Thank you so much for looking inside frame. My wife just bought a 6 years old Navara in Bangkok with 70.000. Now I know why the seller gave her 20.000 km guarantee on top. It is 2.5 engine and no ad blue. Hope the 163 hp is enough for this big nice ship. Cheers from Berlin , Germany
I came across your channel and subscribed when I was doing research on a replacement vehicle. Now how ironic it is that you've sold yours just as I've bought mine. I just got a 2017 Tekna with just over 40,000 miles on it.
Always interesting and honest, cheers John. Had to laugh at the SUV’s parked on both lines in each space though. Lucky you have a sunroof? You stay safe too, take care.
Hi John, after 2 months of selling your navara whats your opinioin for the new buyers for the truck, buying new or used, you suggest it?chassis corrosion, engine, electronical or anything else issue, would be helping a lot,at least for me because im thinking seriously to buy one but im confused if its worth it or not.write a book if you want, anything!take care, sorry for my english, cheers
Just bought one of these but sadly had to pay an inflated price for it due to the demand for decent second hand trucks. I only recently discovered your channel but it has at least convinced me I made the right choice. I had an older Navara a couple of years ago as my first pick up but missed it so much that I couldnt wait any longer for prices to drop and so bought this one, love that you can throw anything in the back and even hang bicycles over the tailgate - much better than all that tying them on the roof malarkey. Do you see yourself getting another truck?
Yes. Its only a matter of when. If it was to be another work truck then the Nissan would probably still be the top of my list. (Or the Mercedes variant if I got an absolute bargain😉) If it was just as a toy then I might do something a bit more left field like an American step side truck. or a Ute. (car derived pickup)
Sorry to see your Navara go , realy enjoyed your vids on yours, as a point of interest I thought about changing my Navara about six months ago, like you, the dealer wasn't interested so tried "W*n**S buy any cars" and the guy offered me £3000 for a mint 16 plate (pre corona) thieving B*****d, Yes I thought he had missed the "1" off the front but he was adamant that was all it was worth even when I showed him ones for sale on Face book. Would not recommend them to any one.
Ian walker hi Thanks for the kind words. And I will miss the truck. Didn’t really want to get into money on the video because that’s not what it’s about but felt I had to agree with you ref the thieving %#€¥. So for your interest Even though the market was crashed and the car auctions are shut. For my 2017 66000 miler, albeit in very good nick I got £ 8995 + VAT They had offered me just under 11,000 1 month earlier via the app. Which I should have taken!. What i got was just £200 shy of the app quote in the end. When you think that very few people will be buying a commercial vehicle over the coming months, I was just pleased to put something back in the bank. Sounds like you found a bad! man! 😮 Best regards And stay safe John
Enjoyed the video, varta batteries are actually the brand nissan now fit to there vehicles. Fiamm are typically very unreliable. And can be replaced if the vehicle is under warranty at the dealers for free when tested faulty.
Cheers Ronan. I may have got that the wrong way round re which make I removed🤔. I still have the old Battery in the Garage. I will take a look and if necessary add an edit. Thanks👍👍👍
Thank you so much Ronan. You are indeed right and I have Brain Fade🤯 The Battery I removed was Fiamm. ( and as you have indicated they have real problems) Nissan is replacing them with Varta (which is where I pulled the name from in my commentary. 😔 The one I fitted was a euro car parts special 'Lion Batteries. I Have edited the sound track on the video now so that I don't continuously Dis Varta when they are in actual fact, the solution.👍 That will update in the next hour. Cheers Pal. I Have subscibed to your Channel and love Mamods' 👍 John
@@ToTheGarage no worries 👍 I might actually have to fire some of the steam engines up now we are unfortunately in lock down. I think I might actually end up polishing the paint off my car if I do that any longer 😂
Hi John i've just stumbled across your channel, and boy did I enjoy your videos. Fantastic reviews and tutorials, some of the best I've ever seen, to be quite honest. i will really miss your videos on the Navara. I do have a question tho, not sure if you would be able to assist me in giving me a better understanding. i am about to sign a deal this week on a 4x2 automatic version, however, my concern is that they do not have a locking rear diff. The gentleman at the dealership tells me that the 4x2's come with an LSD, which acts as a rear diff lock - but could not explain to me anything further. Will the LSD serve the same purpose as a rear diff lock? Or will a 4x2 navara just be like driving a really high car? The reason I ask is because I do want to do some light off-roading, and coming from a Toyota hilux 4x2 with a rear diff lock, it was all i needed. Just want to know if this will be even close to that.
hi Dylan. it will be better than a 2wd car but not as good as a diff locked 2wd car (close though) Diff lock causes both wheels to turn at the same speed. LSD causes both rear wheels to Try to turn. Imagine one wheel has a slipping clutch. an open (standard 2wd) diff causes the wheel with the least grip to turn and the other one does not even try!
Hi man im from Australia i have a nissan navara 2015, when i reverse my car i can hear a click sound that im assuming is coming from the drive sharp. Do you have any ideas on how to fix that?
Shoulds like you may have worn Universal joints in the prop shaft. If by trying to twist either side of a UJ by hand in opposite directions, you can feel any play at all, then this is the problem and you need to replace the joints
Have you sold it to the Pilsbury dough boy John!!!! lock down or lock in at Greggs looks more appropriate. hope your work picks up after all shit is over.

Trust me. It’s gone due to work changes and COVID. I really enjoyed it.
@@ToTheGarage understood. I Greatly appreciate all you've shared while you owned it. I'm definitely enjoying mine so far.

Thanks Tim👍. Yes I have 'shimmied' along the side steps many a time to get in or out🤣
Hi John,
Glad you got a reasonable price for the car. ...That surface corrosion would have annoyed the life out of me also! Take care and stay safe.
Thanks Harry. You too👍

It needs a wheel alignment also rotate the tyres every 7500 klms and they will last longer
What tire brand you recommend, please ?

Hey nice vids...i just want to ask if you ever encountered the issue on every nissan navara called the rack and pinion issue?
Thank you👍. No im afraid iv not heard of that one.
@@ToTheGarage thank you fornthe feedback sir😊

Tires from Nissan Maindealer. He spent a long time in jail. Too early to go stir crazy, but I'm working on it. Hi, in lockdown from New Zealand. Paul.

No. Two armed Jason👍👍
