Change that one thing and LSU is 10 wins, playing solid and in the playoffs. The returning players + great '25 class and 16 mid-year campus arrivals and tons of young '24 freshman and sophomore players getting critical play time and development all point to Kelly and the Tigers building to a great 3-year championship contending span for '25, ' 26 and '27. Nuss completed long balls which he has had problems doing for years. Tonight great!!!,,the best for me? his running, pointing out, he ran and dove for the first down flag sticking the ball out like he was going for a touchdown,!! wow!! that was awesome!!, Oklahoma sure did not look like a team that beat Alabama!!, you cannot forget 2 weeks preparing and then getting run over by Alabama and many other missteps, meaning, this is just one game!~!~!~!!!, got it!!! , I hope we show up for the bowl game and I hope we do not lose the first game next year as we have every year. hope this transfers to next year for Nuss, who is a good guy and for this team! , and next year I do not want to hear from BK that we are young. finally, last hope!, Hope BK can cash in those receipts with a National Championship next year.

    Let's pump the brakes on this "legacy game" nonsense. His "legacy game" is beating an Oklahoma team having a bad season? Thats his LEGACY GAME?!!! I get it, he came back from an injury and played good. I can't say great because he STILL missed too many throws and he coughed the ball up (again) before getting injured. It was great seeing him actually tuck it and run. Haven't seen that all damn season. I don't even want to think about how a couple of our losses might have been different had he just picked up the easy yards. But i digress. Legacy game?!!! Joe Burrow had quite a few "legacy games". Beating Texas the first game of the NC year..that was a legacy game. Daniels willing the team to victory against Alabama...that was a legacy game. This was a good win against a not very good team. Nothing more.

    Please stop this "nothing to play for" rhetoric. A natty was never realistic, playoffs and SEC were always a reach this season. If they can't get up for 102,000 screaming fans in the last home game, to send the senior leaders off with a W, or just to compete and win instead of getting an L, then they shouldn't even be on the field. Almost every team not named Florida State had something to play for this week.

  • @westpac6954
    @westpac6954 22 วันที่ผ่านมา

    Coaching is still an issue. Time mismanagement in the first half with the time outs, and almost had a punt blocked. The run game statistics don't stand out but the actual run plays were effective and helped Nuss not try to force anything. Nuss played within himself, took checkdowns, and ran the ball himself at times. All those factors helping make the offense more effective. The defense played physically and decisively. They were not like an old school LSU defense but they were hitting and making plays. And sometimes "making plays" is just a run of the mill tackle. It is a great win to end the season and hopefully build on for next year.
    This game is a perfect example of what this team should have been, and had to potential to be the entire season. Brian Kelly has had so many miss-steps in his first 3 years which a coach under a 10 year $100 million dollar contract should not be making. I hope the scrutiny he received from LSU-nation this year has lit a fire under his @ss and made him realize this ain't Notre Dame. The same BS excuses he had up there, ain't gonna work down here. And that you aint gonna walk on campus and win just because you're at LSU and you are Brian Kelly. I hope what we saw in this game is the awakening of not just the players but also Brian Kelly. The UCF game comparison is appropriate. But It's gonna hinge on Brian Kelly more than Nussmeier. Nuss is just fine. The rest of the team around him needs to raise their level of performance. That is on Brian Kelly.

    4 losses is Nuss’ legacy. Maybe 5?

    Congrats on beating a team that had all their WRs out, mostly freshmen on the o-line, and in the backfield.

    Nuss getting crushed will make him a much much better QB. Hes been hit a lot but this one makes him much less afraid. I agree the hit was a Burrow like fear chasing hit. He ran, he scrambled and actually kept looking to throw!!!

    Y'all need to stop with the comparisons. Nussmeier is not that dude. He will never be close to the other 2 Heisman trophy quarterbacks that LSU had recently. He relies on his arm to much. Refuses to run. The qb for Georgia Tech showed a lot of grit against Georgia. If Nussmeier played like that in the big games. LSU record probably would be better. Geaux Tigers.

    Nuss, did a good job cant take that away from him. But you also cant take away those losses either. We need to move on from him and a few others if we're to compete next year. I love my Tigers 🐅 and i just want the best for them. To sugar coat this season because of one game is crazy... Let's continue to rebuild with the freshmans we have and are getting. Nuss is good but let's move on. I saw the game Saturday, and i appreciate his grit. But ill be that fool then Matt but im not sold on him being the leader next year. Love him but he's not the one. We knew Burrow was we knew Daniels was we haven't seen that in Nuss yet... we cant talk anyone in to a championship they just have to get there and show us all prove us wrong..

      Good points but ya gotta remember both Joe and Jayden weren't as good as Nuss year one of starting. They took off year two. If Nuss comes back I think he'll improve to their level or better provided he has a O line.

      Ok but who on our roster should start over nuss. The fact is nuss is our best chance next year. Let's stand behind him. You sound like the fans who wanted to bench jd5 last year in favor of nuss.

      @kfizzle225 Nope, I never wanted to bench JD5 for any reason. He was clearly the offensive leader we needed. I cannot say that about Nuss, even though I love the kid and his love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But this is football and we need a leader who can make things happen. I am with everyone who saw the grit of Nuss Saturday. However where was that same grit a few games ago when we lost all chances of going to Georgia. Yes, right now he maybe the best hope we have but there are other QBs in the wings waiting for the chance to show why they chose the Tigers 🐅 let's give them a chance. Nuss is a good player and a stand up kid but it's time for him to move on to better things (NFL) and allow the team to build a new QB to take his place..

      @mightyfamilyofgod1995 you maybe right but the other two you mentioned had as much or less opportunity than Nuss had to perfect their craft. I hope you're right I truly love my Tigers 🐅 since I was a little boy. I want them to become the powerhouse I know they can be. 🐅🐯🐅 Forever! Forever a 🐅🐯

    Amazing, all these good folks Nussmeimer, yet you forget the reason. Why LSU is not in the Natty is because of that kid. Are you kidding me. So NUssimeire wont throw another ill-advised interception. He had 10 turnovers in 4 games. Do you 'brown nosing'. Fools............So what he did in this game. Do you forget his last 4 games for season. LSU should be undefeated in 2024. YOU foolsssss!!

    The BK haters won’t go away. They are the casuals who aren’t bright enough to see the Big Picture.
    Look at who the players are that are shining and excelling; they are the freshmen and sophomores BK recruited. The 2025 and 2026 classes will put LSU back where they should be; consistent contenders.
    I still believe BK is the right guy to rebuild this program. Has he made mistakes? Sure. Has there been some head-scratching losses? Yep. But EVERY coach has mistakes and bad losses on their resume. Saban lost to UAB while in BR and he lost to ULM at Bama. Les Miles averaged 3-4 losses every year and some of those were horrible. The program is demonstrably better than when BK took over and to say otherwise is shortsighted and stupid.
