or you can just bump it all the way to the rear and spin out in all heavy braking zones like a champ
hahaha 😂
In a "perfekt world without locking up": would 50/50 be the best brake-bias -> 100 % brake power on every axel or does 30/70 still achieve the same overall break power? I always thought 30/70 meant that the rear breaks do not produce 100 % power (in order to achieve the ratio)
50/50 would be each axle brakes at 50% power, and 30/70 means that the fronts brake at 30% power and the rears brake at 70% power
Binged your vids and this is last one. Good stuff. Ironically, most of it (because some wasnt relevant like tire temps) I learned when playing and setting records in arcade racers (like older 2000s nfs games). This video is a really good example, theoretical best line very often is not good because of obstacles present on the track (like lamp post that will slow you down), or crazy layout of tracks. Im not saying arcade and sim are the same but that part of the knowledge and skill is transferable.
Ayyy, thank you mate ❤ Yeah, for arcade games, things like racing lines and racecraft are definitely applicable, but not things like tire temps.
Thank you bro for being straighforward

What haha? 😂 I've never heard anything about that
@ yeah there was this guy a little while back who posted a screenshot of the race lab Reddit banning him because it said he preferred simlabs or something along those lined
Ah, okay
hey bro, great value, cant wait to see your first paid product, also, which app u use for whiteboard on your videos?
Appreciate it mate ❤ The app I'm using is called eraser io

this is really useful!! thanks! :)
No problem!
Great explanation for beginners.
Thank you!
Could a G-Force indicator help with this?
Yes, it's a very similar and helpful tool.
One more thing: the front wheels normally get more braking pressure because the front axel gets more weight during braking, so it’s harder to lock the front wheels
3am content
😂
Thank you sir
and then there’s max verstappen, the mad man who wants all of his cars to feel loose and on the edge of extinction
😂
Fighter planes are like this to increase maneuverability, they are so unstable without fly by wire. Just like RB 19 and 20 you put the CG behind the center of grip, the car will more naturally wants to turn back side first. That helps with rotation with car and planes, remember the deadly porsche 930 turbo ? Engine in the rear it can't stop rotating, + turbo lag = 💀
what a legend. Do more please!! 👏
❤
maybe another explanation on how to adjust brake bias based on weight distribution?
I am pretty sure it comes in 50 50 from the factory As in it is right on the Center of Gravity of the car, the weight distribution is not necessarily 50 50 but when the factory brake bias matches the CoG the *brake* bias is 50 50 but in real life it might be 60 40 or smt like that.
And to manipulate the car behavior you move braking force around that central point, rear means rear slides first, swings like a pendulum, and we all know what happens if you put it in front, you would see the tree that killed you.
The first crash was between Kovalainen and Webber, not Rosberg. Other than that, great video mate! You explained it really easily and went straight to the point. I have also seen other videos from you and all of them are really straightforward, thanks for creating this kind of content!
Yeah, I only realized it wasn't Rosberg after posting. Thanks for the kind words ❤
nice little summary
Good guide 🎉
You should make one about slow speed corners. Specially chicanes.
Noted 📝
thanks for not wasting my time
Man iracing looks so bad
The graphics? To be honest, it's not that bad IMO. I've gotten pretty used to it, and if I turn them up any higher, my PC will crash. Doing 30 car races in the rain already puts me at around 40 FPS, so any higher and my PC goes boom.
I like it, it reminds me of Gran Turismo 4's textures and color profile
You can do it more rear if you want for better rotation but you need to be experienced in the car to make sure you don’t lock up
Yup, true. I'll usually start out with the default brake bias, and then turn it towards the rear a few clicks for slightly better rotation and experiment.
@@fahadsayyedracing turn it towards the rear as in increasing or decreasing the BB?
Turning BB towards the rear means decreasing the BB. Turning BB towards the front means increasing the BB.
That was really good. Good stuff!
i still cant remember if up is front or rear
In most games 50% is 50/50. Anything higher than that pushes the bias more towards the front (causing more front lock ups)
Increasing brake bias → More braking done by front tires, less done by rear tires Decreasing brake bias → More braking done by rear tires, less done by front tires
It only takes one braking zone in practice to find out
Literally what I needed, I watched like 3 10min videos yapping about this in a way that makes it so confusing. This is short, clear and straight to the point. Kudos to you kind sir
perfect
what a great video thanks
Dang. I understand now
Wow that was fast but I still understand it 🫡 Thx for the vid👏
So many things that your point out of what not to do is exactly what most people actual do in iRacing and it’s exhausting. I’d say to expect the absolute worst out of everyone on track because 90% of the time that’s what they will give you.
great content bro, keep pushing and keep the value
Thanks mate 💪
Amazing vid, the goose drawing was crazy hahaha
Thanks mate, it means a lot ❤ Also glad you liked my drawing 😂
I’m a 3.4K driver. I have 100% confidence that a pro driver can’t beat me in a race with a Logitech G29. Over a single lap sure. Not over a race distance, no chance.
Lol I had a friend come to me out of the blue asking me what I paid for the rig. This friend never showed any interest in sim raceling or real world racing. Than a day later He sent me a dof reality link asking me what I thinkabout it and he's thinking about going for it😂 told him that maybe he should start of more entry lebel price wise and see if sim racing is something he wants to do long term? Ofcourse got no response and I expect to here from him any day now to ask me if I can help with an easy to fix problem so he can flex his new rig😂😂😂
Dang, starting off with a full rig is a lot. I know a few people IRL who have more than $2000 dollar setups only for them to play Assetto Corsa traffic mod like once a week. Obviously, it's their money and they can do what they want, but I feel like it's a waste.
Does this also apply to ACC? Or only iracing?
Generally applies to most racing sims from my experience - principles are generally the same when it comes to being fast
Yup, it applies to MOST realistic racing sims. ACC is a pretty realistic one, so my assumption would be that it applies in ACC. It might be different in arcade-ish sims though, like F1 games
@@fahadsayyedracing I've mained AC and ACC and recently transitioned to iRacing to try things out, and it's largely the same (iRacing's handling on most cars near or above the limit is big yikes though compared to real life and most other sims... really hope the new tire model addresses it though). But yeah simcades can be very different
Yup, I've heard that the tire model isn't the best. Even with that included, I'd still say it's the most realistic sim on the market though. I'm hoping that it'll get updated this year 🤞
Am I allowed to say first? Cuz I came first to watch the vid 🤔 flat out corners is my favourite corners it's easy and fast But the double corners is where I'm bad at 😅
Yeah, sure haha
yes
From what I've see alot Some drivers Break so hard that you can see the tires get damaged. And I think that with new tires the first lap tires are cold but in the 2nd or 3rd lap is the perfect Temperature
Yup, braking really hard can kill your tires. Also, the tires are cold on the first lap, and they get better on the second lap, but the third lap is the perfect temperature. This usually depends on the car and circuit length though.
