Thank you Miriam! I have so much still to do here. But it's coming together nicely now. Then to finish the Grapevine Garden. Which is coming along nicely too ❤️🥰
Well I must say looking back you have accomplished absolutely tons and it looks fantastic. Those raised beds make all the difference in the look of the “garden”. Have a stupendous week Benny keep,up the great work, Jackie 💕💕🇨🇦
Danny….those beds look fantastic! They are going to look a treat once the season is in full swing! Fig and Olive plot really taking shape now….you’ve done so well…..great work ! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼Will 🌻
Great video, as always. Those new beds are brilliant, you are right, perfect for wheelchair users or people with back problems. I will have to check them out. Everything is growing beautifully! Those plants know they are loved! 😄👍🌸
Superb job mate. Particularly liked your circular with obelisk👍🏻. For the brassica hoop one…. Try getting a slightly larger net and the secure it using a bungee around the bed. Nice one 👍🏻👍🏻
As always a great video, just not long enough. 😂😂👨🌾👨🌾 Massive fan of the welsh accent, i used to count how many times you said ‘here’ it’s a favourite but i think ‘cloche’ comes a close second. Have a lovely day ! 🥬🥬🫑🫑🍅🍅🥕🥕🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺
Haha! Sundays video will be much longer. The Wednesday ones can sometimes be little updates, etc. 😊 but not always. Haha I've never thought about me saying "ere" and "cloche" haha!
Thanks Lorraine. I'm really pleased with them tbh! Took some filling but it did me a favour as I needed to flatten that area at the back and dig out the pond. It was a lovely day at Malvern. I may have caught the sun 😂😂 maybe...
@TheGrapevineGarden Terry got some too, I'm thrilled for ye, well deserved. Its your back, I thought nice easy height for you. Oh i was thinking, great way to get rid of some of the areas you are clearing. Delighted ye all caught up at Malvern, whoops hope not too painful post sun.
Yeah I did see! It was his video that reminded me to build them! They were cluttering the dining room for a while haha I always brown after 2 days. So I'm lovely and tanned now. 😅
They all look fantastic. That nasturtium bed is going to be bursting with color this summer! My beds are 15" high, except for two 4x8 beds that are 32" high. They are work to fill, but the height is wonderful. I see you emptied a few bags of that poo you've been hoarding. 👍🤣
Thank you! I do love them! They did take some filling but luckily I had the soil at the back. Yes 😂 and it's a good job you couldn't hear me making vomit noises when I opened those bags 🤢🤢😂 Duck manure is not pretty! Haha!
I'm sorry Danny but I have a HUGE problem with your video's, THEY ARE JUST NOT LONG ENOUGH, I could watch you all day. Your garden is looking so amazing. How lucky you are to get those raised beds, they knew you would put them to good use.
HAHAHAHA omg mu anxiety went through the roof as ll I seen was the first part of the comment 😂😂 I am sorry! It was only meant to be a short video! Sunday I promise to make longer okay haha if you're ever in South Wales. You are very much welcome 😊 Danny 🌱
The problem and real cost of raised beds is filling them! I used to have timber, but that’s now expensive if you have to buy it. My solution is old metal filing cabinets. Often free or very cheap. Put on their backs plenty of holes in the base. Have also scavenged some old galvanised (and plastic) water tanks when houses have had loft extensions and have ripped out the old loft tanks. Lidl have 65 litre plastic buckets - I think for £7 - described as plaster mixing tubs. Again a few holes and you have a decent sized planter. Then it’s finding that compost!
Great ideas Andrew! I was very very lucky that this plot had an old compost heap full of compost and a coal metal store that was half full of well rotted sawdust/bedding. So I was very lucky mine were filled easily. Plus I dug out the pond area so had top soil... but I remember filling the grapevine garden beds and boy did that cost me a small fortune!
This video is pure inspiration! Can't wait to implement these tips in my own garden
Ahh thank you so much! Keep growing! Danny 🌱

Blimey Danny, how did you manage to fill all those beds? They look great, how long do they last for? Take care 😊
I was so so lucky I had homemade compost, soil from the pond I've dug out and well rotted manure. It took a lot but glad they are done. 😊😊🌱
I enjoyed the video, sir, I hope it's useful 👍
