so I am in a class where we are looking at organic pollutants and one of the things we are looking at is pharmaceutical contaminant breakdown in the environment. My question is, are all the xenobiotics broken down? because we find chemicals in people's urine so I am wondering if these chemicals are just bypassing this cytochrome P450 or simply the cytochrome p450 mechanism was not able to conjugate all the xenobiotics. Thanks!
