as far as i know the posion efects all count as diferent dmg sources. means u can use the super venom arrow and the dagger and get two ticks of poison. u can even switch the arrows. like poison+ super poison. the ultimatum would be Larva blade, spider dagger, widow dagger , poison arrow, super poison arrow and the amor, All apply poison that ticks on its own
My personal favorite build is what I call my "crit" build. - Scythe of Blossoms (crit damage) - Assasin's Mask (crit bleed) - Roly Poly Breastplate and Legplates (block stun, and heavy armor) - Thor's Pendant - Apex Predator (attack speed) - Meat Shield - Coup de Grass - Trapper Peep.R - Assasin - Sub-effects of Liquid Rage - Sub Effects of a Spider Slider idk I just felt like sharing. Bravo to you if you read it, I guess.
i was thinking about crit builds i just feel like there isnt much crit chance you can get in the game yknow so you have to be really lucky the devs chould add a crit chance armour set or somthing but i have been using assasin armour when fighting widows because my poison build dosent work for them
Just found out that chopper does not affect the Scythe of Blossoms, weirdly enough. Apparently Assassin is the correct mutation for damage. Additionally, I didn't go with the full assassin armor because of the block stun provided by Roly Poly armor, as well as more protection from most damage.
BTW for those who don't know the one of the differences for light/medium/heavy armor is that your attacks take less stamina to swing for light armor, medium drain while swinging for medium armor, and increased stamina drain while swinging heavy weapon.
I have been using a similar build before the widow, use upgraded spider knee pads which have been upgraded to widow now. I use upgraded termite chess piece for the dust Guard and dust cloud effects. Don’t do as much poison damage but has nice defense. Works great.
Theres a way to cheese the black widow behind the rock u have to blow to then drop down , if u chuck a bratwurst down the hole u can pull the black within site to then shoot down on her and kill her . Theres 3 black widows u can now cheese without having to fight them meaning easy kills
This was the 1st build I was thinking of when I saw black widows in the 1.0 trailer. Use the mantis leggings so you can add bleeding to. Poison the enemy and make the enemy bleed a double whammy. Broodmother helmet, widow chestplate and mantis leggings.

that build is amazing but what if you try broodmother club with apex predator along with the charcoal ominent badge? because my theory is that both of those 2 key items along with the armor build and the charcoal ominent badge (+ damage but no more perfect block/parries) would work together and either make it faster or as fast as the build you just showed off in the video.

So like venom, super venom arrows, btoodmother club with apex predator Widow fang dagger, spider fang dagger and larvae blade, along with parry poison. So you hit the target once with each of these and then go the town with the club. So this makes 8 stacks of poison. Insane
Brood mother to me wasn’t that hard the first time around. Maybe because I came overly prepared for the fight. Upgraded the coaltana to lvl 8, had fire ant armor on, I think I had the compliance badge since I’m pretty good at perfect blocks, brought like 10 beefy liquid rage smoothies, and some bombs. So for me she was a walk in the park XD
The sleek upgrade effect +Poison Damage, which increases damage of players' poison attacks, has a unique distribution (Head 20%, Upper Body 50%, Lower Body 30%) that allows players to swap out the head piece for something like the Mask of the Mother Demon and still retain 80% of its full sleek effect. Its spider armor, its not a better ?
do you even need the mask of the mother ? it gives poison coating and the nova but with poison parry ads already get poisoned and ur weapon has poison too. Does it stack with the poison coating from the helmet actually ?
I haven't gotten to any widows yet, but I'm currently running the BroodMother helm, and rotten berry charm. Nearly fully upgraded rotten spear, and helm; giving two different procs. Stamina is maxed out(Molars). Same mutations, except using spear instead of dagger, for now.
What difficulty is this? Also be careful with the poison nova from MotMD in multiplayer, you can absolutely murder your friends if they get caught in it!

Its a great build, but I don't see a world where you don't use parry master and cardio fan. They are so seriously insanely strong that I think every build should use it no matter what.
Finally got all these parts yesterday and was running this same build but with the red fire ant shield instead. I found that the extra attack for free on block that the ladybug shield gives you is useless with the dagger as you swing it so fast! The dagger is also glitched right now as it doesn’t unlock the dagger mutation on kill… or at least it didn’t for me.
When you use the mask of the brood mother or anything else that has +poison, does it work on any weapon or only weapons that had poison on it to begin with like the club of the mother demon?
If love to see a video on best armor build and weapon build for soloing the underground lab. I just got there but antlion armor fully upgraded and the mint mace won't cut it. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to build roly poly armor and the toenail scimitar with red ant shield. Any advice is appreciated
So I couldn't get the widow under the tool box to drop any venom and she only dropped one fang and spider parts. I know it's cheesy but I was curious how random it was for them to drop venom. So I did a save before I started the fight then did a load and kill 20 times and it was the same every time, not once did it drop venom. Think they nerfed that one since you can cheese it.
I'm having an issue getting the trinket, I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or I'm triggering some obscure save scumming system that makes my loot repeat. I killed her hundreds of times last night and nothing.
You can make it really op because poison stacks so you can use the larva blade spider fang dagger widows dagger venom arrows super venom arrows and the club of the mother demon with the apex predator mutation this including the armor you can stack all of this poison to kill the mantis in a 10-20 seconds 😅
@@levelloko have you tested it? broodmother club poison counts as a own debuff not a poison debuff all spiders do take poison damage however its not as well

there is a way to make it better by using the broodmother club with apex preditor for the extra mamas toxins poison plus if you want to sacrifice a bit of poison damage you can replace the widow chestplate for a termite chestplate and it has a chance to leave a dust cloud if its on sleek and the dust cloud lowers damage and defence but you would need to rely on it not jumping around after the dust procs and you dont nessasaryly need moms genes really because the damage is neglitable imo and if you are good or just want to sacrifice more healing replacing mythro with apex preditor if you are using the mother demon club would be a much bigger increase and im saying use the motherdemon club mostly because the mamas toxins is super good and stacks with the super venom and the widow dagger has a limit to how much poison it can stack so you dont want to just keep hitting with it because it would be better for just base damage to use another weapon like a coaltana or what i call a budget coaltana because im dumb and i find getting the coaltana this update to be really hard so i just use a antlion greatsword with spicy for the weeknesses after you hit all the poisons but hey maybe im wrong about this but ive allways used termite chestplate and motherdemon helm on sleek so i could just be bias but this is what i use and the widow leggings for damage is great since the update and since i got them it is perfect even just to get those parry poison damage stack and the extra poison damage but if you want to be a little more defencive a roly polly leggings would do well but this is my build and its catered to my playsyle ive never really used shields because i just block better by using a regular weapon but this is just how i think it could possibley be changed

I'm still mad at this game right now, ive been playing sence this game came out on preview, all the updates, 20 days played over the last 2 years always 100% achievements and I cant 100% becuase I didn't get the gold Ruz.T card, completely bs, got every other gold card but screwed out of 100% becuase its luck based on that one card, completely un acceptable
Broodmother trinket doesn't give you free mom genes. It gives your summons (mom genes/mant) a poison effect to their attacks.
Basically only good if you rely on support spawns to help you out

Hey Bud, you can use assassin gene and it applies bleed already. So stacking the Poison pieces should give you a better return in theory.

i dont like stacking all the posions like that because the poison from the larva blade is preatty minimal and its just extra work

I’m fairly new. Went in with my level 6 coaltana and parry master and ran through the broodmother insanely easy

After facing broodmother myself, I'm confused how the broodmother is supposedly immune to poison.

Rusty spear for javelineer debuff on top of infection and fire ant shield for parry corrosion + poison.

based on the stream, I think the cons is the dagger will wear down quicker than other weapon just because it rely on speed.

I couldn't even fathom fighting a black widow let alone the broodmother so having to fight the mantis just seems like a stretch currently.

I believe drops are predetermined now so if you want to try that save before you sleep and spawn it and then see if that works
