If a Murican company makes something good for a good price, I might buy it. If not, I would rather buy a Mazda instead of some shitbox that should have gone the way of Packard in about 1973.
Hercules cordless tools are amazing. Stubby air ratchets are amazing. The $80 1/2" impact last years but oiling is required. The double ended low profile swivel ratchet is handy but I own two because of how much it breaks. 36 grit flap disks are my first choice for prepping rotors for resurfacing, torque sticks, scan tool with abs, stethoscope, a Ames multimeter, I use swivel sockets on brakes every day, towing/trailer accessories are great, chains, ratchet straps, air hoses, fittings, air compressors, trim removal tools are stiff surprisingly, multi use ladder, green chisel/punch set, master ball joint press adapters (I bought the press from atd on Ebay cuz hfs sucked), tons more stuff I own and love
I think a great idea would be 5 tools I would like to see Harbor Freight make.I know they watch these videos on TH-cam and sometimes the input pays off .I know I would like to see a long and and extra long 1/4 inch breaker bar ,a digital torque wrench, a decent set of long stainless hex wrenches, an air pulse detailing tool, and lastly a heat induction tool.
For the gear heads who watch "Full Custom Garage", you'll see Ian using a lot of HF tools. Considering what he's worth, if it's good enough for him, I'll also use them.
Ian is a master, man knows his stuff. Use to watch him on Trucks. He sure knew how to work with tubing and pioes, could build a custom roll cage before most of us could figure out how it should look.
I have HF impacts and Snap On impacts, and I go to the HF more than I do the Snap On. I also have the 54" tool box with the top box, 4 years old and still like new. I see you smashed the pinky nail on your right hand, I feel your pain. LOL Good review brotherman.
The older version of stubby Pittsburgh ratchets have given me extreme service over last 10 yrs, have never failed on me. I use 2 ft pipes on it constantly with no ill effects. The newer stubbies are wimpy.
I love ❤️ harbor freight. I know this may sound corny but every time I walk into one I feel like a kid when I use to walk into a major toy store 😂I have both 25 inch 1/2 inch breaker bars. I paid $14.99 for the pro version you featured in your video with coupon and $8.99 with coupon for the non comfort grip version. I was at HF yesterday and picked up a set of insulated screwdrivers the only ones they carry (pack of 7) 3 Phillips and 4 flat heads. I paid after taxes and a 20% discount coupon $8.52 and I have to admit I’m very impressed with the feel and quality of the screwdrivers. They are made in Taiwan. The only problem is that they are advertised on the packaging as having magnetic tips.i did not purchase these because of the tips, that is not important to me because if I ever need that feature on my drivers I have i high end MAGNETIZER /DEMAGNETIZER for that purpose, 3 out of 7 drivers have working magnetic tips. Other than that they are very well made the grips are rubberized very well textured for great grip if your hands happen to be dirty or greasy (which they shouldn’t especially when working on electrical components) I’m looking forward to purchasing their precision insulated version of these screwdrivers and the Quinn insulated electricians pliers set. I’m just a DIY’er and tool collector I also love their Pittsburgh pro ratchets. I pretty much love all of harbor freights hand tools and their lifetime warranty. But based on many hands on reviews I’ve seen here I really would not purchase any of their power tools. Thanks 🙏 for the video.
I love Harbor Freight but dislike certain things about them. I can relate to your feeling of walking around the store however and I am sure many prople feel the same way. Thanks for sharing and watching brother I really appreciate it.

The Harbor Freight toolboxes now have repair parts available.
Not sure if you wanna consider it a tool or not, but the quantum lights I got a little 65 lumens and a big 3d 500+ lumens and damn I'm surprised the quality and the brightness, the big flashlight shines across my field like nothing and its like 300+ yards see across it like daylight. The little 65 lumens I carry it and forgot it was in my pocket its so small but its very bright for the size
i think the impact sockets from HFT are just as good as any tool maker out there hands down i have both deep and shallow both 1/2 and 3/8 drive and ext in both drives
I don’t have the Daytona jack but I have seen nothing but good things about it. Also never used the Vulcan gloves but I really like the cheap pair of Lincoln’s I have been using and they are pretty darn good. I have used the cheaper brand of their welding gloves and I don’t care for them much. Everything else is spot on! I’m not a pro but I use these tools all the time. I love them. If you did like a top 10 would the Pittsburg Pro Low Profile Ratchets with the comfort grip handles make your list? I have a few socket sets and have purchased all the Pittsburg Pro ratchets and I skip the ones that come with the kits and use those pretty much exclusively because they are so much better! Good teeth count and nice handle with good length for leverage!
Another great video. Great review. I like that it's not in theory, but about tools you actually use. It's easy for you to prove it by showing pictures, and not using stock photos from the corporate website. Discussing how you used products in a "real job" helps, too. Keep up the great work!
the only thing i've ever got from HF that i didn't like was the 3/8 17" breaker bar. i broke 2 of em. everything else has been great. they swapped those out no questions asked but still, it's pretty annoying when you're trying to get something done. i think alot of people go there and forget to manage their expectations. not everything at HF is a diamond for dirt prices. the things that are though, wow.
these are the kind of videos I like...too many tool snobs always bashing HFT. Yes, there are a lot of junk tools there, but there's also a lot of good ones too...There's a reason there are so many of those stores around and always a bunch of people in them...keep up the good vids!
Do you think the yellow Daytona is worth the price premium over the Pittsburgh? $79 vs $179 for less than weekend warrior use. If the 20’ height is good enough for me, is there a reason to spend the extra $100 if it’s much better
I think the daytona is an excellent jack but just to use around the house and here and there i would just get the pittsburgh if money is an issue but with that being said if i had the money i would choose the daytona. The pittsburgh jack will do just fine though brother.
I don't know how much welding you do. I weld for a living and I use those Vulcan gloves. They're great for the price. I always have a brand new pair at home ready to go. I prefer them over my Radnor gloves because they're thinner and you can work with them on which you can't do with some of the other welding gloves out there. The price is right as well. That said, I don't know what type of work you do that you got 14 months and counting out of a pair but I've gone through about 4 pairs in the last year. They're good, don't get me wrong, I obviously keep buying them but I don't know of a glove that lasts 14 months. As for the other stuff you mentioned that I have experience with...the breaker bars are solid. I beat the shit out of mine and it was well the $8 (I think) I paid for it with coupon and it has a lifetime warranty. Same for their impact sockets, I completely agree. They are just as good as any other brand and they are priced well below any other option. They also have a lifetime warranty. I have about 4-5 Harbor Freights that are 10-15 minutes away from me so warranty is not an issue.
Thanks for sharing that man. I don't use the Vulcan gloves everyday and I don't do much welding which is why I recommended them for cutting and torching gloves. I have used them quite extensively however mostly for acetylene torching and i repair and rebuild machines for a steel mill. I have had to use them for weeks straight, all day long torching, however. Cutting breakout out of these machines when the mold breaks and its not something that I do everyday all day but when it does happen it's not fun lol. I have used these gloves a lot and the pair i have has lasted me that long. I appreciate you commenting and watching!
Now the breaker bar I have bent . But everything is very good tool. Now snap on and Mack I would have said 15 years ago where better. But now not sure way they just drop off across the board !
I would not agree just for the standpoint of they do not slide as nice as channel lock brand and I mostly find those for the same price around here. I would not call them trash just think a good priced better tool is available.
@@AntonioClaudioMichael here we have a chemical plant that almost throws away a pair of channel locks after each use. We have a store that sells them cheap I guess that might not be every place.

I've been in kind of a forced retirement for 4-1/2 years now due to fighting stage 3 lung cancer. I WON, I BEAT the cancer just not the chemo and radiation. I was an industrial hydraulics technician for 16 years before that, built serious hydraulic machinery for the offshore oil & gas industry. A good amount of the hand tools in my shop box was harbor freight and I am the type that don't mind abusing tools..... Yeah, I broke some but couldn't blame it on harbor freight. Now I have a small wood craft shop in my back yard. Do alright, it keeps me active... I've got an 8X12 mini wood lathe, a 10X18 wood lathe, the 1"X30" belt sander, a 5 speed bench top drill press, planer and several power hand tools all from harbor freight. In the 3-1/2 years I've been working the wood shop the only thing I've had to repair was to replace the headstock spindle bearings on the little lathe and while I was at it I went ahead and replaced the belt although it didn't need it. That repair cost me a total of under 15.00, not bad since that little lathe that I paid 96.00 for with the 25%coupon has made me in excess of $2000. With in the next month I''ll be adding the oscillating spindle sander. I'd buy from harbor freight anytime I needed something and they have it. Just wish they sold a precision mini table saw, I looking at either the proxxon or the Micro Lux precision saws. Priced at 350 to 400 dollars each. The little mini table saw harbor freight sells is not powerful or acurate enough, I know, I have one of them too although it rips thin stock,(1/8" material) pertty good.

Gonna upgrade to the Hercules and Earthquake XT cordless.
I own Pittsburgh 4ton jack and also 3 Daytona 4ton Jack's I love them all they work amazing
Lol I am always smashing my hands and fingers.
I got quite a few harbor freight tools that i use everyday i have no problem with them at all.
Totally agree on the gloves. Fit AND feel better than the "name brand" from tractor supply.
Awesome video man this channel is really good. You should have 100k subscribers and you will.
The older version of stubby Pittsburgh ratchets have given me extreme service over last 10 yrs, have never failed on me. I use 2 ft pipes on it constantly with no ill effects. The newer stubbies are wimpy.
Good honest review 👍🏻 thank you brother
Kind of like when you walked into a RadioShack back in the day
@@MajorWeakness see the ChrisFix videos about tools. Like all shopping, it is best to shop around and get things from many different stores, also better for your area's economy, especially compared to ordering everything from Amazon, if you want our future to be huge warehouses full of robots instead of middle class workers. The Harbor Freight toolboxes now have repair parts available.
I love that breaker bar!
It is really good.
I have their parts washer and it really works well for me.
I have that too and it works good
Great video man and a great selection
Thanks Howard
All good picks, good job on the video.
Thanks a lot brother I really appreciate it
Not sure if you wanna consider it a tool or not, but the quantum lights I got a little 65 lumens and a big 3d 500+ lumens and damn I'm surprised the quality and the brightness, the big flashlight shines across my field like nothing and its like 300+ yards see across it like daylight. The little 65 lumens I carry it and forgot it was in my pocket its so small but its very bright for the size
They could most definitely be considered. Especially when i paid 175 dollars for a stream light and they are good but way too expensive.
i think the impact sockets from HFT are just as good as any tool maker out there hands down i have both deep and shallow both 1/2 and 3/8 drive and ext in both drives
They are good ratchets but there is something i dont like about them. I am going to do a video similar to that soon so i hope you check it out.
Redemption Garage Cool I’ll sub!
Another great video. Great review. I like that it's not in theory, but about tools you actually use. It's easy for you to prove it by showing pictures, and not using stock photos from the corporate website. Discussing how you used products in a "real job" helps, too. Keep up the great work!
Thanks a lot man i really appreciate you watching and commenting on all of my videos.
Tool cart, 1/2 drive impact sockets and 3/8 flex head ratchet....all from Harbor Freight. In my opinion you cannot find a better value. Great video!
the only thing i've ever got from HF that i didn't like was the 3/8 17" breaker bar. i broke 2 of em. everything else has been great. they swapped those out no questions asked but still, it's pretty annoying when you're trying to get something done. i think alot of people go there and forget to manage their expectations. not everything at HF is a diamond for dirt prices. the things that are though, wow.
I agree man!
if you broke a 3/8" breaker bar then it most likely a job you should have used 1/2" drive on anyway
@@funbricknj agreed, but it was a tight spot. Shouldn't have been anything
Bought the yellow Daytona jack last Dec. and it is a beast.
I have an orange one. I totally agree fricken awesome. Got it on sale or with a 20% off coupon got an amazing deal 👍👍
Their ICON snap ring pliers are great. Always hated anything snap ring before those
I have never tried them but they look really nice. Thanks for the recommendation Jason.
I’m with you on these one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I appreciate you watching brother!
I love your habor freight videos...keep your videos coming about good and bad tools my brother you do a awesome job
I really appreciate that.
I want to try their swivel impacts
They are good to go. No worries at all.
Agreed. HF is really stepping up their tools.
Great video. Definitely interested in more like this as well
I'll keep that in mind brother.
I agree!
I have a ton of harbor freights Pittsburg impact sockets and extensions are amazing
Love your sweater!
Thanks man i love it too
these are the kind of videos I like...too many tool snobs always bashing HFT. Yes, there are a lot of junk tools there, but there's also a lot of good ones too...There's a reason there are so many of those stores around and always a bunch of people in them...keep up the good vids!
I have the blue 44in works great. Just wish it had at least 1 deep drawer!
Just use a block of wood
we don't have a harbor freight up here in Alaska so could care tfl, where do I get one or two of those hoodies from?
Hopefully I can have access to them soon man and i will let you know
Excellent stuff dude.
I have the series-1 44 inch top and bottom, and it's great. Great video!
Great video & insights I gotta up my tool game so this was helpful
Very informative brother!
I appreciate that!
Now the breaker bar I have bent . But everything is very good tool. Now snap on and Mack I would have said 15 years ago where better. But now not sure way they just drop off across the board !
Man you must have put some force on it because i have had a 4 ft pipe on mine jumping and it's held tough lol. Thanks for your input I appreciate it.
In my area channel lock 8 inch tounge and groove pliers are 60 bucks most places channel lock online is cheaper then that
Yeah you can get them much cheaper than that online
I have the gloves and the breaker bar are also great I agree
I think you should add there channel lock and regular pliers and screw drivers to this list brother
Most definitely could.
I would not agree just for the standpoint of they do not slide as nice as channel lock brand and I mostly find those for the same price around here. I would not call them trash just think a good priced better tool is available.
@@BuiltOverBot aaw channel lock is expensive were I am always 15 to 20 dollers more expensive
@@AntonioClaudioMichael here we have a chemical plant that almost throws away a pair of channel locks after each use. We have a store that sells them cheap I guess that might not be every place.
@@BuiltOverBot got ya Robert
Curious - because theres no Harbour Freight here.
Are those sockets Chrome Moly? I have an old set i bought there a bunch of years ago (they came in a metal box) but i think theyre just chrome vanadium???
They are chrome vanadium i believe
They are Chrome molybdenum.
they sell both
The impact sockets are good
Awesome video and list man
That's a badass sweater
It's my favorite hoodie. Thanks for watching John.
I swear by thier breaker and torque bars.
Won't swear by it but i used the reciprocating saw for EVERYTHING even cutting down trees and cutting metal.
Like the hoodie where can I get it
I hate when you click on a picture of the tool and just a guy talking about the picture and never even bought the thing. To many TH-cam reviews of that crap now
I agree man.
@@RedemptionGarage I told some other guy who does that not to put a picture of a tool then just show you're face down in the corner of picture just talking about the tool and he dont even own it. He said him and his buddy's all sit around and talk about it.
Good vid, are you from Pittsburgh...?
Thanks brother. No man I am from Ohio.
Ha, ok close enough I guess. Thought I recognized the accent, was hoping you were in the burg as I'm looking for a decent mechanic.
Thanks for the video. :)
That's a great story James and congratulations. We can never stop fighting I have lost loved ones to cancer and it's truly an ugly part of life. My aunt is currently fighting this same fight and this has truly touched me. I am glad you stopped by and shared your experience and story just reading that has put things back in focus for me this morning.
@@RedemptionGarage If you don't mind, I'm adding your aunt to my prayer list. Cancer is a horrible thing and I feel for all affected. Like you I've lost several family and friends to cancer and it never gets easier. The best I know is to make sure your aunt keeps a POSITIVE outlook, it does help alot in the battle. I pray for the day this disease in wipe out so no more have to face it. Thank you for your reply and thoughts
Great video, what do you think of there new torque wrenches
I havent had the chance to check them out yet but i have heard good things.
I might go pick one up,I need to torque my balancer bolt down so that should really test it
@@Stevehevessy i would say it will work fine but just off the top of my head i have a couple of concerns: first it costs 100 dollars roughly and i am certain it will wotk fine but after a while they need to be calibrated again and i am not sure how you could go about doing that so 100 may be expensive to only be able to use a few times comfortably. A cheaper alternative may be the tekton 1/2 torque wrench amzn.to/2EgEoe8
It's only 38 dollars will work for what you need it for and will have the same problems i mentioned above but a little easier on the wallet lol. They do look nice though and i wouldnt blame you to go either way man.
I actually have the tekton i just used it to torque some head bolts and it works good it only goes to 150 ft lbs though and I need to torque the balance bolt to 240 ft lbs
I think it will work good and they actually look a lot like the snap on torque wrench I have the snap on torque wrench but the icon may be the way to go i need to check them out before i can really give you a definitive answer but from what i have heard i think they may be really good
Lol...standing on your breaker bar, thats funny, I could see you then, the breaker bar at 12 oclock, ballancing on one foot looool
The only tools Id swear by, one HF discontinued, a deburning kit & A didgital plastic 12" calper.. The old, old sets of wrench's I still use.. A really old 1/2" wratchet breaker bar.. A Table drill press lol
Good picks
Thanks brother.
Look at this fuckin ass hole!
I love Knipex Water pomp Pliers made In germany dhe Best ever made
Knipex are my favorite pliers by far
I have a daytona jack, 20 ton press, welding magnets, wire brushes, tape measures, nitrile gloves, i have a 3/8 in drive breaker bar my bro got me after he broke the snapon my grandpa willed to me
I have a arcan low profile jack should have gotten the daytona one. I do have alot of harbor freight stuff and for the money can be beat . Im retierd with limited income
I have never tried an arcan. Not sure if i have ever heard of them.
Breaker bar is worth it's money in gold.
I run allot of the impact sockets.. heavy use. For over 6 year
Wtf does it keep flashing back to that black AR15 thing? Wonderful editing.
Did you hear about the lawsuit by snap on against the Daytona jacks
Actually I did and snap on lost lol.
@@RedemptionGarage yeah they lost big time
Snap On also admitted they made the jacks in china in the lawsuit LOL
@@BuiltOverBot yep
One problem with the impact sockets, they skip key sizes and you can't buy single ones.
Lifetime guarantee goes a long way.
Real Tool Reviews did an excellent review on the breaker bar. Basically proving the truck brands are a waste of money.
You're right on the impact sockets!!! We have a half dozen sets, some are twenty plus years old.. damaged a few, but easy fix, just Chuck it up in the lathe and make it a little shorter😎
I recently picked up the better of the two 3/4" cordless impact wrenches they carry... The Earthquake, I've only used it about a dozen times so far... So far, I like it!!! Actually performs better than expected!!
Thanks for sharing and your TIME... I'd buy/drink a beer/bs with you anytime.
I would be down to have a drink for sure!
Have you done a video on the
good tools HF "sells" that you
should NOT "buy?"
#1 on that list is the 4 way (6
really) screwdriver. 5 and 6,
pull the bits out, and use the
holder on hose clamps.
There a BUNCH more, the 25
foot tape measure comes to
mind.
steve
No I haven't but I was actually thinking about that the other day so it's most definitely on the to do list. Thanks for the idea though Steve I appreciate it.
That Earthquake impact is good to.
Inside track club is a joke. Just download HF app and watch prices. The quantum lights that go on your head are amazing and are$10 with coupon.
@@rorythornton9694 Go to www.hfqpdb.com on your phone. There is no app for Iphones that I am aware of.
There ball swivel sockets are good to.
I love the breaker bar , and have the same DJ3000 Jack + the same socket set.......I just picked up the magnetic socket holders for 1/2 and 3/8 that can hold it almost full on the side of your box. They are kinda spendy for socket holders , at 20$ each w/coup. Nice vid , and since I have 3 of your top 5 tools , and know they are quality. I now will subscribe your channel , because I know your not full of shit.......Peace (QUADS)
Good for you buddy! Glad you like you harbor freight tools. The lifetime warranty has changed to 90 days. 😉
All harbor freight tools are not good but these are. And i think you're mistaken the warranty on handtools are lifetime. But if you watch my video about why i wouldnt purchase a cordless tool from harbor freight i think you would like it. There are some tools that you dont need to spend 300 dollars on imo. Thanks for watching 😉
Yeah lifetime on all hand tools and everything else 90 days. Can buy extended warranty plans for a lot too
Yeah his out there with the 100,000 times. on that impact socket
It may seem like a lot but trust me there have been days where i have had to crack open and tighten back bolts close to a thousand times to shim rolls and over the years it has added up. Appreciate you watching Vic.
The H.F. air compressors are really good quality.
I have heard good things about them but haven't used one. I definitely need to check it out
Coolant pressure tester sucked
