Can we all take 2 seconds to admire in even all of Bob's gentle-ness and his purity, how bold he can be, he makes a statement, he lives by it, he paints a big black line and makes it into a beautiful tree. He has a lifestyle worth living. Gentle yet bold, and he won't be moved. "God bless, and as always happy painting!" R.i.p
When I was first married I would watch these shows and tell my wife I think I could do this. She said I was nuts, 40 years later I’ve done about 35 paintings some better than others but it’s been really fun. Thank you Bob Ross.
I've never noticed before, but in this video (maybe my favorite of all his paintings) he never beats the devil out of the brush. Never even thought this could possibly happen 😊
I grew up watching all his shows with my dad because my father is a artist and a great painter he been watching his shows for long time til the day Bob Ross died even watch the reruns of his painting show now that my dad gone I been watching his paintings ever since even when he first made his debut on PBS back then RIP to the legend painter Bob Ross and to my dad the Artist in 2009
I love to watch Bob Ross paintings everytime no matter if I'm on the road, waiting for the doctor etc. Bob Ross video's are the best and helps me relax just watching and hearing his voice. Love always NYC.
I was writing with Bob in the background and I heard a loud heck plane and I was angry at the ad for scaring me but turns out it was good old Bob all along.
Bob Ross: talks for approximately 2 seconds about maaaaaybe making a little bit of money then corrects himself and goes back to the wholesome values. This man was so pure...
Bob: we'll put an almighty birch tree here Me: nice Bob: and just to keep it from getting lonely, we'll give it a little friend Me, through tears: nice...
You joke but I've been so starved for displays of kindness that I really have been crying since I started watching these, which is uncharacteristic of me.
I think he should have turned his "happy accident" at 17:57 into a canoe parked ashore. In one motion he created most of it. All of these episodes are timeless (including the era of half unbuttoned disco shirts with a gold medallion).
I've been watching in order from season 1 and this is the first time I've seen him use a phaser to make tree limbs...I was waiting for an explination but I had to just assume it was just an all mighty phaser painter I guess.
17:32 Did Bob just lie to me? :( One of his most relaxing videos, I don't know what it is, but the silence in the background (the slight machine hum), the plastic sound of that gun, and that incredible "neeoowwmmm"-pure bliss, I've had this video play many, many times in the background.
I love watching the early seasons when they were still figuring out how to run the show. This episode sounds like they had a noise gate up too high, and that's why it gets silent throughout the painting
Me: Bob Ross’ voice is really even and predictable, I’ll put him on to fall asleep.” Bob: “Let’s be brave NEYOOOM” Me: Oh shi I gotta rewind and watch that.
I really miss it when he doesn't say "God bless", and I'm not even a strong believer in the entity of god itself, but whenever Bob said it, it somehow really felt like he meant it.
Yo se que puede que sea de los pocos aquí que conoció a este gran artista gracias a él trailer de deadpool 2 y su referencia a Bob, pero que bueno de que hubo esa referencia ya que pude conocer a este gran artista.
He's amazing😭 i wish he were still alive and my age lol 😂❤ god damn. Men like this are Gods among other men. His patience and sweetness is beyond what I've ever seen in a man. 😢
Kayla B you’re not. I do it too. In fact, in an episode in one of the later series (don’t remember which) he mentions someone told him that they did it too. I suppose it’s been going on for a while, and Bob knew about it!
I wish we could get a shot of his set up just below the easel. Like the amount of magic white there is and just how many brushes are placed about. when he cleans a brush does he set it down and grab a "new" clean one? Thin oil or magic white? so many questions with no answers to be had anymore.
Here I am watching Bob Paint, then it dawns on me that when this episode was filmed, I was only 4 days old (filming date 28th Sept 1983) and now Im 40yrs old..😅
Can anyone tell me what that "paint gun" is he is using around 4:45? Long story short, I have nerve damage that makes painting branches like that over-challenging. I think the paint gun will solve my problems.
Bob Ross i love you so much ❤❤😍🥰 You are a handsome good looking😍 man. You are a great art teacher I love you artwork. You are a excellent artist. 🖼🏞👍🏆👩🎨🖌
He was in the military for 20 years. Now for me, that instigated a lifetime habit of cursing at life's little vicissitudes. But I only served four years. According to Ross, he was well and truly sick of all that by the time of discharge, and never wanted to raise his voice again. That's the story, at least.
Bob wouldn't so that, he'd look at the camera man and go "how about me and you go out for lunch and talk together about whatever you want.. what, ever you want my friend"
Does Bob use the turpenoid for the oderless paint thinner? I thought that i heard that on another video somewhere, but cant find it now. If someone would let me know I sure would appreciate it. I tried looking it up on amazon for Bob Ross paint thinner and it did list the turpenoid, sorry for the spelling, hope you know what i am talking about when i say that.
He never used turpentine. He explained why in S1E13, but to recap, turpentine leaves a residue that can only be washed out with soap and water. However, if you wash natural bristle brushes (the type recommended for this technique) with soap and water, they get fuzzy and lose their shape.
I think it’s refined linseed oil or safflower oil. If you search online art stores “Jerry’s Artarama” you can search for linseed oil. Idk what specific brand he used. Winsor&Newton or Gamblin are good brands. It’s basically the same oil “no pigment” that is in the paint you use.
This show makes me wanna travel to Belgium, where I eat too many chocolates, paint pictures in Grand Place where the spire of the Brussels town hall casts a shadow over me.
Elara Wuest It was recorded in September 1983 and aired in January 1984. Bob always filmed an entire season in 13-15 days and then, aired the season in January of the following year. The remainder of the time, he traveled the country teaching art classes.
Always wanted to try, but I'm one of those people who have no artistic ability (the kind of person that Bob insists could paint anyway!), so I took up quilting instead! It's the only way I can express my artistic soul in a visual medium! So far... Maybe if I just bought 3 colors of paint and learned to mix them... 😺💕🐾
I've been painting since last June, I've definitely seen improvement even though it's not nearly as easy as Bob makes it seem. Probably because he's been doing this for so long but it's definitely do-able even if you've never picked up a brush!
Can we all take 2 seconds to admire in even all of Bob's gentle-ness and his purity, how bold he can be, he makes a statement, he lives by it, he paints a big black line and makes it into a beautiful tree. Bob doing the reflections in the water is possibly my favorite part of every episode
He gets so excited and proud
I like when he uses the palette knife, it’s really calming
It's one of the most fun things while painting too.
"Let's get brave, N Y Y Y O O O O O O M"
-Bob Ross
Saw this comment as it happened. Absolutely hilarious
“F F Y Y Y Y Y Y U H” -Bob Ross
These noises makes him special I think !
And just like that an almighty river was reduced to a smelly puddle. RUINED
What is that little gun tool he used???
When I was first married I would watch these shows and tell my wife I think I could do this. She said I was nuts, 40 years later I’ve done about 35 paintings some better than others but it’s been really fun. Thank you Bob Ross.
Bob Ross is the definition of a genius. In every respect. I love everything about him.
I've never noticed before, but in this video (maybe my favorite of all his paintings) he never beats the devil out of the brush. Never even thought this could possibly happen 😊
let's get Brave line cracks me up every time
17:57 NEEEAOOOOOOWWMMMM
I was painting along with him, and when I reached that part, I had to stop, because I was laughing to hard to continue.
I like it when he wants to, "have a little fun."
I've always been too chicken to be a painter... 😺💕🐾
Rest in peace Bobby we miss you man.
"Paintings should always be fun. They should make you happy. That's when you're truly an artist." ❤️

Here's to two legends!
That is a beautiful memory to have. Thank you for sharing it. 💜
@@seonaelizabethcoster8465 sure thing no problem
Never' seen him use the paint gun to speed things along before!
What is that thing?
@@warrencolegrove1I know! I've never seen him use that. It looks like a hot glue gun, but with some type of metal tip. I would love to know myself!
Season 2 I think was the best! His voice was exceptional.
I love to watch Bob Ross paintings everytime no matter if I'm on the road, waiting for the doctor etc. Bob Ross video's are the best and helps me relax just watching and hearing his voice. Love always NYC.
Been a few years since I have last been to NYC.
The sound effects are the best!
17:52 I really don't see anything ruined there, it creates another plan in the painting which makes everything more interesting. Bravery test passed.
17:56 Bob Ross is the bravest of us all.
He is, always surprises me when he do this kind of thing
17:57 HE'S A CRAZY PERSON SOMEBODY STOP HIM
OH GOD NOOOO RUINED
just a happy little accident
+RenaissanceMaxx Too late! He did it too fast!
+RenaissanceMaxx Why so serious?
I almost spat my curry out xD
So happy they stopped playing that background music. Love you Bob 😊
That was only in season 1
Yeah! Painting some good 'ol nature and stu-OH MY GOD HE'S GOT A GUN!
😂😂😂
Dude YES my exact thoughts lmao thank you
Those tiny tree branches are literally "sons of a gun"!!! 😺💕🐾
Bob keeps my will to live strong while studying.
4 hours of Spanish homework later and I have 100 flashcards with little sketches and a Quizlet. ^-^
I was writing with Bob in the background and I heard a loud heck plane and I was angry at the ad for scaring me but turns out it was good old Bob all along.

17:57 GOOD GOD WHAT HAVE YOU DONE
21:20 huh you turned it around Bob Ross you legend!!!!
Bob also made a lot of happy little people.
C est super je suis contant de vous avoir retrouver, c est grace a vous si aujourd hui j aime la peinture. Je vous ecoutais en 1984. Merci
It's crazy how he makes water by just streaking down the paints above
2024?
Doesn't matter, this, is still my favorite content.
I think he should have turned his "happy accident" at 17:57 into a canoe parked ashore. In one motion he created most of it. All of these episodes are timeless (including the era of half unbuttoned disco shirts with a gold medallion).
Wonderful as ever, Bob the legend!
Bob was awesome.
OH LETS GET BRAVE LMAOOO....Bob Ross is very therapeutic. I fall asleep watching him lol
I've been watching in order from season 1 and this is the first time I've seen him use a phaser to make tree limbs...I was waiting for an explination but I had to just assume it was just an all mighty phaser painter I guess.
😂
Ten minutes in and he’s already painted a sky, a beautiful wood, and a lake
Three minutes to go and he paints an almighty tree trunk... 😺💕🐾
What is the difference whether he uses a brush, knife or gun... you see what he is doing..? A work of art...
What Bob Ross did in 8 minutes would take me all day to do
17:32 Did Bob just lie to me? :( One of his most relaxing videos, I don't know what it is, but the silence in the background (the slight machine hum), the plastic sound of that gun, and that incredible "neeoowwmmm"-pure bliss, I've had this video play many, many times in the background.
Watching on lunch break almost fell asleep
Mesmerising
4:30 "Now ummm...just gonna use this gun to paint these branches"
I thought the pallate was too big and looks funny but I love it. Im thinking to have one...bob ross a great painter.👏👏👏
It's your own world ❤️
Gangster episode.
Magic
Bob Ross. The show that encourages you to paint along with Bob himself.
Me: *ready to paint*
Bob: 4:29 *AND THEN I PULLED OUT MY GUN*
I love watching the early seasons when they were still figuring out how to run the show. This episode sounds like they had a noise gate up too high, and that's why it gets silent throughout the painting

U stupiiiid 😂
17:52 best bit
I was so calm until he said: "let's get brave" then swiped the whole bottom omg I panicked
Captions at 17:57- "(imitates plane engines)".
Can you imagine bob screaming at you to clean clean the latrine when he was a drill sergeant
Just pour in some odorless paint thinner and beat the devil out of the latrine with an almighty 2.5" brush!!! 😺💕🐾
Can you imagine if they would of given him a full hour for his show? His paintings would of bern spectacular! Not that they aren't already
He did an hour-long special called “The Grandeur of Summer”, IIRC.
Im sure Bob is in heaven helping God paint little clouds in the sky
"let's get brave"
17:56 I love that neeeeooooow.
Beautiful
I always like the moment when he starts digging into the Lizard Crimson and the Titanium Hwite. Then I know I'm back home.
"hwite" BAHAHAHAHAHA
Zsolt Bognar and don’t ferget bout the cad & indin yeller
ESPETACULAR.

Due to bobs skill and the way he does it it honestly looks like he’s Doing sone magic
I wouldn’t be surprised if bob ross was a magic man tho
Yo se que puede que sea de los pocos aquí que conoció a este gran artista gracias a él trailer de deadpool 2 y su referencia a Bob, pero que bueno de que hubo esa referencia ya que pude conocer a este gran artista.
Ima vary big fan of Bob,
Dude just deadass pulls out a gun and shoots his painting.
He's amazing😭 i wish he were still alive and my age lol 😂❤ god damn. Men like this are Gods among other men. His patience and sweetness is beyond what I've ever seen in a man. 😢
Let's get brave, plane noises, he cracks me up sometimes. 😂🤣
Am I the only one who watches him to fall asleep..jus me....ok..this is awkward
Kayla B you’re not. I do it too.
In fact, in an episode in one of the later series (don’t remember which) he mentions someone told him that they did it too. I suppose it’s been going on for a while, and Bob knew about it!
Prob would've found this NPS eventually but I found it on Hollowpoiint's channel and been using it as non-addictive NightQuil ever since.
Ahah, same! I actually just woke up...
Nope! I thought i was the only one haha.
Nope, me too
Dude what is that pistol brush I need that lol
I wish we could get a shot of his set up just below the easel. Like the amount of magic white there is and just how many brushes are placed about. when he cleans a brush does he set it down and grab a "new" clean one? Thin oil or magic white? so many questions with no answers to be had anymore.
Michael Gentry / Somidus I’ve seen his set up in videos and yes, he does have clean brushes lined up below the easel.
That might be the only gun Bob Ross would ever use.
Here I am watching Bob Paint, then it dawns on me that when this episode was filmed, I was only 4 days old (filming date 28th Sept 1983) and now Im 40yrs old..😅
THEY FIXED THE AUDIO
Can anyone tell me what that "paint gun" is he is using around 4:45? Long story short, I have nerve damage that makes painting branches like that over-challenging. I think the paint gun will solve my problems.
I think its a bicycle grease gun
그림의 섬세함이 좋네요^~^
When Bob put the brown in I thought it was a beaver dam 😳
LETS GET BRAVE OH FUUUUCCKK
Bonjour, quel est l'ustensile que vous utilisez pour faire les branches des arbres...merci pour vos vidéos...cordialement, Nadine
Nous n'avons aucune idee... C'est la grande question! 😺💕🐾
17:57 an airplane noise
To quote John Lennon: "[Gasp] You bounder! You cheat!!"

Bob Ross i love you so much ❤❤😍🥰
You are a handsome good looking😍 man. You are a great art teacher
I love you artwork. You are a excellent artist. 🖼🏞👍🏆👩🎨🖌
I would just love to see some obscenity filled out-takes with Bob threatening the camera man with his pallet knife
Some Bob Ross parodies do the obscenity thing :D
He was in the military for 20 years. Now for me, that instigated a lifetime habit of cursing at life's little vicissitudes. But I only served four years. According to Ross, he was well and truly sick of all that by the time of discharge, and never wanted to raise his voice again. That's the story, at least.
There are no out-takes. This show was filmed as is and not edited.
Bob wouldn't so that, he'd look at the camera man and go "how about me and you go out for lunch and talk together about whatever you want.. what, ever you want my friend"
17:57
How the actual fu*k did he get those trees and snow and sky done in a matter of minutes!?!?
Edit: nvm it wasn’t snow but it WAS for a moment
What's up with the paint gun lol? Too funny
Does Bob use the turpenoid for the oderless paint thinner? I thought that i heard that on another video somewhere, but cant find it now. If someone would let me know I sure would appreciate it. Probably linseed
Should read "pthalo". Whoever put the names of the colors on the screen done goofed.
@Nickhead87 Damn it, I made myself look like an ass. Well, I'll just see myself out...
This show makes me wanna travel to Belgium, where I eat too many chocolates, paint pictures in Grand Place where the spire of the Brussels town hall casts a shadow over me.

BRAVO LOVE YOU ❤❤❤❤❤
Curious as to why the video shows 1984 as air date but it's written as 9/1983..
Elara Wuest It was recorded in September 1983 and aired in January 1984. Bob always filmed an entire season in 13-15 days and then, aired the season in January of the following year. The remainder of the time, he traveled the country teaching art classes.
Bob I had a fan brush as my best friend but it never once bought a round of drinks were am I going wrong?
just curious friends. How many of you out there have actually tried this and had any success? Thinking of getting a starter kit...

is this a dream
I’m watching now in 2020, and bugging out.
It's only missing a couple rocks in the water. :)
26:05 when you realize you forgot to put red on your palette
What was the gun thing!? I want one
