grant young children to love their step parents it’s takes so much pressure off the young mind, because children try to be loyal, not understanding that you can love your step parents without hurting your parents, it would make life so much more joyful for the child, parents and step parent

Great video Alex, thanks for sharing. I'm sure it was very overwhelming for your mother to meet and see you as well. It was evident from the photos that she was overjoyed to see you and that you turned out to be a great young man. I'm sure that even though it was difficult for your birth mother to give you up for adoption, it gives her joy to see that you are doing well and accomplishing so much with your life.

I am a filipino and i am so proud of your determination in finding your roots! Now that your mom is alone if you can make her happy for the rest of her life do it without. Bring her with you if it is possible. Sure she is lonely alone. If you can trace her siblings look for them make it happen for them to get acquainted.

This is an awesome vid bro. Your vids always hit me emotionally. I believe your father is right. Every child needs to connect with their birth mother. It's just amazing to see you connect with your birth parents and blood family. All the best on your journey.

Dear Alex ( Саша), its very important and difficult time for you. Meeting you biological mother especially. Even though there were 2 people involved, she was the one who carried you for 9 months and she made the decision to give you for adoption. No one can judge. Nobody. Only person who was in her shoes at that time. Also, remember, she was only ...what 18-19. Basically a kid herself.
I just watched few of your episodes and I got hooked up to the story. I'm russian myself. I'm a grown woman. I'm 55. Looking at your dad I'm feeling more close to his generation. Back in the day in the rural area of our huge country two people met. They had a connection. They had some plans, but something happened. Its an old wound possibly for both mom and dad. They never had a chance to talk about it. As long as I understand.
You grew up into a kind, very loving person with big heart. You are ready to hug whole world because you were lucky Misha and Tanya were ready to face their past.
I see you getting very attached to Tanya already. It can be explained. I'm not a psychologist to understand what's going on, I'm just a woman and mother.
I'd love you to get your answers if looking for them. Probably it would be easier if you learn russian, so you can talk to mom one on one. Everybody have the "skeletons in their clostes". You might never get your answer. Who knows?
If you make you mom happy its wonderful. Love moves everything. Love makes this world a better place. Now you have 2 moms and 2 dads.
I wish I could talk to you as mother or friend, or just russian 55 years old woman who knows something about russian people.
Please feel free to contact me. NO JUDGMENT. NO STRING ATTACHED.
Please, remember, you are loved by all those 4 people.
    P.S.
You said you were adopted with your brother Andrey. Is he your biological brother? I'm a bit confused.
Anyway, I'm glad I found you channel. Good luck in everything.

It’s really lovely to see your birth mother so happy when you visit her. some people have really hard life, and those who don’t have a hard life have no idea what it’s really like. Your mum did what she thought was best for you, and tbh realistically i think if she didn’t give you up for adoption, you’d have grown up in a very hard environment experiencing a very difficult life, especially in Russian in the 90’s. I left Russia in 95, and came to Uk in 97, I heard many of my class mates got involved in difficulties life. From what I understand many of not most towns/villages in Russia still have a very difficult life. Completely different from Moscow and St Petersburg. It was great to see your train journey too. I used to love going on the train in Russia when I was a child. Every time I went on the train, it was like an adventure, just being on the train. I’d certainly love to go again one day.

Your decision to not judge your birth Mother is a testament to your parents and your character.
Your birth Father's decision to travel with you is a testament to him and his responsibility to you.
    You're blessed...........
In order to make your next train journey slightly more comfortable, I'm in to purchase the 4th bunk as a donation to assist in the sleep pattern ))))))

Your bio father has a fathers heart..your bio mom..know doubt went through things when she was younger..that makes it hard for her to show her feelings..a mother that gives her child up...and puts her child in an orphanage....knowing how she felt being in one...???..It's a certain personnality that can do such a thing...Then there are those that were forced by parents to give up a child thats one thing...Again that could be why she drank...who knows..but what a wonderful dad you have...I hope your bio father with his family moves to New Zealand...to be close to you...it would be a wonderful life for your little sister ..a better life for all...I for one would give money toward a fund to help get his family established for a better life...

I just watched a Russian TV Show where you and all your parents in too... But one made me sad, I don't understand because no subtitles but I saw the audience seems blaming and angry to your birth mom because she refused your gift at the first met, It made me so sad and angry, they judge her but they don't really know whats going through in her life... I am crying seeing that...

being in that country, I mean Russia to make a passport much faster and easier. Especially since your parents live in Russia. They all know about it, just need your desire and consent. the process will take 2 weeks, maybe even earlier if your parents submit documents about you. The sooner they submit a request for you, the faster they will make a passport

Look, God knows what your birth mother went through herself. Life and people may have failed her so she may never have learned how to be nurturing and responsive to the needs of a child.
Just go with whatever feels comfortable for you, mate. It's all good and there's only so much you can do

How it happened that they made you... seems like your parents had less or more serious relationdhips as your mom knew dad's address. Anyway she was beautiful when young...you have to give her money for dentist... she will be smiling more...but you should take her there and pay, because if not, she will drink the money. She is a wonderful woman.

Your mum's reaction was much better this time. You are a wonderful son to her, there is sparkle in her eyes because of you. She may be both happy and sad to leave you, so you have a good life. I wish you could take her for a holiday even in Russia outside her town and you spend more time with her. Love your care for her without any judging.
