he isnt permanently imortal since he needs more remnant to be imortal! his son micheal afton did in the scooper room from fnaf sister location but the animatronics gave him remnant wich made him imortal... BUT! in fnaf pizzeria simulator (an actuall game made by scott that not many people know ) micheal DIES in a fire. so we can say that since william killed way more cchilds and took remant out of their corps he managed too have more remnant wich explains why hes not completly imortal but hes gonna live for a very long time
