Good stuff! The “chapter #” title cards were a great touch. Look forward to the next one.

      Thanks man!
I borrowed the idea from Yakuza's chapter screens but the sound I used was the character introduction sound since it felt more fitting.

Honestly, it really has never been a better time to be a Yakuza fan here in the west, and it's never been easier to get into the series than it is in 2021.
Like most folks, I got into the series through 0 (though I had played a bit of Kiwami back in 2017). I basically devoured the game, and was hungry for more, so I basically jumped straight into Kiwami and Kiwami 2. Luckily, by the time I had finished both, the wait for the physical remastered collection didn't take too long, and I swooped on that shit instantly. By the end of November in 2020, I had completed all the mainline games including Like A Dragon, and was making my way through some of the side games, as well as the original PS2 games (Yakuza 2 has aged so much better than Yakuza 1 despite being less than a year apart from one another, it's unreal).
The series went from something I only heard it passing from pals online, or from the Super Best Friends (RIP) way back when, to basically my favorite game franchise, and it's mainly thanks to Yakuza 0. It might not be my personal favorite (that probably goes to Y2 or LAD), but it's a game that I have a ton of fondness for.
I can't imagine how dreadful it must have been for older Yakuza fans here in the West prior to 0, with games taking years to get localized, and in Y5's case, running the risk of never getting localized at all until fans really made their voices heard.
Anyways, sorry for the essay! I was sent here from a friend who retweeted this video, and I'm really glad I checked it out. I'm looking forward to seeing your new stuff and watching your backlog too. Be see ya'!

I got into the series the same way, except it was through Kiwami. I dropped Kiwami for a bit after getting 0 and beating that.
I discovered Yakuza after spotting it in a Gamestop during Black Friday and remembered hearing so much praise for it, and my curiosity rewarded me.
I also read up on Sega cancelling the American release of Y5 in 2012 and I can't wait to talk about that when I get to my Yakuza 5 retrospective.
It sucks that fans had to wait 3 years for Y5 to hit the States because that game had so much crazy stuff happening in the story!
I'm glad that Sega (their JP branch) wised up and gave fans what they wanted

Suggestion, if you introduce a video game character from any franchise, give em the Yakuza style character intro. It’s sick seeing that deep drum beat.

I'll try to see what I can do. It all depends on if the script would allow it and the context in which they're being introduced.
      I like your idea though!

"I can't recommend using this style during boss fights"
Me, who only exclusively used that style on Majima on all enemies including boss fights : pathetic .

Yeah I tried using Breaker on Nishitani and it was a nightmare lol.

@@lunarnocturne It needs a lot of juggling between combos and dodges, but the best thing is that you can go YAHOOO if you ever made a mistake and can restart again as long as you don't overdue the funky majima dance

You used the real Yakuza 0 intro. Liked

@@lunarnocturne I used to think the English intro is fire and it still is, but “Bubble” just captures the intensity and thrill of the story, while also highlighting how much of a fun and wild ride the whole game is.

The track also does a great job at highlighting how everyone during the Bubble Era was having the time of their lives throwing money around!

@@lunarnocturne and the OSTs that accompany you throughout the whole game does the same as well! My #1 favorite long battle theme will always be
T U S K. Question, which Yakuza ost is your favorite? Mines receive and bite you.

My favorite Yakuza track has to be Kuze's theme. Love the guitars blended with electronic music!
Make sure to be on the lookout for my next major project. I'm gonna be covering Infamous!
