    Hello from Australia - I'm amazed at the level of interest with these 2nd Gen. (91-95) Legends in the US! They have no following here in Australia to the extent in the US and they are very rare here now, most are trashed and off the road. BUT I have a near mint 1991 saloon, one owner from new (bought from a neighbour a year ago) and I love it. It is my second, my last was a 95 saloon. You can keep the engines healthy by frequent coolant changes re head gasket/EGR. Regards

    Do you think $1800 is a good price for a mint condition 1993 Acura Legend LS Sedan gold with 189k miles? The paint is immaculate and the interior has NO rips or tears at all Let me know because I am considering purchasing one.

    Nice...Currently working on my 94 L sedan. Replacing Crankshaft pulley and ac compressor. Pretty much all it needs for now. Paint and interior on the end of the list

    Loved these cars since they were new and came close to buying one in the late 90s. They get a bad rep. for blowing head gaskets because of a design flaw when it is a clogged EGR system that does it most of the time. Sadly, there are virtually none of them left that have not been trashed. I've got a 92 Vigor I've owned since 97. It sits in the garage most of the time and I put maybe 500-1000 miles on it in a year. My newer and more expensive cars have more features but Honda did everything right in the early 90s and you know it each time you drive the cars they made then.

    I just bought an aftermarket air cleaner like this one has on my 94 legend. I heard you say you are putting the factory one back on. I was wondering if these aftermarket performance air intake will cause any problem with my engine?

    Hey Tyson...I just purchased one in the same condition however when I drove it home I noticed white smoke coming from the tailpipe and the engine light came on...the car runs great but I'm thinking it may have a blown head gasket...what do u think?

    • @TysonHugie
      @TysonHugie  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes white smoke from the tailpipe usually indicates that coolant is mixing with oil, thus a blown head gasket. Check out the Facebook group Acura Legend Owners & Enthusiasts. Hopefully you get get it fixed and continue to enjoy it!

      when you do the head gasket make sure to clean the EGR passage in the rear section of the engine while you have it broken down ..last one I bought I did the timing belt and coils plugs and water pump myself & thought I couldnt do it(never worked that extent on a motor to do the timing before but i did it!) and it ran like a champ afterward!
