this song helped me stop drinking. almost 2 months sober and no urges or desire to drink again. no medications, quit cold turkey, only needed a couple days in the ER and a doctor visit to make sure quitting wasn't gonna kill me. I consider myself extremely lucky and thankful I was able to build the strength to not only quit but keep going as well as I am after 4 years of being wasted.
My 26 year old son, father of four little ones, had 2 cancer ops, has 1 lymphnode wuth cancer left in as its on his neck artery....wife divorced him as its a drag 🙄...he just shared the news that he’s getting a full body scan soon to see if it spread, if not, another radiation treatment to see if this can shrink away.... he sent me this song as it was how he was feeling with the news. 😓 While an upbeat and catchy tune indeed, like it lots, I hear what he is feeling through it. Everyone, send my Jimmy a prayer up. Thanks 🙏🏻 💖 And, if you’re healthy, don’t waste your life! It is a wonderful blessing! 💖😘
This break from the polished auto-tuned cookie-cutter so-called hits that passes for music these days is a breath of fresh air! When I first heard it, I thought it was something lovingly pulled out of an archive of old records from my parents' era; the 30s and 40s.
They sound to me like a great combination of Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Soggy Bottom Boys, all mashed together with Mighty Mighty Boss Tones! What a fabulous, cool sound and song! Thanks, Jimmy Fallon!
DC 101 brought me here. I love this type of music as it reminds me of upbeat jazzy like songs I remember hearing when I was a child of the 90's and it makes me so happy to hear the chorus
I heard it on the radio once a couple of weeks ago and no more since. At first, I thought it was a lost hit from the 70's or 80's. Why the hell isn't this song in the top 10?
Michael Woods, I don't know who these "Youz People" that YOU speak of. Have you ever heard ME call THEM or Anyone a devil. If I did, I would be calling my Uncle one who is White or my cousins, who are white. Besides, when it comes to MUSIC, I don't see COLOR, I just Hear Music that sounds good and feels good to me. Whether I'm JAMMIN' to my Collection of Travis Tritt, Garth Brooks, B.B. King, Howling Wolf, K.D. Lang, Janis Joplin, Bob Marley, John Cafferty, or any other artist that I have. My style in Music is Eclectic! I listen to it all. And the way I do Music, is the way I do People, until they show ME otherwise. And YOU Sir, have shown yourself otherwise. BUT, either way, you Be Blessed, and maybe next time...You can ask before JUDGING.
***** , I had to really PRAY after reading your comment and Posting mine. I realize that it wasn't ME that YOU were talking about, because You Sir, Do Not know ME. Because if you did, YOU would know HIM that is in ME, AND wouldn't be SO Judgmental. Either Way it go, I STILL LOVE YOU. Maybe you were having (or is still having a Bad Day) the reason why you came at me. BUT know that I'm Very Well Protected from ANY WEAPON (WEAPONS) that's formed against me. I don't know you, so I will not get into a TH-cam (Social Media) Battle with You. BUT I can say that I did Pray that GOD softened your heart against OTHERS who are not like You. So, Mr. Michael Woods, YOU Sir have a Wonderfully Blessed Life. All PEOPLE of Whatever Color ARE NOT the Same.
this band is an ol soul. this is literally the most modern toe tappin song I've hear. absolutely brilliant. can't wait to see how big they get. good luck fellas.
I saw him at the Fox Theater in oakland, ca. A friend begged me to go with him. I had never heard of him (2016 maybe) My wife and i went and i swear the crowd was dancing and singing the entire time. What a fantastic show.
I turned on the radio and instantly smiled when it yelled "SON OF A BITCH!" This song is moving, humorous and catchy as hell. This is what music should be!
Heard this on the radio during the worst traffic jam I've ever been in and I've gotta say I was here for this smashing-bottles-over-people's-heads energy
I like how I just typed "son of a bitch" on TH-cam and out of all the songs that have that phrase, this was the first one that showed up on the results. I'm so happy right now.
this is my pops fav new song, he just gets drunk as hell, demands i sit and listen to "a song you need to hear!" and then he proceeds to just drunkenly scream "SON OF A BITCH! GET ME A DRINK" tappin his feet and lookin up hahaha hes done the same thing almost every night for the past few weeks.....
Absolutely amazing! I haven't heard something this entertaining come on the radio in a very long time! I heard you guys on 105.7 in Atlanta. Keep on rocking!
Needtobreathe has a similar sound. The way they sing in unison and the folk style music. But they don't sing this genre, they're considered alternative rock and they also have some Christian music.
+strateass I have mixed feelings about that. On the one hand, this is an awesome contrast to the junk that's been passing as music and it would be nice to hear more of it. On the other hand, if this becomes the norm, they're going to polish it up and make it into cookie-cutter generic junk just like they have done to all other good music. Sonuvabitch!!!
This is the most catchy uplifting tune about an alcoholic that I have ever heard.
👍
+380PPK miss your meatiin bro
+380PPK Jesus was clean, but Matthew 11:19.
+Adam Ramsey ........WHAT?

The curse words in this song would have been censored in the '30s and '40s, unless it was released as a bootleg or on an independent record label.
It has the “old” feel to it. It’s truth, justice and honesty. That’s what we all want deep down
I keep hitting replay, I can't get enough of this song! Sounds like an old chain gang work camp song.
I've fallen in love with "loop video". Check the top right corner over the video, click "loop video" from off to on, enjoy ♡
I need more songs that sound like this.
I lve the soulful/funky/southern sound of it for working out.
It's like the "Gatorade - Evolve" song.
I agree
They sound to me like a great combination of Lumineers, Mumford & Sons, Soggy Bottom Boys, all mashed together with Mighty Mighty Boss Tones! What a fabulous, cool sound and song! Thanks, Jimmy Fallon!

Thank you. This song actually made my family understand.

Howdy Neighbor exactly. fallout is based on a 50s mentality. this is DEFENTLY not 50s or early 60s music

this reminds me of an old 60s style song.
This is the most upbeat and depressing song for the ages!
The bassline humming reminds me of 'Little Bitty Pretty One' - Thurston Harris.
+James Cook Yeah, it seams a lot of new music is borrowing...er...influenced by older music...
I'm in love with this song.
Such a fun song to listen to! Wish there were more songs like it :D
Needtobreathe has a similar sound. The way they sing in unison and the folk style music. But they don't sing this genre, they're considered alternative rock and they also have some Christian music.
And the band "Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors" have a similar sound and they sing about alcohol in some songs.
