- The silver is going up and it's steady coming in. This week we spend some big money. First, we go to a yard sale where we buy some items we spend hundreds on and at minimum we will double maybe triple our money quick and easy. Next is where the big money is, a guy comes in with his entire silver collection and wants to off load all. With silver on the rise he wants a premium and we haggle to try to get a deal done. This shop treated me well... i was happy going in and happy coming out... that dewalt bag was much lighter walking out... all in all... i was very happy
You took over a grand loss.. generic is the only thing I understand getting spot for… ASE and other govt minted products should be sold for over spot

He didn’t get robbed. Every silver stacker understands that metals are a long term hold. You buy it today at a premium. If you have to sell it unexpectedly, you’re not going to get that premium back.
It’s not supposed to be a short term investment.
Pawn shop got the best deal, poor guy took a huge loss on that deal

There is now way the Pawn shop would pay spot or more for those coins. Burned himself for a few grand $$$$.

I’m stacking gold and silver. Freaking gold is insane at $2234 today (3/29/2024). Most of mine was bought decades ago. Still hanging onto it for security reasons. That fiat money will crash one day. Be prepared people.

The whole system is a house of cards. Unmanageable debt, excessive printing of worthless currency. I don’t blame you brother you may become the richest man in the world. I always wondered how the ancients came to value gold so highly.

Nice deal on that silver!! Most pawn shops don’t work with the consumer. They offer melt mostly and say take it or leave it. At least that’s what they have told me in my area.

Ron Desantis signed into law that when buying Numismatics and bullion shops can sell it immediately. There's no 15 or 30 day downtime anymore.
I cannot find where that applies to pawn shops. If you can find it somewhere please let us know. Was it a blanket law that applies to everyone? Thanks
@@PawnBrokerPickers I thought eagles were considered currency. So technically there's no holding period on them you basically traded paper dollars for silver dollars. Not sure about the other silver.
On silver backed by a government mint there are two different value methodologies 1. The weight by Troy oz plus spot acquire and or the actual face value as assigned by the government mint. This can work either to an owners advantage and in the inheritance of government silver. Felt bad that the guy looked like her recently acquired it and probably took a loss. Keep up the ex😊paining as you walk along !

I didn't know there was a waiting period to sell it. I've never purchased from the mint. I'm interested in bullion, spot value, not really into collectable Metal coins because, if there comes a time when the dollar dies people will be broke and collectable value will be much less. All people will be interested in is paying regular expenses, not hobby collectables...

I make more than this off .925 silver custom jewelry. You have to be strategic when it comes to collecting/stacking silver rounds and coins, because they don't skyrocket in value as Gold does. We'll be lucky to see it reach 50-100 within the next decade. I only purchase Silver coins utilizing profits from custom sterling silver pendants, so basically they are free for me. People pay more for pendants, because they are customized to their liking.

Gold and Silver may be very expensive right now, but it still makes sense to keep buying. Its a nice inflation hedge and insurance policy against Fiat Currency. ❤🎉

Cool video, it would be cool see a longer video maybe 2 parts on a full day of pawn from buying guns, bullion, jewelry and what ever else you buy and sell, so we could all see your day to day in all aspects. I know you already do a version of that, but it would interesting to see everything that comes in the shop.

I think the price was pretty fair for a pawn shop. Dont forget that the guy in the shop have bills to pay and also need to make a living.
The old guy maybe needed the cash quickly. Sure you can sell them for more online but it can be a hassle specially considering that amount.
I know coin shops / PM Dealers etc dont pay the best but the safety and convenience is good !

Cool video as usual… that was a good buy. You know there is nothing wrong with paying what someone asks. I’m sure most people who complain about you getting a good deal like that wouldn’t complain about getting a good deal at a yard sale…. That’s what people go to yard sales for!!😂.

Awesome purchase of ASE and other stacked coins, I did the same for years buying tubes, but the premium was getting too much. Now I just buy 200 ounce sealed bucket of fine silver shot, cheaper than coinage. Ya' just stack the buckets in the safe!
Even thou you don't deal much with Silver it is smart to do so and track a lot more people to your store and get better known! Days when things are slow I would rather make a little money on the silver than nothing right!

Nice to see a pawn shop offering a real number. My local pawn shop told me they're paying 22/oz last week. That was $3 back of spot I asked. Then they have it for sale at $38 bux for a 1oz buffalo $40 for ASE's
