This is how it should’ve been. The story , the characters are so much better than FSN. No offence FSN fans but IMO proto saber(Arthur) and Ayaka are so much more likeable than female saber(Arturia) and Shirou. Arthur’s personality is so freaking good and he’s much more powerful. He isn’t naive and impulsive but mature, smart and calm,it only took him 1holy Grail war to understand the true nature of grail. He answered Ayakas call , to both protect Ayaka and free the world from darkness of the grail. Ayaka is a good mc to, she actually has an idea what’s happening, she understands the consequences. Her development from a scared introvert to brave and strong willed personality is so much more interesting. Proto Gil and Proto lancer are so much better to. And Manaka is an amazing villain. Heroes from 1st Grail war have great personalities to like Arash and Bryn. There is hardly anything you cannot like in Fate Prototype.
i'd really appreciate them going back to this series. and making it a proper finished series. I mean, yea i love female king arthur as much as any fan. And the characters proved awesome in fate zero. But this is too good to just.. throw away.. (yes this became fate stay night, weird isn't it?)

Whole thing was scrapped when whatshisface(the guy who draws the stuff instead of writing the story like Nasu) put in his two cents and said maybe saber should be a girl. After that they just threw away everything else.
I prefer Fate Zero to this, but I think this is better than FSN over-all. I love Rin, Archer, Kirei, Ayako and others in FSN. But the darkness, Ayaka, Lancer, Gil, and over-all theme in this I just think is better than FSN. Amazing, I want a series!
I don't know Shirou's overall character is masterfully done when you really compare/contrast all three routes and Archer's backstory . All fate/prototype has over it is the dark overall theme and less cliche characters.
MrBernkastel2 That's really down to opinion. I don't like Shirou really at all outside of HF and I do really like Archer. I just prefer the characters in Prototype, how it was looking seems a lot better for me, the theme etc. So to say "All fate/prototype has" is just a preference. Though it's fine for people to prefer FSN, I just happen to not.
How could both of you prefer Fate/Zero to this or think it's better than Stay Night, apart from a LN that isn't even related to this holy grail war, and some information released, the story of this series isn't really even known.

I do think ordinary people would kill animals for blood instead of cutting themselves, in F/Z Waver Velvet stole and killed chickens. So the heroine is not as coward as she think.

Honestly, I think this too woulda been a good series, and I personally wish for more to be made as something of a side series.
Masters and servants change each war, but Pendragon the saber and Gilgamesh the archer never disappear.
