In order to never be without your coupons is to take a picture of them. Everyone gets the coupons from the paper and some magazines sometimes they last for months well if you take the coupon in they take the coupon and keep it so you can only use it once but if you take a picture of it then you can use it over and over because you have it until it expires.

Tony... Thanks for the comment. Yes... their Pittsburg hand tools do have a lifetime guarantee. I broke a 3/4" drive adapter taking the front wheel off my stepvan with a breaker bar, a pipe, and a hydraulic jack and they replaced it on the spot.

Don't forget the Inside Track Club !!! It's $29 a year and I save well over $200 more a year with it. You get a special Inside Track sale catalogue inside the regular monthly catalogue and many of the same items are are in the Inside Track section at $10 to $20 less than the regular sale price. I wait until certain items that I want to be on Inside Track discount to buy them. The day I signed up I saved $85.
I was a member for a couple of years. I stopped being a member because the stuff I was hoping they would put in the inside Track sale catalogue, they would never put in. And taking the member cost in consideration, in comparison to prices during the parking lot sales or 20% off coupons, it really wasn't worth it for me. It might be worth it if you need to buy a lot of stuff throughout the year.
How much did you pay for the centech 3-1 ? My dad was a master mechanic for over 45 years and had over 3 big tool box full of most craftsman tools some matco and snap on. he passed away a few months ago I got all his tools . I live about 90 miles up from NYC in a small town . We have to drive 45 min to harbor freight. I had to take his broken craftsman tools to sears but it closed so I had to drive 30 min more. The replacements were not as good as the old ones some of the broken ones were over 80 years old. Some of the replacements were made in China . When ever I do go by Harbor freight I get the free stuff . I had to take the whole family to get 5 free tarps as a tree fell on my van and broke windows out of my house . The tarps are just the right size for that sort of thing
The trick with HF is to research and understand what you're buying. They have some very nice tools, sold under Pittsburgh pro, some other gems, but the vast majority of the stuff is trash. If they offer a high-end version of whatever you're looking for, changes are it's pretty good; if no it's trash. I've had nothing but the best experiences there, and your advices is perfect. Space out the shops to use 20-25% off and get the freebe. NICE VIDEO!

Dude just take a picture with your phone and show it to the cashier they can scan the coupon without having to type in manually. You are more likely to have your phone on your than a paper coupon.
Thanks for the great video! Just a note, I buy many of their tools but typically buy consumables elsewhere. Decent blades or staples, etc can make a huge difference in your experience with an economical tool and I've found that HF's consumables are not that good. The price difference between their consumables and the competition is much smaller than the price difference between their tools and the competition; so I buy better quality consumables from the competition and have great results with HF's tools.
I was never aware of the 30 day grace period. Too bad it doesn't cover both 30 days before and after the purchase. Nice video! Remember everyone there is an HF app with coupons loaded on it too!
The one thing I found out you can only use 1 coupon a day. They go by your phone number. Also read the fine print in the coupon not everything can be used with the coupon.

Another good tip is to search online for printable coupons, because a larger variety of "free with any purchase" items are available! Meanwhile, 2-in-3 of the free flashlights will fail in a few-months time! I use couponshy - formerly dealsoff - and HFT-coupondatabase, but there are many others....
or nvm them scanning the coupon and reusing, which works but take a picture with your phone and as long as its not expired ans they can read the barcode on your phone your good. So if you dont have a coupon and see a hf junkie with all kinds of coupons ask to see one of his and take a photo with your smartphone,... damn I shud have made a video with that idea!!
The clock on the wall.... I found a power supply for the led lights and they still work. The clock however sadly does not. I may actually strip the guts from a working clock and make it work again. Was a gift from my Niece many years ago.
At my store I can write the coupon number down and they enter it. Easier than printing them off. Don't forget to sign up for emails too. You get coupons there too. Their extended warranty is inexpensive and worth it. They will send you an email with your receipt in it as well as keeping your purchases on their computer if you are signed up at the store.
There's also an app available. For the free stuff, some is decent, some is crap. The blue lights and the magnetic tool holder things are great. Those little flashlights are garbage. I've never had one work more than 1 or 2 times, so for me it's not worth it to get those.
I was with you until you said some of the harbor freight tools compare with the "yellow" tools.. as in dewalt. I've spent over a grand at harbor freight just this year. I haven't seen one tool in the store that would compare with a Dewalt.
I agree with you in comparing DeWalt to Harbor Freight. I think what I said was I have tossed out blue ones and yellow ones and so far one harbor freight one. My point is none are bullet proof. When I toss out a yellow one, its $100.00 when I toss a Harbor Freight it $10.00. I have another Yellow one that the cord went to heck, the entire length is rotten, maybe gas or oil go on it, but it should take that... Do I repair it or toss it... Maybe fix it later. Lol your town didn't have a Harbor Freight and you had to drive a whole 30 minutes to the closest store? You must be in Arkansas or one of the "I" states. In California two or three miles can be a 30 minute drive.
