Not necessarily parts just characters cuz we can have Aquaman Shazam and Wonder Woman all played by the same actors but with similar stories to what we’ve already seen so we don’t gotta just watch it all over again but tbh I like that cuz with Shazam the connectivity it has is almost little to the DCEU and same with the Wonder Woman movies and with Aquaman they can keep the story but take out the connectivity and it won’t do anything to the overall story
I can not WAIT for Lantern and The Brave and The Bold. I just hope that the Bat-Family is well established cause I’m worried about Damian being introduced first

I'm hoping this is one of those films that happens way into Batman's career, similar to how they handled Peter in Spider-Verse, where he's been Spidey for a decade and has experienced countless iconic stories and met many iconic villains. I hope they're doing that with Batman. Because if they just decided to immediately start off with Damian Wayne & completely forget about Dick, Jason & Timm, then its obvious that they don't care about our satisfaction, nor do they care about comic-accuracy.
Considering they said this movie is the introduction to the Batfamily, I'm sure they will establish in the film that Batman has already been through 3 Robins before, and we'll probably see a couple of them who've gone on to do their own thing in that film (namely Nightwing and Red Robin). At some point in the future they could also do the Red Hood storyline. There's also Barbara, who I'm interested to see whether she'll still be Batgirl by the time this film takes place or not.
I *love* this: The variety, the legacy characters, the interconnectivity, and the titles for this first part of the first 'chapter' is, while not exactly what I had in mind, exactly what DC needs to set itself apart. While I'm a little dubious of keeping the old DCEU in the fold, I cannot deny my excitement and support of this universe have just gone up tenfold :D I cannot wait to hear more if/when we do.
I didn’t know that I would predict James Gunn doing The Creature Commandos but I’m happy it’s happening because The Creature Commandos are very underrated and it’s definitely right up his alley.
I mean noone expected for the Guardians of the Galaxy to be made and that was a hit. Noone expected for him to use characters like King Shark and the Pokadotman and they became icons and made the SS a great movie. James Gun does the unexpected and makes great movies thats why idk why everyone was crying about him being in charge of the DCEU, I knew dude was finna do great things

I'm so happy that they're using Damian as Robin. This means that can bring up Red Hood, knight wing and even Tim's Robin without making a whole movie about them, plus Damian has more of a back story that can tie in with other projects. I'm so excited for this.
I honestly thought we might get Batman and Robin, but the Robin would be Dick Grayson and we build everything else out over time. If we're starting with Damian, this could easily mean the rest of the Robins are out there and I am beyond ecstatic about that!

I’m excited for this new slate I mean I never heard some of these characters but the way James Gunn did with the new Suicide Squad I have hope, but I’m hyped for Superman and Batman films.
I can’t wait for all of these projects but I am most excited and interested by Superman: Legacy, The Brave and The Bold, SuperGirl: Woman of Tomorrow and the Lanterns tv shows.
I’ll be honest this feels like an interesting mix of conventional yet still having enough of that usual unconventional stuff we expect from Gunn, the authority was the biggest surprise to me
I love this DC Slate, it is so unique and awesome. Gunn and Safran are doing a great job and I can't wait to see more of the first DCU Chapter: Gods and Monsters. For me The Brave and the Bold was my favorite announcement, not only am I a huge fan of Batman but I am also a huge fan of all the Robins. I have a bigger connection with Dick Grayson but Damien Wayne is so cool I can't wait to see this Father-Son Dynamic.

That's 1 of my favorite entities outside of the superhuge solo super heros names in DC I feel like Green Lantern could be DC's guardians of the Galaxy where everybody gravitates towards it if you focus on all 1 or 2 at 1st then start 2 bring in more an make it about the green lanterns in general!

Super happy to see Robin. My number one hope for this new universes take on batman is that we get more supernatural stuff. Every Live Action take on Batman since the Dark Knight has been grounded and realistic, so I want stuff like Clayface and Manbat rather then another take on Harvey Dent, Joker, Catwoman, etc
I agree. But I still hope those characters exist. I like to think it would be sweet for Catwoman to spawn off a whole trilogy of her own, maybe with someone like Ana de Armas in the role. The character is practically a household name at this point.
Looking forward to the green lantern project, It’s going to tease the storyline that connects through all of Gunns projects. Hal jordon and John Stewart are going to uncover a mystery that is that storyline, Darkseid? Anti-moniter?
More than anything I’m looking for to Bruce and Damian and the lanterns finally. Been wanting a big screen adaptation of Bruce and Damian since I started reading about Damian in the comics.
James Gunn's announcement of the DCU, even if it is only part of it, so far, just seems to be getting more and more exciting; I cannot wait to see what kind of tone they will be setting with each variety of different story backgrounds that they are going to use :) I am very excited and I hope that all the movies work out well for James Gunn and Peter Safran :)

This plans sound amazing, really pumping my expectations for the future of DC contents, Gunn clearly understands these characters, most importantly Superman as the symbol of hope not an emotionless god like being that we got in the previous DCEU...
