Soy de otra parte de la república Mexicana , y Campeche es muy bonito ., me encanto ,muchas felicidades , sigan cuidando la ciudad......Solo una queja , cuando era chico tuve la oportunidad de visitar la ciudad ., y estaba ilusionado por ver la ciudad amurallada ......fue decepcionante que no conservaran completo el monumento histórico...y al día de hoy siento pena de saberlo.....por todo lo que representa...!
@@franciscogomezduque Hola amigo, lamento que lo veas de ese modo, para mí como Campechano es contradictorio, porque aunque representa la gloria de mi Ciudad en tiempos coloniales, también representa el desarrollo y el avance hacia la modernidad de la República, las derrumbaron por estrategia política y militar. Campeche tuvo una guerra con el vecino Estado de Yucatán para obtener su independencia y la ganó gracias a sus Murallas, los gobiernos nacionales pensaron que no era una buena idea tener una ciudad fortificada a tal magnitud y cubrieron esa necesidad de debilitarla, colocando el Edificio del Gobierno Estatal y el Poder Legislativo en la ruta del lienzo de muralla derruido para que la ciudad ya no estuviera totalmente cerrada, derribaron la Puerta de San Francisco y la de San Román, por los mismos motivos. Los gobiernos mas actuales reconocimiendo el potencial turístico de la ciudad han recuperado los lienzos de muralla y baluartes para devolverle parte de su esplendor pasado. Coca Cola crates turned into a swing, the handles for ice bags - everyday we see something and it's like wow - they did it again! San Francisco de Campeche, or Campeche as it's known locally, is a city in one of the safest states in Mexico and also one of the country's most scenic. The city is one of the most and least-visited gems on the Gulf of Mexico; a wonderful alternative to tourist hotspots like Merida and Cancun.

@@luperamos7307 Actually Campeche is more close to Merida (just 2 hours) than from Tabasco(5 hrs) But believe me, both States are safe. I've travel around and it's pretty safe.
A few months ago my wife and I vacationed for a couple of months in Merida, Yucatan. We also spent a few days in Campeche and it's funny we went to all the places you went! Great memories, great food. There's something about the southern states of Mexico that's MAGICAL!

We TOTALLY AGREE with the title. We were absolutely stunned by Campeche. We had only planned a short stay in between our roadtrip between Granada, Nicaragua and Merida, Mexico ...but we now wish we would have planned a month there. What a gorgeous and diverse city...we loved every moment of our time there.

We visited Campeche a few years ago during an extended stay in Merida. Was absolutely blown away and shocked that’s it’s not a more popular tourist destination. It’s absolutely beautiful and has so much to see, do and eat. But I guess I end up saying this with a lot of places in Mexico. It’s a country filled with underrated gems!

San Francisco de Campeche, or Campeche as it's known locally, is a city in one of the safest states in Mexico and also one of the country's most scenic. The city is one of the most and least-visited gems on the Gulf of Mexico; a wonderful alternative to tourist hotspots like Merida and Cancun.

Actually Campeche is more close to Merida (just 2 hours) than from Tabasco(5 hrs) But believe me, both States are safe. I've travel around and it's pretty safe.
A few months ago my wife and I vacationed for a couple of months in Merida, Yucatan. We also spent a few days in Campeche and it's funny we went to all the places you went! Great memories, great food.
There's something about the southern states of Mexico that's MAGICAL!

We TOTALLY AGREE with the title. We were absolutely stunned by Campeche. We had only planned a short stay in between our roadtrip between Granada, Nicaragua and Merida, Mexico ...but we now wish we would have planned a month there. What a gorgeous and diverse city...we loved every moment of our time there.

We visited Campeche a few years ago during an extended stay in Merida. Was absolutely blown away and shocked that’s it’s not a more popular tourist destination. It’s absolutely beautiful and has so much to see, do and eat. But I guess I end up saying this with a lot of places in Mexico. It’s a country filled with underrated gems!
