Nice! Yes, we like having the awning on Basil. Is yours a drive-away awning? That’s something we’ve thought about, but end up talking ourselves out of.
Awesome….We love Norfolk too (and will definitely be back). We haven’t tried wild camping yet, I guess we’re a bit scared we’d get “the knock” and told to jog on. Basil isn’t the most stealthy of campers 😂 Do you have any tips? We have done a few BritStops in the past though. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻

Hi….thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for subscribing. The TV cable we bought in Argos, whilst we away somewhere. We got 10 meters (because the 15 meters wasn’t in stock, but 10 meters has been fine). It’s listed on the Argos website as ‘10m Aerial Extension Lead - White’
Nice trip, you are having a great time travelling around the UK in your Van. Can I ask a question? I have been thinking about one of these autosleepers but have been worried about chassis rust. These vans are all very old now and pretty much all of them are going to have or have had some sort of underbelly rust. I see yours had some major welding time in the past and has had advisories. When you bought yours did you worry about the rust and are you doing anything going forward to stop it spreading and how long do you think you can keep it running. I am concerned about spending 10-15k and not get that many more years out of it. Enjoyed the videos!
Nice comment, thanks! The welding shown in the MOT history is pre us. However we’ve had 2 lots of welding done (a hole in the side and the front wheel arches). Find a good welder, and get any spots done as soon as they show. Also find a good garage and get regular services. We enjoy nursing Basil and looking after him. Think he has a few years left yet. Expect to spend money, but also expect to get lots of enjoyment too 🙂
Haha…No (although I can see why you might think so). We bought Basil about 2 years before Mandy had her van. If anything, Jits Into The Sunset inspired us to get an Autosleeper camper. 😎

We have an old duetto campervan love your pull out awning we haven’t got that on ours so bought an awning for extra space

Love Norfolk. Been living here for nearly a year now. I’m full time in a camper van. Never use camp sites. Plenty of wild parking.
