    Lol I grew up there and attended high school in the downtown area, and the lack of shade is REAL! walking to the bus stop was a nightmare during summer (all year really!) but oh my beautiful Campeche I miss it so much!! I’m coming in 2 weeks and bringing my American husband for the first time ever!!! Can’t wait!!

    • @FeatherandtheWind
      @FeatherandtheWind  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Omg !!! Checking out your blog we lived 21 years in B.C before we decided to retire here in Campeche Mexico =) looking forward to coming home in December to see our two sons =) 5 1/2 years here I have only been home twice ... traveling from Campeche to Merida you might have seen our ranch =) my husband's dream to own a piece of land and grow crops .. it is now time to retire and sell the ranch in the process of doing that right now !!

    • @FeatherandtheWind
      @FeatherandtheWind  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What an amazing story!! We had such a great time in Campeche and it's great to hear you were able to make your dreams a reality in Mexico. We hope you enjoy your visit this December! Funny enough, we're hoping we can escape to Mexico again before it gets too cold :P

    • @pamelagarza2815
      @pamelagarza2815 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we do things backwards come home in the winter lol !! The only time we can get away ... it’s actually a nice break from the brutal ! heat here I’m constantly sweating ! 😰😰 nice to receive your reply =) so can’t wait to come home .. funny we spent more time in Vancouver last December than we ever did the 21 years we lived in BC .... we lived in a town called Chilliwack way back when it was a quiet farm town ... not anymore we could not get over the growth there in the last five years we have been away ... I really love the city of Vancouver ....

    Maybe you have a video about it but I'm wondering how much gear you guys are dealing with to get these shots. The video looks fantastic so I'm guessing a GH4 or GH5? Some lenses? External Mic? Obviously some drone footage, but maybe a smaller camera also? Is the in-body stabalizer on the GH that good or is there some gimbal used as well?

    • @FeatherandtheWind
      @FeatherandtheWind  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good eye! We don't have a video but we did write a post about it: www.featherandthewind.com/blog/2018/2/7/best-travel-vlogging-gear-for-every-budget
      It isn't our most updated setup but yes, we film with the GH5 and sometimes G85. The IBIS is really that good. I don't recall in this video but we only use the stabilizer in about 50% (or less) of the shots

    • @FeatherandtheWind

      I think we would given the pool access but something more central might have been better if our budget allowed it. Wrote more about it here: www.featherandthewind.com/blog/campeche-mexico-weekend-guide

    4:25 you're wrong, the black tanks are to increase the water pressure, in many small cities in Mexico the water pressure is low and it gets very weak to the other floors of a house or building and that is why those tanks are used, they aré not use it to heat the water haha , and in Mexico many people use water heaters, especially in the north

    Interesting, with the merciless sun beating down on the passersby in the streets of Campeche, there is not an awning in sight.

    Campeche is so colorful I'm pretty sure you guys will love Puebla, some streets even look alike, besides missing the sea part 😅 Internet is awful in México specially for uploading, during the day it cuts a lot because the system kinda divides between the users, me being a night owl, I know the internet is better for uploads at night like after 12 am. just a small tip 😉 If you guys come to Puebla, this small restaurant is my favorite to eat delicious Comida Corrida or Menu, at a great price just in case this the name and address you can also confirm the address on Google maps 😅( Fonda Margarita El reino del sabor, Av 2 Pte 506, Centro, 72000 Puebla, Pue.) That location is the best and it is so close to the Zócalo 😎 I know I probably annoyed you already with the come to Puebla 🤣

    • @FeatherandtheWind
      @FeatherandtheWind  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some of our favourite cities in Mexico have no beaches so I think we'll love Puebla! Thank you so much for the recommendation :)))) We're planning our schedule this week and will keep you posted but hope to be around there end of April or mid-May. Would be great to share a meal with one of our original viewers 🤗

    Oye nena ...cuando dices al fresco significa algo distinto cuando se habla Castellano y se usa para arte hecho con pinturas al fresco.
    Yo te entendi bien pero creo que querias decir en la sombra donde no te el sol directamente.
