Los científicos aseguran, y en otros casos especulan que este fenómeno es debido al cambio climático además de la elevación de la temperatura de las aguas en el océano. Las algas en Punta Cana no afecta la contaminación, pero si representa un problema del medio ambiente para el país. Cancun y otras áreas turisticas observan la contaminación en los mismos meses que en otras playas de Mexico. Los hoteles de lujo, limpian sus playas todas las mananas, pero aun asi, es un problema endémico para todos los resorts. Gracias!
Yes, I stayed in the King & Queen Villa #1029, which does have a small plunge pool, which I really enjoyed. I was in the DR in February of this year. Seaweed was not a problem during my visit. Many beaches in the Caribbean deal with sargassum seaweed on a seasonal basis. It is most acute in the summer months. Top resorts clean it up throughout the day. Pacific side resorts do not deal with seaweed.

Hi Phyllis, thanks for your note. It's been since pre-pandemic, so I'm not sure, but I think it was the Royalty Villa. It was located beach front and had a plunge pool outside on the deck and a "soak pool" inside (not sure what to call it). Great stay. My apologies for the delay in responding. My wife is dealing with cancer and my attention has been with her. But good news! After surgery, chemo, and radiation, she is making wonderful progress toward recovery. During this time I have not been adding new posts, but will start again, likely in February. Thanks!

Correct, including the terrace. In fact, I stayed in one. It's a unique, one of a kind experience. Great dining too.
