I think some people here are misunderstanding what he is saying. What I took from this video is that if you were to practice braking without abs, you are more likely to build more efficient muscle memory when braking at the limit because you get punished with lock ups if you do not brake properly. The punishment of braking incorrectly with abs activated is not as clear as w/o it. By practicing without abs you create a more clear feedback mechanism, hence creating better braking habits.
I disagree. GT3 car has assist because they have so little down force (vs prototype/formula cars), no actual person can be that consistent over a full race stint plus traffic to deal with. It's more of a problem with iRacing unrealistically punishing you when ABS kick in rather than you should drive without assist.
I might be confused by what you're saying, but im not saying to not drive without assists. I'm saying use them, but just keep them low so they don't activate unnecessary
The iracing abs model is garbage...it kicks in at times when I'm like 20 percent on the brake...it's more of a "get off the brakes dummy" indicator than anything to do with real ABS. In reality ABS helps you stop the car, in iracing it means your brakes are no longer doing anything and you're leaving the racing surface.
He is right.
Fun edit and format keep it up man
Thanks mate! Will do 👍

Yes, exactly! I thought this was given, but I should've clarified.
I disagree.

@@Mumwaldee yes, totally garbage!
I'm presuming this would apply to ACC too.
Either way your videos have been helpful. Thanks
