    I'm 75 years old and have been looking for motorcycles that aren't too large and heavy for me. I've been saving up my pennies, but being old without a job it's taking a while to get enough money to buy a decent motorcycle. I've been looking at the local dealerships leftover 2023 V7s but with this glowing review of the RE Bear (and with all the dirt roads around Prescott Arizona) I think that I may have found the right bike for me! Hip hip hoorah!

      @@chriswatts6161 Really? Can you tell me how an Interceptor is the same as the Bear without spending a lot for upgrading the suspension etc.? I would really entertain the idea if it's possible. Thanks for the idea.

    I am quite happy to hear of the new direction of your (main) channel. Bike reviews are a dime a dozen. In depth, living with any particular bike while traveling to interesting and scenic locations is a far more engaging foormat, in my opinion. I look fwd to watching you guys more in 2025. Comparing prices of meals in India and the UK is not very realistic. Yes, that dish in an Indian restaurant cost you 10 pounds in England while a similar dish in India cost you 1 pound... Rents of premises, wages, tax, the price of the ingredients etc are all far, far higher in the UK than in India, so of course that dish would cost much more where you live compared to where you've just been on holiday. But you probably earn more than ten times as much as an average Indian. So everything was dirt cheap for you there, but for an average Indian worker it's probably really expensive. It's all relative...

    A really good break down on the India trip gents! I traveled southern India in the early 90’s, I came home (Australia) with a different outlook of life. As you said Indian people are rich in the simplicity of sustainable lifestyle, I’ve always carried their concept of happy contentment and appreciate what I have in life. Great series this one, I’d like to do a tour again and get to Motoverse. I think this added direction of moto travel for your channel will be well received. Happy new year and all the best for 2025 guys. 👍

    As an Indian, wanted to provide some context to the negative comments you might have received from some of the Indians. Our country is often not shown in good light in western media. Now, a lot of people in India have internet access & they can see that & frustrated by it. So, they want to push back even at their slightest hint or idea of someone who is showing the stereotypical side of India, which you are not doing obviously but people are so fed up that they assume this even without watching the content.
    I absolutely agree when you said that animals & humans should live sustainably without one trying to control other, an idea which a lot of foreigners don't get & often show this in negative light.
    Also massively agree on your assessment if how do you see richness in people. I often tell this to my western friends, what you might see as poor people, probably sleep better at night than you. So, you need not worry about them.
    Overall loved your videos, keep going. Wish you all the best for 2025. Happy New Year !!

    • @aksvp
      @aksvp 2 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      To add to the point above, when someone is criticizing the choice of music, they just assume you are another westerner trying to stereotype India, because of their previous experience of watching the western content. I hope this clears the misunderstanding.

    I watch a lot of travel videos but they can be motorbike travel, specific model motorbike travel, food travel, language travel, sailing travel etc. So I get recommended push-bike travel which I dont like (all that sweat and strain) because "bike travel".
    Classifications and algorithms are frustrating except when they throw up the occasional gems.
    Bear 650 is very appealling apart from the weight so I'm staying with my Classic 350. 880 miles now so an easy ride up to 1200 miles fully run-in, when I'll be able to open it up and get that glorious extra 15mph!

    You are mostly correct, spice levels vary a lot in India, other than that, the gut bacteria of an Indian born and brought up person and someone from abroad is quite different. Since your bodies are not used to the amoebic gut bacteria of a tropical place, you'll feel some unease on account of that. Besides clean water, the climate and surge in microbial activity also affects the body a lot, but you guys handled it pretty well and have good immunity too. Cheers, hope to see more.

    28:14 Proof that we Indians can also be materialistic, have pride or inferiority complex over materialistic acquisitions and can have such distorted notion of beauty/wealth/happiness/honour based on materialistic criteria. And some of us can be insensitive enough to censor creativity and be insecure enough to try control narrative of well meaning tourist vloggers who want to just experience the real India. Thus my friends Indians have no monopoly on spirituality. Just visit us for food, history, culture and architecture, you can be spiritual anywhere. I am in agreement with pretty much all you have said here guys. Particularly regarding the Norton and its character. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 has the same sort of character, albeit with less power than the Norton but was criticized for this. Based on the mention that you would like to review older, more slimmer bikes, maybe it is time to take a second look at the most obvious one. The Classic 500, which remained pretty much the same for 60 plus years. I own one and the final versions were finished vey well, have more power than the new 350 and much less plastic on them. They are also lighter, thanks to the mono frame. Yes, they had a newly designed engine/gearbox for the final 10 or so years of production but this was an OHV engine with hydraulic tappets, which need no manual adjustment. 5 years after production ceased, a retrospective review of this bike, which is rammed full of character would I think be interesting......

    You both are amazing people, respectful to other people other cultures.🙏 one tip, please ignore negative comments from indians, just be yourself, use whatever music you like, show whatever you like rich or poor doesn't matter, just be yourself,you are amazing. ignore comments trying to change you guys. Because of huge population😂 you will get various types of weird comments in large quantity 😂 so try to ignore and just do whatever you like.🙏 Namaste love you both ❤

    so that pulao and biriyani is in reality not that spicy but is supposed to be flavourful but local variations are spicier for local tastes . If you wish to listen to very melodious music no matter the language check my latest vlogs in which i infuse popular music with my shorts on travel❤❤❤

    In your latest video you recommended the India trip as stress free but you obviously excluded the getting to and from the airport bits ! I am normally happy to be back in the UK with the exception of arriving at Heathrow which has always left me underwhelmed and sorry that it’s often tourists first taste of the UK.
    As for UK prices and the £2 packet of crisps, if you planned ahead you could avoid being ripped off. The UK minimum wage for adults is £11.44 an hour, what with employers national insurance, business rates etc what do you expect ? And don’t expect it to get cheaper anytime soon ! 🇬🇧

      We were just unfortunate that it snowed in the UK the day of departure, otherwise the journey would have not been stressful 👍🏼

    Do you think visiting India has changed you as people. Your views on life, possessions and finding peace in our fast paced culture in the UK? On a less deep note. Will you try again for a meet up with some of us in 25?

    • @DarcyOlManExtra
      @DarcyOlManExtra  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      @@darrenhall6509 Interesting question. No it has not changed us because we have always had views that are normal in the Western world, but it is enlightening to see some of our ideals being lived in real life.
      As for a meet up, perhaps the easiest way would be to announce when we will be at an event, or such like 👍🏼
