Really, really enjoyed this video. What people won't understand (those who do not make content on YT), is that when you try to go out and take photos and film B-roll as well, it becomes more of an involving task to go out and shoot. Prime example would be at the 9:47 mark, the skater going up that wall would have been an absolutely stunning photo especially with the way the light was hitting on the tile, but the opp was missed because of having to shoot the filler content which is something we must do as creators. That is OK though. The photo of him with his hands on his hips was also very nice. But this is why people should appreciate videos like this even more. Subd for more of these. It's also funny that I have been thinking about traveling to Portugal in the fall and I found this video :P.
thank you, Xhynet! I appreciate that. First off, you should definitely stop by Portugal. Its a nice place! And to add to that, I agree with you that to shoot Broll as you take pictures is more work, for sure. But I would also add that in my experience once i got the groove of it it becomes a bit like auto. So I have been recommending people to try it out in that sense. Its not for everyone for sure. But it gets surprisingly easy after a while.. Even the whole idea where you might miss a shot, it is true, but usually i only make video of shots I have taken after the fact, or of scenes I am not considering as a photograph...In any case, you are very kind to leave these words. I hope people appreciate the content as well! 😅 Thank you for the support. Its encoraging to read meaningful messages like these! Have a great one.🙌🍻
So often I find myself viewing media in fast forward yet here I find myself constantly replaying small snippets, pausing on glimpses. I must have spent 40 minutes watching this 19 minute video. Thankyou Hugo you have such a gift.

Very good! The three-quarter frame takes us back in time, the images are off-frame, better reflecting the presence of space and reality, and of course, each still image freezes a moment of this tumultuous world, great! Really great!
Thank you! Really appreciate the words! 3/4 frame is definitely a nostalgic hack in a way. hard to get over the vintage look ahah Glad you enjoyed the images and concept too! Very kind of you!

Wonderful photography, music and narrative Hugo. Amazing nightime shots too. It looks a beautiful coastal location and that view point 13:16 is fabulous, so romantic. Porto appears to light up magnificently at night, what a beautiful city! I know it is a little north of Lisbon, does Porto have a similar climate? Thank you so much Hugo for taking us to Porto!
Hi Andy! hope you are doing well! thank you for the kind words and message. I am very happy you enjoyed it! Porto is indeed a very romantic city. In some ways even more than Lisbon, I find. That view point on the seaside is a classic one so I was a bit skeptical coming in but I found it really beautiful. It has a sort of larger than life scale to it👌 I really enjoyed the city at night as well. Really safe and peaceful, turns a bit into a smaller city which is a nice contrast from the busy day time. As for the weather, yes, Porto is known to be much cloudier than Lisbon. Where the later is sunny per excellence, the former is cloudy and rainy, in tune with the whole northern part of the Iberic Peninsula! It makes for a different character for sure! Have a wonderful week, Andy!🍻
