One of the greatest achievements in the symphonic repertoire, ever. A pinnacle of thematic development and a showcase of mesmerizingly striking harmonic landscape, this symphony conquers the listener’s mind with its exceptionally crafted and, at the same time, perfectly sincere and accessible themes; and one’s heart, with the universal intensity of the emotional climaxes these genuinely pure musical expressions build up to. A display of perfect coherence of musical subjects that form an absolute integrity of the whole, reflecting the immeasurable and seemingly inconceivable controversy, duality, variety and extremes of both the world and the human condition from the perspective of unparalleled sublimation, inspiration, and existential confidence. Incredible.

Dvorak’s 7th, 8th, and 9th symphonies are a threepeat on par with the 1996-1998 Chicago Bulls.

It is a pity that D's symphonies are not more known. All we hear is the New World symphony and this is certainly not the best of them.
